Happy 4th of July everyone! Today we celebrate our independence. We have a lot to celebrate and I hope most of us will take a few minutes to count those blessings. Yes, there will those that will grumble about everything from the price of gas to whatever they let irk them today. Take a few minutes and think of all the freedoms we do enjoy and be thankful!
Happy 4th and keep safe but have some fun too!

Through years of liberal indoctrination in our public schools, it appears the goal of emasculating the present generation is complete. At the mere hint of an economic recession, our voting age young adults look about in hysterical fear for what their future will bring. Instead of applying basic survival instincts, they are paralyzed with foreboding financial "doom and gloom" reports from the liberal MSM.
Rather than analyizing the errors of their foolhardy spending in the past, they do exactly what they were taught to do: blame everybody else and then demand "somebody do something" (i.e., the government). While they were happily incurring credit debt they could never afford, liberal leaders were patiently waiting for this new amoebic generation. Well, it is here and it is now! The only thing left to clinch a liberal landslide election now is to offer that old favorite..."a pie in the sky." Obama is proving to be more than equal to the task.
A joyous Independence Day to all of those that can still recall its' meaning.

"Pregnant mother to be Jennifer Prokop, 34, was walking in the grass on the side of the highway when she was hit by a red Ford Explorer. The driver then pulled into a Kangaroo gas station and began to pump gas into the heavily damaged SUV."
And I have to ask, is this treating others as you wish to be treated yourself? What is wrong with people that this is the way they behave towards their fellow man or woman? This has to be by far the most horrendous example of behaving badly that has ever come across the news wires and it is INEXCUSABLE!!
How can anyone be so uncaring and unthoughtful and inconsiderate and hateful to do such a thing and simply carry on with life as though nothing out of the ordinary happened? Are we becoming so blind to others that we refuse to see or acknowledge that we have done wrong and hurt someone else by our actions? Are we so blind that we cannot see that there are others who cross our paths and, that sometimes in life, we are the ones who have to get out of the way?
We should be more focused and not in so much of a hurry to get where we are going that anyone who gets in our way doesn't go unseen and that we are not placing ourselves into a position where hurting someone else is of no consequence just as long as we are getting to where we are going as fast as we can.
The other guy shouldn't be an inconvenience to us nor should they be an obstacle that we think we have the right to mow them over when they get in our way.
THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WORLD THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIFE ITSELF AND EVERYONE SHOULD FOCUS ON PERSERVING IT, NOT DESTROYING IT FOR PETTY REASONS!!

Governor Charlie Crist gambled when he signed a 25-year compact with the Seminoles that guaranteed the state no less than 100-million dollars a year from the tribe's casino operations. Now, the Florida Supreme Court has ruled that Crist exceeded his authority by entering into the agreement. House Speaker Marco Rubio had filed suit arguing that any such "compact" required legislative approval.
So, what's next? No one really seems to know. The tribe has already installed Vegas style slot machines at its casinos in Hollywood and Tampa and recently added table games at the Hollywood location.
Is the legislature more concerned about the moral dilemma of promoting gambling or the size of the cut the state would receive? If it's on moral grounds, how do you explain the ever expanding state lottery that will now include Florida's participation in "powerball?"
Now that this can of worms has been opened up again, the ensuing battle should be very interesting to watch.

I wake up every morning wondering if anything has changed. When I say anything I mean Fuel costs, The war in Iraq, Illegal Immigration and of course dealings with Illegal Aliens and Amnesty. After I wake up and look at the news on the Internet I see nothing has changed. I do see that violent crimes are on the rise, especially against our children. I also see that both presidential candidates are willing to build up security on the Mexican border but they both want to give amnesty to the thousands of Illegals that are already here. I say NO WAY!!!! Send them home and send them home now. If they want to come back then do it the legal way. I do not want to sound like a racist but I am sick and tired of being asked to dial 1 if I want to continue my call in English. I am all for immigrating but I also demand that those immigrating read, write and speak in the native tongue of this country or deal with the language barrier. Employees of buisnesses and retailers around the country should not be forced to take spanish classes. It is just plain wrong. I also feel that those who immigrate legally be forced to leave and never come back if they get caught up in gang activities. There has to be a line in the sand. If that line is crossed we are not going to send you to our already way over populated prisons, we are going to send you back to Mexico, San Salvador, Honduras or wherever it is you came from. The USA is the land of oppurtunity, freedom and everything else that makes me proud to be an American. It is not the land of free crime, it is not the land to come here and terrorize its citizens. The USA welcomes all, just be as proud to be here as every other American that was born here.

MAY 2003
President Signs Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003
“The benefits of the Jobs and Growth Act will also go to investors. The top capital gains tax rate will be reduced by 25 percent, which will encourage more investment and risk-taking, and that will help in job creation.”
“…reducing the tax rate on dividends will also increase the wealth effect around America and will help our markets.”
“This law reflects a common sense economic principle: The best way to have more jobs is to help the people who create new jobs,..”
“When people have more money, they can spend it on goods and services. And in our society, when they demand an additional good or a service, somebody will produce the good or a service. And when somebody produces that good or a service, it means somebody is more likely to be able to find a job.”
“Increased hiring happens gradually, but we're on the path to greater job creation across this country.”
“The bill I'm going to sign provides opportunity for millions of Americans across this country. And the more opportunity there is, the more likely it is somebody is going to find work in this country.”
“Yet other steps are also needed. We must hold federal spending to a responsible level.”
“Our country must get a handle on rising health care costs.”
“We're aggressively implementing higher standards in our public schools so that every child -- every child -- learns to read and write and add and subtract.”
“We're building on the strengths of our economy so that everybody who wants to work can find a job in this great country.”
REALITY CHECK:
1) The stock market (DJIA) - the average yearly increase during the bush administration is less than 1% per year. Going back to Roosevelt, this is better than only Carter (-1%) & Nixon (-2%)
2)The unemployment rate was 3.9% in December 2000, the month before bush took office. It is now 5.5%.
3)Total employment has grown at a slower pace than under any President since Eisenhower, except for 1 - bush #1.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Employers cut payrolls by 62,000 in June, the sixth straight month of nationwide job losses, underscoring the economy's fragile state. The unemployment rate held steady at 5.5 percent.
The latest snapshot of business conditions, released by the Labor Department on Thursday, showed continued caution on the part of employers who are chafing under high energy prices and are uncertain about how long the economy will be stuck in a sluggish mode, reflecting fallout from housing, credit and financial troubles.
The jobless rate spiked to 5.5 percent in May. That marked the biggest over-the-month increase in two decades and left the rate at its highest since October 2004.
Job losses in both April and May turned out to be considerably deeper than had been thought. Payrolls dropped by 67,000 in April, versus the 28,000 previously reported. And, losses in May came to 62,000, rather than the 49,000 initially estimated.
So far this year, the economy has lost a total of 438,00 jobs, an average of 73,000 a month.
Private analysts predict the economy will continue to shed jobs in the months ahead, pushing the unemployment rate higher.
The number of unemployed people in June was 8.5 million, up from 7 million a year ago.
In a separate report from the department, the number of newly laid off people signing up for unemployment insurance rose sharply last week. New applications jumped by 16,000 to 404,000, the highest level since late March. The increase was bigger than economists were expecting; they were forecasting claims to rise to around 385,000.
Oil prices on Wednesday hit a new record above $144 a barrel, while gasoline prices reached a new nationwide high of $4.092 a gallon on average, according to AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express.
Economists expect the unemployment rate to hit 6 percent or higher early next year, even if the economy were to show better growth. Companies will be reluctant to ramp up hiring until they feel certain the economy will stay on firmer footing.

Can you hear the music playing? It's the same old song just to a different tune. "We are going to bring Power Ball to Florida to help with our education woos". Yeah right, tell me another one. Whenever the politicians want to raise the gas tax, they use the excuse that the extra money is going to fix roads. I have been paying this gas tax in Polk County for about 5 years now and still do not see any improvment on the roads. I remember when the lottery came to Florida. It used the education system as the selling point. It was great for the first couple of years. The state use to include money for education in its budget, and then the lottery money supplemented the education. Then, someone had a brilliant idea and stop funding the education out of the budget and completely on the money being taken in from the lottery. So, can you hear that same old song again? This time it is getting louder.

Hey ya'll!
Sorry about taking up some "News" space but I wanted to give you the update on the 'blog kid' lol.
Sophie will be 4 months old this month! Can you believe it?
She's rolling over, practicing sitting up and coos over EVERYTHING.
She is also practicing walking in her walker and scoots herself backward until she hits a wall. Then she screams lol.
She loves eating from a spoon. She loves bananas, pears and apples and especially loves mushing the baby food all over her face. I think that might be because she likes getting a bath afterwards! Sophie just LOVE LOVE LOVES the water!
She took her first plane ride last month to Conn. She did soo good and slept the whole way there and back. Security was so obnoxious. TPA made me take her out of the carseat (which was attached to the stroller) and walk the stoller with carseat attached through the metal detector with Sophie on my arm, barefeet and trying to keep track of my carryon and diaper bag.
That was bearable.
Bradley International made me take Sophie out of the car seat, detach the carseat from the stroller, fold them both up and send them through the x-ray machine...barefoot with the carryon and diaper bag...but then the carseat and stroller wouldn't fit through that x-ray machine so I had to go through a different line, while my shoes and other items were still at that line. Oh, what a mess. And NOT ONE airline associate came to help! A woman with an infant in her arms trying like hell to fold up a stroller, manage a carseat, 2 bags and some flip flops while holding up the ENTIRE line.
Thank God for TPA...their associates were helpful and it was MUCH easier.
Maybe FOX should do a report on that! lol What's a woman to do? At least they didn't confiscate my formula which was a qt of liquid, since it doesn't come in powered form!
Oh well, we got there and back and Sophie had her first swim in an alligator free lake! She LOVED it. I'll put more pics up soon!

I don't know which is more depressing, the liberal MSM reporting every inconvenience during a recession as another Armaggedon, or the hopeless, helpless commentary on some of these blogs. Okay, so you won't be able to spend a hundred dollars on fireworks this 4th of July; you can't take the SUV to your favorite vacation spot; you must plan for every dollar you spend; you are eating out less; no more expensive gifts on special ocassions; you are walking more and driving less; on and on.
After a nice family dinner (the kids too, no exceptions) sit down around the coffee table (T.V. off) and discuss what each person can do to stretch the monthly budget and "make ends meet." Appeal to unselfish suggestions from one and all. You will be amazed at how much money you can save and didn't know it. Also, you will notice that you have a family and not just a boarding house. Try it...you'll like it.

I walked into the break room today at work and a co-worker was looking so down and on the verge of tears. I asked her what was wrong and she said she was worried and scared. I asked her what she was afraid of and she said, "I heard that gas was going to be $7 a gal by the end of the year. I will not be able to afford to drive to work. My husband and I won't be able to make it on his salary." They are a young frugal couple with a 3 year old boy. I had to tell her we are all afraid and some more than others.
My heart goes out to the Americans that are really starting to get scared and are really starting to feel the pain of the fuel prices and high taxes. I could only give her a hug and tell her that whatever comes her way will be coming my way and to millions of others in America. We will stand up together and survive.
Then I went home so blue. I had to really think about why she was hurting and how scared she was. This is America. We have made it through hard times. I just had to go to a website and remind myself of 9/11. I had to remember again how scared I was on that day. How much in shock I was for days to come. How hopeless everything seemed for about 2 weeks or so. After watching that video over I got mad. The assault on us didn't end on 9/11 we are still being assaulted and now it is our economy by oil. Our enemies from within and on the outside know our weaknesses and we have forgotten our own strengths.
We can band together and take our country back. Obama isn't our hope, McCain isn't the answer. It is us. You and Me. We are the ONLY ones that can do it.
Perhaps you need to revisit the helplessness and heartbreak of 9/11 to motivate you...I know I did.

Barclays warns of disaster as Fed loses all credibility

Barclays Capital has advised clients to batten down the hatches for a worldwide financial storm, warning that the US Federal Reserve has allowed the inflation genie out of the bottle and let its credibility fall "below zero."
"We're in a nasty environment," said Tim Bond, the bank's chief equity strategist. "There is an inflation shock under way. This is going to be very negative for financial assets. We are going into tortoise mood and are retreating into our shell. Investors will do well if they can preserve their wealth."
Barclays Capital said in its closely-watched Global Outlook that US headline inflation would hit 5.5pc by August and the Fed will have to raise interest rates six times by the end of next year to prevent a wage-spiral. If it hesitates, the bond markets will take matters into their own hands. "This is the first test for central banks in 30 years and they have fluffed it. They have zero credibility, and the Fed is negative if that's possible. It has lost all credibility," said Mr Bond.

An armed society is a safe society. Are you paying attention Barack? We need our guns.
That's one part of our society which DOES NOT NEED CHANGE. There's plenty of other stuff to keep you busy.

The executioner will be summoned to duty tomorrow and he will be paid $150.00. We owe him a great debt to take on this task, although many citizens would do it for free.
The little boy was only 11 years old when he was brutally murdered. Junny would have been 27 years old if he were alive today. Who knows what he would be doing? He loved baseball. Perhaps he would be slugging away with the Rays. Perhaps he would be on to a fantastic career or even the father of a little boy himself. We can only imagine.
But we don't have to imagine where his killer has been. He has sat on death row for 16 years. Tomorrow he will die. The punishment does fit the crime and in Florida the punishment is death by electric chair or lethal injection. Our law will be carried out. It should not get hyped media attention. Honor the victim, if anything, not the murderer.
Floridians here is a wake up call for all of you. According to the statistics at the DOC:

The governor needs to start signing death warrants now. 388 inmates are responsible for taking the lives of at least 388 innocent victims and in some cases they were convicted of mulitple murders. That is far too many victims to let time forget!

ATTN: People of Sodom,
I know why you are here.
It's the same reason I am here.
It is the same reason we all are here.
We have all been born into the last day's of "The Age of Man" , for one last chance to get it right. For those of you who have not figured out why God destroyed your city, allow me to enlighten you, God has you listed as non-esential personel. Why? Because nothing is more useless to God than a Man that plants his seed in another Man.
Now I agree that you should be proud that God has given you a last chance, however I think that flaunting your shame in the streets of St. Pete, is like smacking the face of your maker, and greatly reduces the odds of your making it through the "Galactic Plane" to the Kingdom that lays beyond.
If I were you, I would spend all remaining time seeking forgivness, and changing my ways. But then again, thank God, I would never be you.
