Largest Re-enlistment Ceremony - Ever

I'm sure you already know about this. It was shown over and over on TV, right? 

OK, so maybe it wasn't shown over and over, but surely it was shown on TV at least one time, wasn't it ?

 

 

 

This was the largest re-enlistment ceremony ever held in military history.The ceremony was held on the 4th of July, 2008 at Al Faw Palace, Baghdad, Iraq . General David Petraeus officiated. This amazing story was ignored by the 'mainstream' media.

For those who have been in the Al Faw Palace, you'll have a better appreciation of the number of people crammed around the rotunda supporting the re-enlisting soldiers.

American men and women volunteering to stay longer in Iraq, so that when we leave, the new democracy will have a chance of surviving, is the exact opposite of what the media wants you to think about Iraq.  If only a bomb had killed 5 civilians in a marketplace - now that's the kind of news the media is eager to tell you about.

 

A pizzeria in Chicago donated 2000 pizzas that were made and shipped toBaghdad , and were delivered on the 4th. 

 

The media did report that 2000 pizzas were sent to Iraq on July 4th...  The only part they left out of the report was the event for which the pizzas were sent.

I can't help but wonder...

What would the opinion of Americans be if they weren't getting such obviously biased 'news?'

I just have to say...had OJ been found guilty 13 years ago (and he should have been) He probably would have received a break with it being a Crime of Passion and only spent a quarter of the time he is facing now, behind bars!!!!! He probably would have been getting out of jail any day now...HOWEVER, NOW with his Kidnapping and Robbery charges (10 felony charges in all) He faces possibly, life in prison. 13 years later..after 13 hours of diliberating...maybe thirteen is OJ's unlucky number??? You can only SNUB your nose at the long hand of the law, thinking you are untouchable, for so long...

The Bail out could be passed TODAY if the Democrats would just vote it in. WE ALL know that there are enough of them to pass it by themselves! Course, they want enough Republicans to go along with it too in CASE it fails, so that they won't take all of the heat. Well, with Bush supporting it, I DOUBT that would happen! No, they want it to look as if the Republicans cannot make up their minds...therefor "reducing their numbers" at election time!!!!! NO ONE will ever agree to EVERY point in this Bail out. I for one, do NOT want to pay the CEO's all their retirement package, etc...
Give them their pay as if they were given their two week notice and let them look for another Job at 40,000 a day!
I also DO NOT want to help out every home owner that got their loans with BAD Credit or NO MONEY down...I work hard to have my house and protect my equity...Years ago when I bought, you had to prove everything, wait for PMI to call you time and time again, for yet MORE info. to make sure you could afford it...THEY PROTECTED the lending institutions from this type of fallout by making sure the ones getting the loans COULD afford the Loans. I do not want to PAY for everyone elses loans now!!

HOWEVER, this bailout has to be passed to ensure our market stabilizes and that this panic that is going on now, STOPS!!! There are good proposals in the House with stipulations for Insurance and pay back...more of a Work out as Newt stated..not so much bail out!!! Pelosi is distructive to the welfare of the American people and to the progress needed by each party coming together, for the good of our Economy....A Snake in Politicians clothing!

Matt Damon should be ashamed of himself comparing Palin to a "Bad Disney movie" She is an EXPERIENCED GOV. to quote Newt Gingrich;

The Investor's Business Daily editorial board asked, 'What would happen if the U.S. won a war but the media didn't tell the American public? Apparently, we have to rely on a British newspaper for the news that we've defeated the last remnants of al-Qaida in Iraq .'

London's Sunday Times called it 'the culmination of one of the most spectacular victories of the war on terror.' A terrorist force that once numbered more than 12,000, with strongholds in the west and central regions of Iraq, has over two years been reduced to a mere 1,200 fighters, backed against the wall in the northern city of Mosul.

The destruction of al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) is one of the most unlikely and unforeseen events in the long history of American warfare. We can thank President Bush's surge strategy, in which he bucked both Republican and Democratic leaders in Washington by increasing our forces there instead of surrendering.

We can also thank the leadership of the new general he placed in charge there, David Petraeus, who may be the foremost expert in the world on counter-insurgency warfare. And we can thank those serving in our military in Iraq who engaged local Iraqi tribal leaders and convinced them America was their friend and AQI their enemy.

Al-Qaida's loss of the hearts and minds of ordinary Iraqis began in Anbar Province , which had been written off as a basket case, and spread out from there.

Now, in Operation Lion's Roar the Iraqi army and the U.S. 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment is destroying the fraction of terrorists who are left. More than 1,000 AQI operatives have already been apprehended.

Sunday Times reporter Marie Colvin, traveling with Iraqi forces in Mosul, found little AQI presence even in bullet-ridden residential areas that were once insurgency strongholds, and reported that the terrorists have lost control of its Mosul urban base, with what is left of the organization having fled south into the countryside.

Meanwhile, the State Department reports that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's 20 government has achieved 'satisfactory' progress on 15 of the 18 political benchmarks — a big change for the better from a year ago.

Things are going so well that Maliki has even for the first time floated the idea of a timetable for withdrawal of American forces. He did so while visiting the United Arab Emirates, which over the weekend announced that it was forgiving almost $7 billion of debt owed by Baghdad — an impressive vote of confidence from a fellow Arab state in the future of a free Iraq.

But where are the headlines and the front-page stories about all this good20 news? As the Media Research Center pointed out last week, 'the CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News and CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 were silent Tuesday night about the benchmarks' that signaled political progress.

The war in Iraq has been turned around 180 degrees both militarily and politically because the president stuck to his guns. Yet apart from IBD, Fox News Channel and parts of the foreign press, the media don't seem to consider this historic event a big story.

For those of you that are not educated on ABORTIONS and want women to have the right to KILL a baby if she wants, here are some facts for you;

A baby is FULLY developed at 12 weeks...that's three months. Our government allows abortions up to 6 months! That's murder.

The abortion clinics WILL NOT show a video of how developed the baby is...they are not allowed to! WHY? Because then the patients would SEE That it IS A BABY!!!!!

Birth control STARTS AT TIME OF CONCEPTION! If you DON'T want to be Pregnant, DON'T Screw around without protection, then go oops?! People are waiting to ADOPT babies!!!!!!!

I do believe there are extreme conditions where it is needed, such as the Mother's health is threatened. HEALTH I said...not lifestyle!!!!!!

If you shoot a pregnant woman and she is pregnant (no matter HOW far along) you will be charged with DOUBLE homicide. SO, why is a baby a baby then and not when a woman is KILLING it inside herself??????

Imagine that Jillian and Steve...a baby that looks just like Ruby when she was born, only much smaller, being sucked to pieces, or cut to pieces, burned chemically inside a woman then sucked out...has anyone seen what actually happens. The baby actually tries to move away from the foreign device that is trying to kill it during an abortion! I've seen these videos!

SAD, SAD, SAD, SAD...more people should look into what really happens to the BABY before they keep screaming that it is a womans "right"!!!!! What about the babies RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I think it's Pathetic that Jillian chose to air her WRONG and SLANDEROUS opinion of Laura Bush. She is proud to be having a new son-in-law because she obviously is very happy for her daughter!!!!! My son was married this last year and it is a Wonderful event in everyone's lives (maybe one day your daughter will invite you to hers...or not)!

The "Sons" you stated will never get married because they were killed in Iraq, signed up to defend their country and were part of aour AMERICAN MILITARY!!!! AND THEY ARE SO PROUD TO BE PART OF IT!!!! I know,  I have family that was in the Military! Wasn't your husband proud to be a Marine...SURE he was!

There were more "SONS" KILLED by ILLEGAL ALIENS since the war started than in IRAQ!  Why do you chose to just forget that fact Jillian??? I really thought you started to understand things more...guess not!

I am so tired of hearing the racist remarks of Obama. This morning he states that the Black community is where it is because "50 years ago the black man was not allowed to get a loan..the black schools were inadequate..." Ok, so then what about the LAST 50 YEARS?????? Where are ALL his campaign funds coming from that he can out-raise a Clinton??? What country are they coming from? Who are his major backers besides a Kennedy? Why don't reporters ask for this info from him?
