He is much more than the leading scorer in the National Hockey League last season. The Lightning's Vinny Lecavalier is something else to children. Three big cheers for Vinny who this week teamed up with "All Children's Hospital" in St. Petersburg. He's giving three million dollars to create the Vincent Lecavalier pediatric cancer and blood disorders center.
Vinny has spent many hours with kids at All Children's. He says they have touched his heart, and he wants to do all he can to help them. Thanks Vinny for being such a class act.

I'M THE HOCKEY NUT AT FOX 13. ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME, KNOWS HOW MUCH I LOVE THE SPORT. I'VE PLAYED IT, COACHED IT AND NOW I EVEN REF IT. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RE FROM TORONTO CANADA. MY FAMILY MOVED FROM CANADA TO CALIFORNIA WAY BACK IN 1964. THE GOLDEN STATE IS WHERE MY BROADCASTING CAREER BEGAN AT STATIONS IN SAN JOSE AND SACRAMENTO BUT IN 1994 I MADE THE BEST MOVE OF MY CAREER BY MOVING TO FOX 13 IN TAMPA. NOW 13 YEARS LATER I'M STILL ENJOYING BOTH THE STATION AND THE AREA. I'VE TRADED THE GOLDEN STATE FOR THE SUNSHINE STATE, AND WHAT A TRADE ITS BEEN. BY THE WAY, GO LIGHTNING!
