Tell me about it. I agree with you.....It's a bunch of B.S. they use any excuse to raise prices on the most important necessities. What are they trying to do, keep us minorities at home?

hmm, maybe you should of invested in a car that waste less gas. i think if most americans did that in the past, then gas prices wouldnt be so high right now. i don't understand why single people or couples have large suv's. i'm glad i waste 40 bucks a month on my motorcycle.

Samo,

I myself do not have an SUV, but for the people that do...perhaps have you heard of Supply and Demand? Regardless of our vehicles size we drive we MUST get gas, they have us by the the (fill in the blank) and there's nothing we can do about it, maybe instead of you spending 40.00 a month on your motorcycle, GET A BICYCLE...that would be even more practical.
Whether you have a very compact car your still going to be paying outrageous prices.

well 40 bucks a month, is way better then 35-40 bucks a week. there's lots of ways to get around the high price of gas. one is don't use cars that waste alot of gas. two, don't go out as much. another way to save gas is by going out and doing all of your things you have to do at one outing, rather then doing one thing at a time. try using public transportation, or just walk to places that close by. it all adds up. if everyone would do this, the demand for gas wouldnt be so high, and prices might go down a few cents. but let's face it, let's blame our grandparents, and our grandparent's parents for wasting up all the fossil fuels on their gas guzzling cars.

Samo,
I understand what you are trying to say, but public transportation for some people (like me) would take me hours to get to work. I wish that there was something that EVERYONE could do to stop the gas prices. It's just another way for the politicians to make a buck. I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel here, and I sure don't see the prices going down anytime soon.
The question is...why do other states have lowr gas prices??

One thing is for sure... Now that the gas companies know that we are willing to pay that much, it will never go down again. I can't believe at my age I can say" I remeber when gas was $1.25 a gallon"

Hey I remember when it was around 1.00 also! For sure though, as long as they know our hands are tied we will be paying more and more everyday....I bet by this summer it'll be 4.00 at least!! I told my husband that pretty soon we're going to need to start saving money for gas in an account so we can even go to work!
35 cents a gallon? WOW bet those were the days...it's amazing how much America could live off of then...perfect example of money hungry politicians that found a loop hole to take even more money from working americans, there is no reason, or excuse for all of this.

When I started driving gas was 19.9 and a loaf of bread was 20 cents now gas is 3.15 and a loaf of bread is also over $3.00. Try using your brains and get rid your oversized junker. It's not the gas prices. It's the huge gas guzzlers YOU choose to drive.
