Good Morning,

Carter is nearly 7 weeks old and we are finally getting more sleep at night ... yeah!!  Thanks to all of you who sent in your advice. It really helped us get  Carter on a pretty good schedule. Carter gave us his first real smile this week and coos when we make funny faces at him... it's so sweet.  I'm getting out of the house with the kids a few times a week... but running around ( even going to the grocery store) is a challenge with two small children. I haven't figured out how to do it alone. I think it just takes some practice :)

Cassidy is growing up so fast and just loves her little brother! I can't wait until Carter is old enough to play with her. She started walking a couple weeks after Carter was born and she is all over the place. She has also been a real trooper this week. She has so many teeth coming in right now and has hardly fussed one bit.

Hope you have a great week .. talk to you soon

Tracy

Glad to hear things are well Tracy! My kids were the same way when teething! I'd happen to look in their mouth (or get bit) and they'd have a few more every time! As for the running around with two little ones...all I can say is...GOOD LUCK! At least one is still in a car seat! My girls are 19 mos apart, although they are not as close in age as yours, I still feel like I know where you are coming from. Believe me there were many times where I was literally afraid (intimidated) to leave my house with them! Many times I felt so over whelmed I sat and cried, BUT you get thru it and every bit of the challenge is worth everything! I can tell you going from 1 to 2 children was 100 times harder than going from 2 to 3. We added our third this summer and it's been smooth sailing minus his first 2 weeks when we ran into some pretty tough health issues with him. I do want to ask you how CJ's acid reflux is going. Our little guy had a really tough time with that the first few months. He still has issues, but recently he's been sleeping on his belly and I think it's helping. I was just curious how CJ sleeps and if you have heard of any tips that help. He's on Pepcid twice a day and still has some trouble. Don't ask me where he inhereited the stomach issues from because I have a stomach of steel and so does my husband!! Even our girls never had any belly probs. In fact, when our oldest was at her 6 mos check up, I started her on formula at 4 1/2 mos and the DR asked what formula is she on? And my husband laughed and said what ever sample/coupons we have that's what she's on. The Doc jus

Tracy, you and John have such a beautiful family. CJ is getting so big and Cassie is such a little lady. My youngest daughter Chandala will be a year on Jan 5th so I am very excited!! I understand with the teething, my daughter is drooling like niagra falls but really isn't to fussy. She has 5 teeth now and it looks like 3 more are coming and she brushes her teeth with me twice a day as well. It is so cute. What do you give, if anything, to Cassie for the teething. Reason being, a friend of mine told me about teething tablets, and let me tell you they are so nice. They are homeopathic and only numb the nerves in the gums and as soon as they hit their little mouths they disolve, so messy gels or crazy amounts of tylenol. Chandala even puts them in her own mouth, so they must taste ok. Just for your info in case your interested in trying them, the name of them is Hyland's and the cheapest place I have found them is at Discount Drug Mart. They do have them at Target, and Rite Aid as well. They have been a blessing. So Cassie just started walking, that is fantastic. Chandala started on Oct 19 and is almost running now, she wears me out. It is so cute to watch them though and even better when they fall or are sitting and go to get up, cause they find some funny ways to stand. Well get some rest and have a fantastic Christmas and New year.

About Me: I was born and raised in Copley Township. I get up at 2 a.m. every morning and I hit the road while most people are still sleeping. This is the second time I have worked at Fox 8 News. I started here as an intern in the mid 90's while attending Kent State University. I basically started at the bottom and worked my way up. My first job at Fox 8 was ripping scripts for the Ten o'clock news and running the teleprompter for Tim Taylor and Wilma Smith. By the time I left Fox 8 for the first time I was producing the 8 a.m. morning newscast. I left for a short period of time to work on my skills as a reporter. I worked for a year and a half in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent time in Columbus before coming back to Fox 8. In 2000, Fox 8 hired me to launch Studio 8 at Summit Mall. Today, I am the morning co-anchor along side Wayne Dawson for Fox 8 News in the Morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. I love the fact people start their day with us. When I am out and about and I meet a viewer they always make me feel like I am part of their family. My work hours are great for raising two young children. I enjoy every minute I have with my husband, Cassidy and baby CJ. Oh, I can't forget our two big dogs Sam and Nikko.
