Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will campaign together next week. An effort to slap a band-aid on the rift some say they sliced right through Democratic Party.

Some of you love that idea-

And we bet some of you flat out hate it.

Let us know what you think.

The only ones saying competition between Obama and Clinton sliced right through the Democratic Party are right-wingers upset by renewed vigor on the part of their own competition. It'll be good to see the two of them, both strong personalities who are popular with their congressional constituencies, campaign together. Their competition during the primaries was all part and parcel of democracy, a notion that hasn't been much in play in America over the past eight years -- but, thankfully, is making a comeback.

Nice try Joe but WRONG again..There are a SUBSTANTIAL number of Hillary Supporters who have VOWED to vote for McCain rather then Obama and NONE ofTHEM is a Right Winger..

Curiously enough,,I happen to be a Right Winger who APPLAUDS this unholy union..It is SURE to bring BILL back into the picture and THAT would be bad enough for Obama that even calls to change the Constitution to let GWB run again would NOT be beyond the realm of possibility..LMAO..

It's a strategy they have cooked up to take control...they are desperate to win this election! At this point, Obama will do anything he can so watch out because the Pipe Piper is fixing to play his flute for all his little insignificant rats that he really despises.

Joe is among the “core democrats” who put being a democrat above actual candidates the same as he puts it above being an American. This “move” is a sell out by Hillary who should have had the high ground from the beginning of this race...she is 10 times more a leader than Obama will ever be. Bending her to his campaign is an insult.

They are campaigning together. SO??????

It was recently announced that bush would be campaigning for McCain. Gee, seems like those 2 have had their harsh words against each other in the past. And yet it was no surprise when McCain endorsed bush when bush won the nomination in 2000. This happens every Presidential election on both sides of the aisle, it's no big deal.

BTW - has the mouthpiece of the far right conservatives thrown her support to McCain yet?

Per Ann Coulter 01/23/08:

"John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most "electable" Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole didn't lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk.

Of course, I might lie constantly too, if I were seeking the Republican presidential nomination after enthusiastically promoting amnesty for illegal aliens, Social Security credit for illegal aliens, criminal trials for terrorists, stem-cell research on human embryos, crackpot global warming legislation and free speech-crushing campaign-finance laws."

Candy - what wasn't nice? I'm simply saying that the attacks during the primaries are always forgotten once one of the candidates win the nomination, so Clinton campaigning with Obama is the same "slapping of a band-aid on" that both parties do.

As for the coulter statement, I was just repeating what she said. And even after calling McCain a liar, she will support his nomination. The politicians, or in this case the groupies, always think voters have short memories. Unfortunately, it seems too many times they are right to think this.

And there it is yet again , the time honored liberal answer to any accusation about a democrat “They all do it so it does not matter” ...as far as Ann's comments I agree with her that McCain is not my favorite BUT we are not in a position to pick McCain out of an open field of any one we want it is a matter of McCain -V- Obama and there is no comparison War Hero -V- Total Zero ...

Hmmm - not if the War Hero vs Total Zero works the same way it did last time.

So are you saying that the band-aid approch hasn't been done before? Since you know so much, why don't you tell us the last Republican or Democrat candidate who did not kiss & make up with the nominee from their party.

Last time? War criminal (John Kerry) -V- Bush ? George W was never called a hero just as Obama will never be accused of being an American or Hard working or even mentally stable...So tell me bright boy when did Bob Dole give his support to the opposition when he lost the nomination ? LOL
I have an even better one when was the last time the Democrats allowed a member to step out of the party lines and NOT move against that person ?

Are you talking 1980 or 1988? Do you have a link to back that up or is this as reliable as the GDP & Unemployment BS you hope people believe? But even so, thanks for making my point. That would be 1 out of how many primary candidates, over how many presidential elections? Yep, Clinton campaigning with Obama certainly would be rare for primary candidates, wouldn't it?

War criminal, good one - shows how easy it is for the far right zealots to make you believe anything they say.

Hey, at least you are right about GWB never being called a hero.
