This morning on Good Day, Russell and Anne showed off a few ways to boil the perfect eggs for hunting this Easter-- but we know you have suggestions.  So tell us-- how do you boil your eggs so they'll come out just right for decorating?  Any special tricks you want to share?  Post them here, and Happy Easter!

FF, it's not funny. I'm hope to graduate from my velco.

Anne, your method is correct. The problem you are having is when you go to peel it, start at the "fat" end of the egg. There is a thin membrane between the eggshell and the egg. Once you are able to pierce through that membrane the egg will even without water. Try it and let me know. I make egg salad almost every week and it works every time for me.

I've found that the only way to boil an egg that guarantees an easy peel is as follows.

With the tip of a knife or ice pick, gently tap the fat end of the egg till you make a small hole. Heat water to just under a boil and, with tongs, slowly imerse the egg. You will notice bubbles from the hole. Set timer to 15 minutes NOW. When the water heats to just under a boil again, turn down the heat to a high simmer.

Remove from heat when the timer sounds and put the pot in your sink. Let cold water slowly flow into the pot till eggs are cool.

If you color them, some color will enter the shell.

I've been doing it like this for decades and never have a bad peel.
