The 10 worst sports franchises.
Kansas City Royals
Having a cheap owner is a shortcut to getting on this list. Royals owner David Glass plays the small-market victim card as frequently as possible, but he's always first in line to receive revenue sharing or any other type of financial aid that MLB is happy to toss into his beggar's cap. And if Glass plays the role, his team's roster looks like a charity case. They never re-sign their stars, opting to use unproven youngsters and expired veterans to compose a team. Under Glass, the Royals have averaged 96 losses per season.
Puzzling personnel plays: Trading Johnny Damon, Carlos Beltran and Jermaine Dye; and signing Juan Gonzalez.
Remember ... 2004: The Royals were fresh off an 83-79 season, which was their first winning season since 1994, and finally entered a season with high expectations. After notching 17 wins in 31 games, it was time to blow it up. It seemed like the Royals might become respectable again, but then a quick fire sale in a span of about a week, which included the trade of Beltran, sent the Royals back to the AL Central cellar. 2004 marked the first of three consecutive 100-loss seasons.

I thought having a cousin for a boyfriend/girlfriend was odd, but this has to top that thought.
Man who had sex with dog will go to jail, register as sex offender
BY HURST LAVIANA
The Wichita Eagle
A Wichita man who pleaded guilty this month to having sex with a dog was sentenced Wednesday to six months in jail -- the maximum under Kansas law -- and ordered to register as a sex offender.
District Judge Joseph Bribiesca also ordered Joshua Coman to meet with a psychiatrist during his stay in the Sedgwick County Jail.
In arguing for the maximum sentence, prosecutor Aaron Smith noted that Coman, 20, was on probation for a similar conviction in Reno County when he was arrested Feb. 19 in Wichita. He was charged in the Wichita case with having sex with a 4-year-old female rottweiler owned by an acquaintance.
Defense lawyer Eric Svoboda argued unsuccessfully that his client should be placed on probation so he could undergo counseling.
"I don't believe it will do the citizens of the state of Kansas any good to warehouse this man for six months," he said.
Svoboda also argued that the state's registered offender law was designed to protect humans, not "livestock, domestic pets or anything else, be they birds or insects. The statute was simply not created with that intent."
In imposing the maximum sentence, Bribiesca cited Coman's earlier conviction. He ruled that Coman should register as a sex offender after concluding beyond a reasonable doubt that "Mr. Coman's behavior with the canine was sexually motivated."

Where does your Personal Property Tax go? The Mo state lottery gives the education millions of dollors to the schools and we are giving more. That's right, the lottery gave 259 million dollors in 2007 to MO education. Why are you still getting taxed? Seniors citezens are getting taxed for schools, For what? This chaps my butt, because the state is always poor. This state is sooooo.... far behind modern time. They what a Light Rail?

Why does Fox 4 still show that it is the "Official weather forecast of the Kansas City Chiefs"? The season is over for those clowns last week, actually it was over six weeks ago. The Royals are next for the Official weather forecast, right?

I like to know if anyone was in an accident and the other driver having no insurance. I'm doing a survey with this on-going problem and trying to make a difference to reduce people being a victim and/or statistic.
Share your experience and the outcome of the incident.
Please no sarcism!

The Royals are on another mission to match last years record. Update W-8 L-18, and 61/2 games behind for the wild card spot HA HA. With this pace they should be able to shatter last years record. Why watch these clowns play. I see no one has too many comments about this team untill they get a FEW more wins.

To the weather dudes. Can you please explain why you are The Official Weather Forcast For The Kansas City Royals and Chiefs? Is Fox4 the only station to give out the forcast for these teams? Do they pay you for this kind of statement? You say that the Royals trust us, the fans trust us, and Kansas City trust us. The question I have is, do they? Do you know this or is B.S.? Don you rock!

Well Royal fans, it might be a good idea to pick another team to cheer for, because your boys are not doing so well AGAIN. On a good note there are two other teams that have a worst record and only 31/2 games behind for the wild card spot. Lets face the facts when you're talking about this team, they s$^&. Same you money and go some place else for entertainment. The sports writers are still coming up with more excuse for their losses and still afaid to tell it like it is!

Well, well, well, the truth comes out and the statisics backs up what I've been saying for a long time. To the KC people, you should be sooooo proud to make the top 10 list of worst drivers in the NATION. You're #6! Also, you may want to know that you have one of the city's worst roads, nice combo. Lets see what is wrong with this picture! KC is unfortunately placed right next to Kansas, who cross the bridge and drive like there is no tomorrow. The drivers can drive without a drivers license. The reason, I say this is that, I've read about it and seen it on the news. And the KC drivers enjoy driving fast, because they can and don't care about the other people on the road. If a law was inforced and stiffer fines were issued for the ignorant drivers, it would have an impact for safer roads and KC would not be in the top 10 list of stupidity. Also the fines should be doubled for the drivers who are at fault of an accident. A high percent of accidents on the roads are preventable, that's a fact. Digging deep into there pocket book, may get them to wake up. I'm so happy to say that I don't have to deal with with this on-going problem in KC.

I've read a few articles in the KC Star of people driving with their license either revoked or suspended and killing others, because they were driving again. I see a major problem in the court house regarding this issue. One article a few months ago, an individual had 30 something citations of driving while his driving priveledges were revoked or suspended. Just recently another person was charged in the death of an someone, because he was behind the wheel with his license suspended or revoked and his record included 18 times with driving without a license. Could someone please explain to me how these dirt bags are cabable of having the chance and opportunity to get behind the wheel and drive? I could be wrong, but I've heard that the courts are behind and only putting convicted felons behind bars first. Well, if that's the case fine, but when a judge has to see the same person mulitable times of driving without a license and giving him the opportunity to offend again bothers me. The state of Missouri has very lenient laws about who the bad guy is and I feel that they are laid back. This is a problem whether people agree with me or not. I can assure you other states will not tolerate this and have higher standards convicting people who are are caught with the same offense. I only wish I had the chance and given the authority to make the change, because I WILL fix this on-going problem. There should a 3 strikes law enforced. You get caught 3 times, pay the consequenses, no questions. This will free up all these cases for the public defenders and lighten up their load. I know they would agree with me. Really, what do you think about hearing about someone charged with killing someone when they were driving without a license and had a record of the same offense 10, 20, and 30 times? I know you and I can't fix this, it's in the hands of the justice system. There is absolutely no excuse for this to occur all the time.

It appears that everyone is getting there hopes about the Penguins coming here to KC to play at the Sprint Center. For the record, this would be the last place for a NHL team to consider playing if they want to pay the players. There would be very little revenue for a professional hockey team to play in this area. KC is all about the Chiefs and those lousy Royals. The areana would never fill unless they scheduled a rodeo after the game. This is cowboy country not hockey town. The sprint center would be best suited for cowboys not NHL players. I can not even see why they would consider this place, to call home.
