Yes its that time of year when we go over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go. For many that will mean hopping on board a big jet that will have us there in just a few hours. But, its not really that easy  when you are surrounded by ugly passengers. I'm not talking about their appearance, I'm talking about  their ugly manners when it comes to travel. Here are a few of my personal favorites

1) The stranger next to you is not about to let you have any of that armrest.

2) The guy that refuses to put his window shade up so we can see that crummy movie in darkness rather than high noon.

3) How about the littke kid banging on your seat back while the parents think he's so cute.

4) I have my headphones on but the guy next to me still wants to talk about something no one is interested in.

Hop on the blog to share some of your favorites

Happy tavels!

Tom, I have always been pretty lucky and I have done a lot of flying over the course of my career. The funniest thing I've ever heard about air travel was a friend of mine flying down from Boston. She insisted on bringing live lobsters from Legal Seafood. Bostonian's take their lobster very serious. Unfortunately they do not travel that well and wanted out of the cooler. It tipped over in the overhead and the lobster "juice" dripped down on the middle seat, not the seat she was sitting in!

Didn't you hear that Grandma got run over by a Reindeer? Sorry, I don't have any other stories about air travel except that one.lol
Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas, oops I said the C word, the PC police will be out.

I was on an overseas flight with a connection in Atlanta. We sat forever waiting for one passenger who didn't show up. The airline finally took the luggage off when our tardy passenger showed up. She had been in the bar and literally stumbled on. (Why they ever allowed her to fly was beyond belief!) Everyone on the flight boo-ed! her and all she could do was giggle. Next they had to find her luggage that they took off and bring it back which caused more of a delay. We were incredibly late taking off for an already long flight.

Tom, after the ordeal of waiting in terminal passenger lines for inspections and the occasional Beagle (hound dog) sniffing around, I am so elated to be airborne that even a hijacking probably wouldn't discourage me.

I fly twice a week commuting to and from work and sometimes a few times during work. Tom you have hit some good ones here are my fav:
Having the passenger behind you use your seat back as a balance tool to sit down yanking it backwards, and pulling some hair at times.

2: Continue to speak in that cell phone after being told three times to turn it off and aircraft is moving.
3: Waiting till 5 minutes out from landing and having everyone realized they have a bladder problem and line up for the restroom.

Thank god I'm not traveling because I would have to wait in those long lines to get on my plane!

THE GOLDEN STATE IS WHERE MY BROADCASTING CAREER BEGAN AT STATIONS IN SAN JOSE AND SACRAMENTO BUT IN 1994 I MADE THE BEST MOVE OF MY CAREER BY MOVING TO FOX 13 IN TAMPA. NOW 13 YEARS LATER I'M STILL ENJOYING BOTH THE STATION AND THE AREA. I'VE TRADED THE GOLDEN STATE FOR THE SUNSHINE STATE, AND WHAT A TRADE ITS BEEN. BY THE WAY, GO LIGHTNING!
