Why the republicans in the state house are making a big stink over this is a mystery to me.

-They complain that we're spending too much money...this gambling thing would funnel millions to the state and would fund important

-Most of the people around here who gamble are [no offense] old ladies. The idea of Florida turning into Las Vegas is LUDICROUS.

-A true conservative would allow for personal responsibility on this issue. Unfortunately FL is overrun with neo-cons like Marco Rubio and one of my least favorite people on this planet, Ronda Storms.

Why are we changing our state song? I can understand that race plays a factor, but it's not like the song uses the "N-word" or anything. I think this is political correctness gone way too far. And I am not a racist by any means...but when will leaders in the black community start worrying about things that actually plague their community, which is gang violence and poverty? I think those things are much much more important than supposed racism in a state song. Most people probably don't know what the goddang song is anyway!

"Old Folks at Home" will always be the state song to me.

Can we get an update on him? I remember when FOX13 broke the story a couple of months ago and I was disgusted how this man was treated. I was so glad to see that the family of the people who were unfortunately killed in this ACCIDENT support Mr. Meus, who is a hardworking citizen of this nation.

 Hopefully Doug Smith can give us an update on how his pardon request at the FL Clemency board is going and if Gov. Crist will do the right thing and clear this man of wrongdoing.

I'm glad I don't live in Hillsborough County, I have no idea how I would put up with this crazy woman. She comes up with wild ideas and is a bigoted loudmouth. SOMEONE SHUT HER UP!

I read on the St. Pete Times' wesbite that Nerissa Prest, formerly of channel 8, is going to anchor Good Day Tampa Bay....thoughts?
