Isn't it interesting how something bad can be turned into something very positive.  I have been watching that happen in my own life.  Since revealing my Parkinson's disease this spring, many local, state and national organizations have invited me to be a part of various fundraising efforts. The biggest of which is the  National Parkinson's Foundation annual conference. They asked my to deilver the welcome speech to about 400 plus participants in August at the Omni Hotel. I'll be there.  Thanks again to all of you who have supported my in my own fight with P.D.

Tom, you are to be admired for doing what you're doing. So many people don't understand what this even is and I have relatives that have had it and always wished I knew more about it. You are a refreshing part of our mornings and the morning team would NEVER be the same without you. Hang in there and God bless you.

MY FAMILY MOVED FROM CANADA TO CALIFORNIA WAY BACK IN 1964. THE GOLDEN STATE IS WHERE MY BROADCASTING CAREER BEGAN AT STATIONS IN SAN JOSE AND SACRAMENTO BUT IN 1994 I MADE THE BEST MOVE OF MY CAREER BY MOVING TO FOX 13 IN TAMPA. NOW 13 YEARS LATER I'M STILL ENJOYING BOTH THE STATION AND THE AREA. I'VE TRADED THE GOLDEN STATE FOR THE SUNSHINE STATE, AND WHAT A TRADE ITS BEEN. BY THE WAY, GO LIGHTNING!
