Do you remember when you were a teenager? Is is too long ago? Well let me refresh your memory. When you were 16 you knew everything, or at least you thought so. Take for instance the teen who drilled into an ammonia pipeline in Riverview. He was reportedly sure there was money in the pipe and he was going to lay claim to it. Oh by the way youngster, there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow also. When I knew everything at age 16 I was recruited by some Dads in my neighborhood to go Snipe hunting. I had heard of this hunt before. You take a paper grocery bag and a flashlight, find a field with high brush, then rummage through the field. If you're a good hunter the Snipe run right toward your flashlight and straight into your bag. By the way, a snipe is real. It is any various long billed shore or marsh birds. Never had any luck catching snipe that night, but since I knew everything, I figured it was just bad luck. For the Dad's who were there, it was a big laugh on me and some of my friends. Now the laugh is on the kid who thought there was money in the ammonia pipe. And he thought he knew everything!  In all seriousness this young man was hurt in this incident and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Tom, I know exactly what you mean by the snipe hunt - a great Canadian tradition.

I remember when I was a teenager and the girls I dated would try to get me to go down to the lakeside at night to watch the submarine races. They were really sneaky about it, snuggling up to me and whispering in my ear how much fun it would be to go down there and watch those submarine races.

But I was too smart even back then. I knew there were no submarines in the lake and what's more who would watch a submarine race at night? They couldn't fool me. The girls seemed disappointed I wouldn't fall for their trick, and none of them ever wanted to go out with me again.

These criminals were looking for treasure in an ammonia pipeline? Come on Tom.

They were looking for an ingredient to make drugs.

They do not deserve sympathy and earned any pain and suffering they brought upon themselves.

I did some pretty dumb things myself at 16.

I do not know how any of us males survived to be 22, chico, it had to be our guardian angel.

Nonetheless, the little punk was trying to pilfewr some liquid and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars damage. He deserves jail time for sure (at least in a juvenile lockup)..

Yeah, Just keep in mind. Let he is who is without sin cast the first stone. Sure he is an idiot and probably into drugs and everything else. That doesn't mean that he should be condemned at a point in his life where he can still be saved.
