Get Osama Bin Laden before I leave office, orders George W Bush

President George W Bush has enlisted British special forces in a final attempt to capture Osama Bin Laden before he leaves the White House.

Defence and intelligence sources in Washington and London confirmed that a renewed hunt was on for the leader of the September 11 attacks. “If he [Bush] can say he has killed Saddam Hussein and captured Bin Laden, he can claim to have left the world a safer place,” said a US intelligence source.

Intelligence on the whereabouts of Bin Laden is sketchy, but some analysts believe he is in the Bajaur tribal zone in northwest Pakistan. He has evaded capture for nearly seven years. “Bush is swinging for the fences in the hope of scoring a home run,” said an intelligence source, using a baseball metaphor.

A Pentagon source said US forces were rolling up Al-Qaeda’s network in Pakistan in the hope of pushing Bin Laden towards the Afghan border, where the US military and bombers with guided missiles were lying in wait. “They are prepping for a major battle,” he said.

The main operations in Pakistan are being undertaken by Delta, the US army special operations unit, and the British SBS.

Special forces are being sent to capture or kill Al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters based on intelligence provided by the Special Reconnaissance Regiment and its US counterpart, the Security Co-ordination Detachment.

Robert Gates, the US defence secretary, said last week that the US would “partner [the Pakistanis] to the extent they want us to” to combat insurgents.

Hard to believe it's been nearly 7 years since 9-11 and Bin Laden is still out there.

Never too late.... From sources in the DoD, I have knowledge that his days are numbered. Probably the largest UK, US and Pak effort to get him in 5years.

Dont worry. It took 5 years to find the Olympic bomber... and this clown Ben Laden DOES NOT want to be caught.

That's what I SAYING...it will never be too late to captured that piece of RAT FILFTH......I will Pray that Bush has his WAY...I would love to see him get this Glory so that people that have bash this Man for so many years CAN EAT UP their poo........THANK YOU BUSH......I knew he wasn't going to leave without one last attempt and I PRAY HE GETS HIM...Bush deserves it....God Forbid the Dems should do it....CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT...their foolishness they would forgive him Heck maybe give him a crown. I know you like our esteemed leader candy, so I will be gentle.

I hope Bin laden is captured or killed or both, along with a few thousand more terrorists.

My question : why not this push 6 years ago? or 5, or 4, or 3, or 2 ,or 1?

If this is a last ditch effort to bring a small amount of credibility to an otherwise miserable failure...so be it.

The capture of Bin laden will not erase the other failures and misdeeds of this administration.

See, I did not refer to George as Dumbo the Flying Fool even once!

lol..Yellowdog..you are a gentleman..I don't care what nobody sezs...listen I understand that not all was ran in order and perfection, but I am sorry being a democrat myself of 30 years..I am yet to praise one of those...and honestly I have to give Bush that much..he has kept America Safe..after all noone other than the Clinton administration knew of this threat which came to pass not too long after Bush was elected.....coincedence...I think not. I still, however, respect your thoughts, but I am a CHANGED WOMAN....LETS SAY THE CANDY REDEMPTION....and I believe in Bush and I can only hope HE GOES OUT WITH ALL THE PRIDE AND DIGNITY HE DESERVES..after all it wasn't bad UP UNTIL.........9-11. Of course, these are my opinions. As to the many soldiers lost, my condolences but think for a moment, at least I knew many that went into the service JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT TO GET A FREE EDUCATION; FREE HOUSING IT WAS ALL GOOD..UNTIL THEY ALL HAD TO DO THE JOB......THEY REALLY SIGNED UP FOR.

YD, while Bush has squandered many things, at least we havent had an attack since 911 while your pal Billyboy had Americans getting bombed time after time and being criminally neglect in 911 warnings. Iraq is not a Failure, the economy which Bush cant control greedy housing lenders, and Big Oil Spec creeps is the only bad thing in the economy. THis economy is flourishing and I know the Leftie MSNBC tells you no, but it is growing and the envy of all nations. But Like Clinton, Bush didnt clean up a Corrupt DC, Congress, waste, etc.

See I didnt refer to Billy boy Clinton as the Seriel Rapist even once. !

It's OUR'S..

As far as Pakistan and OBL is concerned I wonder how much the recent announcement of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan to "Go In" to Pakistan,, Technically a U.S.Ally, had to do with this newest push..

OBL IS and has been for a LONG time,,an insignificant figure in the overall scheme of things..His continued existance of LACK thereof will have NO effect on the War on Terror..

THIS war will continue until the side that STARTED it,, namely the Terrorists,, call an END to it ( and MAYBE not even THEN,, there will ALWAYS be a faction that will NEVER settle for PEACE ) or the LAST ONE has assumed room Temperature...

A year after declaring "we'll get Bid Laden, dead or alive," Bush said his capture simply "wasn't important." Now, with his ratings down in the dumps with the economy and national morale, he's changing his tune again. The man is as steady as a weathervane in gale force winds. What comes out of his mouth is meaningless and untrustworthy.

All to true Hawkeye but we must “pander” to idiots in blue (yellow dog) who are incapable of seeing anything other than icons ...just as he worships at the feet of Joseph Stalin behind a donkey mask he will only ever understand the death of OBL as having any meaning. You have to remember he is one of the people supporting a guy (BHO) that believes the “WOT” can be fought and won all inside the borders of Afghanistan...funny in that our entry into this war started very very very far from that chosen location !

Dead or Alive thats right! Show me where Bush said he was going to do it before he left office..... He didn't and this is just more rhetoric from the left.

Funny how when a Democrat is in office, we can wait FOREVER to get OBL... even offer him on a silver platter mulitple times and we declined!

Yet now we have a Republican in office and suddenly yesterday isn't fast enough? Don't say its because he killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 because he's been killing Americans for the better part of two decades now!!

What Bush is doing is taking everything he can to hunt him down because by chance Obama gets into office, the hunt will be done! Obama already said so with his intensions of pulling troop out and then IF thing get bad again, we MIGHT put them back! THATS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPEND IN CLINTIONS TERMS!!! Pulled everything back and NEVER went back!

Hey TG, it isn't about "slick Willie" it's about our current esteemed leader, George (can't find my way to Larry Craigs toilet) Bush.

BTW, I never voted for Billy Boy and think he was a real pansy with any serious issue...but how many soldiers died during his term and what was our budget deficit?What was the price of gas and how was the housing market doing?

You boot lickers comprise the thundering 18% of people who think Crudo is just swell.

Repeating the same, tired old lies and trying to blame Carter or Clinton or anybody else, does not change the fact that George is the worst excuse for a President in our history...sorry Candy...the boys riled my Irish temper.

I'd love to see Bin Laden's head on a platter before Bush's term ends, just to shut the Dummycrap's up! He didn't start the problem, but I'd damn sure like to see him go out in a blaze of glory and finish it! Don't ya know people would have been standing on their heads, peeing in their pants, and spinning their heads around, if WE HADN'T gone over THERE and kicked ASSS, after 9/11?

If they can capture and try him or kill him outright that would be fine, nothing beats sending a clear and easily understood message worldwide. It will not mean that the war against terrorism is over though, Osama has a dedicated group of lieutenants ready to step up to the plate. They will do so with the understanding that the pitcher will throw at them though, rather than giving them the opportunity to get a hit !

For Yellow Dog , that would be 8,400 soldiers died for Bill Clinton's “ Peace” the housing market would be 300% lower than it was for the past 4 years (yes even with a full 1% foreclosure rate George still beat the @#@% out of Billy ) you got me on gas pricing but on GDP Bush is ahead by 178% and unemployment was 300% higher at its lowest point under Billy....and the winner is President George W Bush ! LOL@YOU-YD
