Parkinson's update

It has been several weeks since I told you all about my fight with Parkinson' s Disease and I have got to tell you how good you've made me feel. Former viewers in California and  viewers here in Florida have been so kind. I have had several Parkinson's Group's make contact with be about golf  tournaments to speaking to folks and everything in between. In July I'll be speaking at a Parkinson's convention in Atlanta.

Thanks to all of you you only know me as that guy that does the morning news. You are all wonderful.

Tom, I'm delighted to see you back on in the mornings, and you're doing a fine job. I'm also delighted that you can serve as a role model for those who have been recently diagnosed with the disease.

As well, consider yourself lucky that even though you're from Toronto, you're now a Lightning fan. Only those in their 40s and older can remember when Toronto last won a Stanley Cup.

Tom, You have set a wonderful example to our young people today. You have shown our children that anything is possible to over come if you want to over come it.

I'm glad you decided to share your news with us.It may seem silly but after so many years of watching you and the rest we get a connection with each one of you.Take care of your self and family first but also keep in mind that you have become a part of a lot of families that have had you in our homes and hearts for many years.We are out here cheering you on .Good luck and may God Bless you every day.

I'M THE HOCKEY NUT AT FOX 13. ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME, KNOWS HOW MUCH I LOVE THE SPORT. I'VE PLAYED IT, COACHED IT AND NOW I EVEN REF IT. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RE FROM TORONTO CANADA. MY FAMILY MOVED FROM CANADA TO CALIFORNIA WAY BACK IN 1964. THE GOLDEN STATE IS WHERE MY BROADCASTING CAREER BEGAN AT STATIONS IN SAN JOSE AND SACRAMENTO BUT IN 1994 I MADE THE BEST MOVE OF MY CAREER BY MOVING TO FOX 13 IN TAMPA. NOW 13 YEARS LATER I'M STILL ENJOYING BOTH THE STATION AND THE AREA. I'VE TRADED THE GOLDEN STATE FOR THE SUNSHINE STATE, AND WHAT A TRADE ITS BEEN. BY THE WAY, GO LIGHTNING!
