I am watching fox news this am and Rodney Johnson is being interviewed.  He is saying things like Target and other stores are not issuing credit cards any more.  I just wanted to say that his information, in my opinion is only half correct.  I am self emplyed and have been for the past 14 years.  I have been in new construction for that entire period.  Since the turning of the market I have had to re-evaluate and adjust what I do.  I have been fortunate enough to make changes at critical times.  I just wanted to tell people that our markets are based on how Americans act.  We have people in the news and in all areas of government that want to control our lives and tell us that times are horrible.  I am not saying that inflation is not at an all time high, but things that are inflating at the astronmical rates now are things other than our real estate market.  I think it was only natural for the housing to slow down because at the rate it was going it had no place to go but down.  If we,  all Americans, go out and continue to spend (with in our means) the media, the government and the like can't  tell us that the econonmy is not healthy.  Places like Target and Best Buy ARE still giving credit.  However they are giving it to people with good credit scores. 

I say let's prove everyone wrong.  If we buy cars, houses, electronics, housewares, etc everyone will benefit.  The economy is based on us.  Let's make it work.

           For many months a drag out battle between Clinton and Obama rang out through our countrys' population.  News paper clippings, television ads and the majority of it all.... PROPAGANDA.  Very few simular points of view between the two canidates and continuous bashings infront of the media and public.  If you have read my blog about OBAMA and the three really good reasons that you need to hear about him, then you would know that I am not and will not ever support Obama.

            With the lack of self-dignity, Clinton has seemingly made a decision to be a running partner with Obama after she herself had lost her campaign battle.  She now asks that her supporters pick up and follow Obama.  Now, why is she so up for his plans and ideas, when she was bashing them the previous day?  This is most dissapointing to me due to the fact that it proves once again that morale truely is dead and only a ghostly shell now remains for our leaders to hide behind.

            We vote now-a-days the best canidate in to office however we will never get the right guy for the job.  I know that many times our minds will change on our canidate of choice and there will never be another John F. Kennedy.  However, we must all strive to make a difference so that our world will be a better place, if not for us, then for children.  And as always, " IF YOU DON'T VOTE, THEN YOU AIN'T GOT CRAP TO COMPLAIN ABOUT."

Ever notice how John Wilson has that same twinkle in his eye when he speaks about Barack Obama that he did when he speaks about the Clintons?

And do you notice how Russel Roads seems to have a bigger smile when telling wonderful stories about Obama and not so much when (and if he ever does) he mentions the war veteran Senator John Macain ?

The bias is sickening, today imediatly following the story of the Supreme Court ruling that YES Free People are allowed under the 2nd Admendment to bare arms, Fox news follows with the story of the 14 yr old who took a gun to school and then accidently causes his 13 yr old friend to be wounded?

The placement of the story is no accident. They do it all the time. Drill for oil off the coast? They talk to a tourist on the beach about ruined vacations. Where is the story of the receptionist who lives in Holiday and drives to Tampa  five days a week who must choose between paying for the gasoline or the car insurance?This lady I met while waiting to interview for a job ( I was laid off due to the construction slump) told me why we do need to get off the world oil teat. No story about the lack of job developement in Pasco County and how the residence there must now drive to Tampa or St. Pete to find work.

If you have a complait about the Bias or one sided coverage of the issues then post a reply or start a blog yourself. Maybe someone will read it who cares.

Since Governor Romney officially suspended his campaign in February, his supporters have been hoping for an opportunity to use the "Romney for President" signs sometime in the future.  Well, they just might see his name on the ballot this November, as McCain's running mate.  However, if asked, should Romney really jump on the ticket? As a former "Romney for President" supporter, I initially embraced the idea.  After all, it would keep him politically relevant.  It would also help McCain strategically.  McCain has admitted the economy is his weak spot and having Romney as Vice-President would definitely sure up the weakness.  A McCain-Romney ticket would possibly put states like Michigan, Ohio, and Massachusetts into play for McCain.  Yet, despite the possible benefit to McCain, what would the benefit be to Romney?  If McCain were to get elected, Romney would have to wait eight years for a potential shot at the Whitehouse.  If McCain loses in a landslide (a recent Newsweek poll had Obama up 17 points), then Romney will be forever linked to the embarrassment.  Not to mention, McCain is on record saying that the Vice-President's only job is to check on the health of the President.  As much as I wanted to see Romney get into the Whitehouse, I don't want to see him get in this way.  McCain is the self-proclaimed "maverick" who prides himself in going against the grain (and the Conservative base.) If asked, Romney should let McCain ruin, err, run the 2008 race without him.  As a supporter, I'll gladly wait an additional four years to see Romney in the Whitehouse.    

By a 5 to 4 vote, the United States Supreme Court has essentially ruled that it's okay to buy an election. Justices struck down the so-called "millionaire's amendment." It's objective was to level the playing field when a particularly wealthy person runs for political office.

So, if a multi-millionaire wants to spend part of his or or her fortune to get elected, that's fine. At the same time though, his or her less affluent opponent was allowed to exceed fundraising limits in an effort to make the race more competitive. The Court now says that's a violation of the First Amendment.

To me, the most egregious case of incredible wealth influencing an election was current New Jersey Governor John Corzine's run for the U.S. Senate in 2000. He spent 62-million of his own dollars to win that race. How can you compete with that? Well, you really can't and it's no wonder that so many people are disenchanted with the American political process.

IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE ELDERLY ON SOC. SECURITY WILL ENDURE MANY HARDSHIPS AHEAD. WITH THE PRICE OF FUEL RISING MORE AND MORE WHICH CAUSES INCREASING FOOD COST. THE ELDERLY POOR WILL SUFFER MORE THAN ANYONE CAN IMAGINE. IN A RECIENT CONTACT WITH OUR GOVERNMENT LEADERS I ASKED THEM WITH SOC.SECURITY FUNDS SOON TO RUN OUT.DOES OUR GOVERNMENT LEADERS HAVE ANY PLANS ON INCREASING OUR COST OF LIVING. AND IF THEY DO WILL IT FOLLOW ALONG THE SAME LINES AS IN THE PAST. THEY GIVE IT TO US LIKE 2 MAYBE 4 %. AND THEN TAKE IT AWAY WITH AN INCREASE TO OUR MEDICARE PROGRAM BY AT LEAST 10%. I WONDER IF ANY OF OUR LEADERS KNOW HOW TO ESTABLISH AN EVEN BALANCE OR DIDN'T THEY EVER LEARN HOW TO READ A SET OF SCALES.BACK IN THE 20S &30S THERE WAS A HIGH RATE OF CRIME..DO TO PEOPLE LIKE BABY FACE NELSON, JOHN DILLINGER AND THE LIKES.NOT TO MENTION THE AVERAGE CITIZEN THAT DID THEIR SHARE OF PETTY THEFTS. BEWARE IT IS MY FEELING THAT WE ALREADY SEEI8NG A CRIME WAVE THAT MAY EQUAL OR EVEN SURPASS THE RAMPAGES OF THE 20S AND 30S.

To give you an idea how fast dogs and cats multiply, one single female dog without a spay will produce 67,000 puppies born in just six years. One single female unspayed cat will produce 420,000 kittens in just seven years. Over 95% of them will die brutally–dog pounds that gas them, stab them in the heart with needles; die of neglect, abuse, torture, run over by cars, disease, trapped for snake food, sold to laboratories, etc. And it will cost the state (Counties collectively, which will affect State spending) MILLIONS a year to slaughter them in dog pounds every year.

A ROUGHLY EQUAL NUMBER BECOME ROAD KILL-RUN BY CARS OVER LOOKING FOR FOOD, A HOME, OR DELIRIOUS FROM ILLNESS-MANY TIMES TAKING *HOURS* TO DIE! This is NOT road kill.

It was a very sweet dog OR cat that died from human irresponsibility.

80% of dogs AND cats get hit by cars are not neutered–LOOKING FOR A MATE; or due to homelessness (puppies/kittens born to homeless animals).

(1) MANDATORY SPAY/NEUTER LAWS will combat dog fighting epidemic-dog fighters BREED their own dogs prolifically for fighting purposes; dog fighting PATRONIZES street gangs, illegal weapons and narcotic exchanges.

(2) MANDATORY SPAY/NEUTER LAWS will save counties money which will make funds more available for law enforcement and public safety (dog pounds are horribly expensive).

Current law enforcement cuts makes society less safe, which encourages crime and it will become a State expense–trials are expensive, and so are jails and prisons.

(3) The people who oppose mandatory spay/neuter laws are backyard puppy mill breeders, and irresponsible individuals; AS WELL AS PEOPLE WHO BREED DOGS AND CATS TO FEED TO THEIR PET SNAKE behind closed doors! meanwhile countless THOUSANDS of dogs and cats go hungry, die of internal and external parasites, dehydration, run over cars, and DELIBERATE human cruelty. Once the dog or cat goes into heat, many people toss them out on the road and get another kitten or puppy.

NO EXAGGERATION-it is 100% true!! You would be surprised how many heartless people are out there.

(4) MANDATORY SPAYING/NEUTERING cures dog bite problems! NATIONAL DOG BITE PROBLEM-per the CDC almost all dogs that bite people are UNALTERED (NOT spay/neutered), so this will take care of another problem (per CDC 4.5 to 5 million in USA people get bitten by dogs a year; around 800,000 of those go to emergency rooms-2/3rds of all dog bite victims are children under 11. Roughly 25 people a year die from being mauled by a dog).

This has to be the most elitist snob we have ever had run for president. Look at the seal this guy is using now. He is so full of himself.  Does it look familiar? Almost an identical knock off of the Presidential Seal. 

I am over this wannabe. Give me a down-to-earth conservative black candidate, like Herman Cain, Michael Steele, Walter Willams and I would vote for them in a heartbeat.

A lot of the news lately seems to be circling around the idea of offshore oil drilling.  I know that gas prices are out of control and I know that it is impacting us all.  Many people that depend on the availability of reasonably priced fuel are now out of work and others who would vacation in our state simply can't afford the associated fuel costs.  But do we really want to risk damaging our coastline and the surrounding marine life to potentially lower our fuel costs?

Unfortunately, our dependancy on oil is a problem that was created generations earlier but that we have inherited.  And although we did not create the problem, we do perpetuate it and eventually we will have to solve it.  I do not believe that the potential destruction of Florida's most precious resources is the solution to resolving our high fuel costs, nor is it the solution to eliminating our dependancy on oil.

Do we really want to leave behind a bigger problem then we inherited?  Florida is the number one destination in the world for SCUBA divers, sky divers and beach goers.  I enjoy the luxuries of my state on a daily basis.  This weekend I am going SCUBA diving and if past experience is any indication, I will probably have over 80ft visibility.  How can you even think about trading that for some savings at the pump?

Today I am writing about a pet peeve of mine, SPEEDING COPS!!

Now please..I know they all work hard, put their lives out there and typically do a great job, but they need to SLOW DOWN.  There are multiple reasons to do this starting with:
1. Safety
2. Safety
3. SAFETY
4. Fuel Costs
5. Obeyance of the laws they enforce every day
6. Public perception
7. Maintenance costs of the cars, trucks and SUV's they drive 

Safety first and foremost not just for them but for the rest of us riding with them. We have no idea where they are going when they come flying up the road behind us without emergency lights on, and typically the sight of a cruiser makes people do stupid stuff like slam on brakes, change lanes suddenly..etc.. If they are not cutting through the lanes like Jeff Gordon all the time some of this might be avoided. Fuel costs have to be affecting the budget of every police and sheriff's office out there. I saw an article about Holly Hill in Ga., where they are adding a surcharge to speeding tickets to pay for police fuel usage to chase them down. While there is nothing wrong with that per say, I was thinking maybe if they just slow down they could save some money without getting draconian.
Now besides safety and fuel costs is the simple fact that speeding is illegal for police too. Maybe we all would be more inclined to obey the traffic laws if the enforcers of said laws obeyed them as well.
How many times have you been passed by a speeding law enforcement vehicle without emergency lights on? Or have seen police tailgating? Too many to count that's for sure! Unfortunately we tend to give cops a pass in regards to all of this and it takes a serious incident to bring attention to it. Maintenance and wear and tear are just common sense, and we all know that excessive speed just shortens the life of these vehicles that much quicker.

Common sense..I guess that's my main gripe in it all...you'd think it would be common sense for them to slow down. If for no other reason but to save money. Because you know what's coming next...tax increases to pay for fuel costs for these departments.
I'm sure we are already going to get popped for the non-police county and city vehicles running around.

Well that's all I have on this subject for now. Now lets hear what you have to say. I can't wait for the police to justify why they need and should be allowed to speed without discretion..should be interesting.

We are in Iraq one of the riches oil countries in the world. We are spending billons of dollars to be there. why cant we tap into there oil to help us offset the cost of the so called war. We help other countries when we cant even help our own. why is it that the oil companies make such big profits if they made less profit the price of gas might go down     My point lets just get oil from Iraq to pay for the war and that might make the oil comp here trim some of there profits

1.every single politician in washington d.c is FIRED! go home! there is no severance pay coming..turn in your rentals,your government homes and all the other perks i have been paying for over the years.get a REAL JOB! 6.american companies who want to "outsource" to other countries to save the precious dollar for yourselves..go right ahead..a free country..but dont try bringing it back in to America without paying a large import tax.you take the jobs from americans and still want to sell it to us..you will be the ones paying now!

7.anyone in this country illegally you are outta here! period! you enter our country correctly or you are gone!

8.AMERICA WILL STAND ON ITS OWN 2 FEET! we will not be asking anyone for anything!

9.DRILL OUR OWN OIL!!!

10.every single american soldier will come home NOW! there will be no more bases anywhere but here in America! i could care less abt any other country and what they are doing over there. why are we stationed all over this world?in other countries?! i dont see anyone stationed here!!!why are our soldiers feeding their economy and not ours?

13.the interest rates must be raised to support our dollar.as hard as that is it must happen.

14.get energy plants up and going.

15.back off abt gun control! an american right.

16.no need for congress or senate in washington..they dont do squat anyways!

all the years of stealing and abuse has got to come to an end.it begins in washington and it must end in washington.
