So... how to you feel about this hurricane season? As storms spring up, I will be posting my feelings. I welcome other opinions. I have a great track record of predictions. I use many sites, Channel 13 for one. I will never forget when Katrina had her eye on New Orleans. Channel 13 had reported that the eye was just making land fall. Channel 8 and Bay News9 was reporting that it was still miles away from landfall!

That's it for tonight. I'll be back when we have some weather news.

I usually just use the NOAA web site. The satellite images are great. Where can I get the bouy readings?

It's pretty bad when you show up for work and the first thing out of everyone's mouth is... "Is the storm coming here?"

The Monday after Alberto formed, eveyone came by my desk... not a single one said, "Good morning. How was your weekend?"... it was "Is the storm going to get worse?", "Is it going to hit us?", etc.

Well, gang. Chris is brewing out there. What do you all think? I got into work this morning and was hit with that question. Personally I go with it moving further south and dissipating. But it is still too early to predict for sure.

I am an Environmental Specialist with Hills. Cty. Basically, I am a "dumpster diver". I also do a lot of educational graphics design about the proper disposal of household chemical & electronics, litter, etc. My hobbies are very diverse... golf and reading, with sci-fi, forensic mysteries, and history being my favorites. My other passion is photography, mostly nature. Ever since experiencing my first hurricane in Florida, Cleo in 1964 when I was 15, when the eye went over my house, I have been fascinated with weather. I have a 99% accuracy... including predicting Charley's turn away from Tampa the night before he hit down south.
