With baseball's trade deadline less than 48 hours away, the Royals' Jose Guillen is making it known, he wants out of Kansas City.

The Royals are in Oakland for a three game set against the A's, and Guillen doesn't want to come back.

In a report on ESPN Deportes, Guillen is quoted as saying he is "living in hell in Kansas City."

An anonymous source says Guillen and manager Trey Hillman aren't talking to each other, and Guillen will do anything he can to ease his way out of Kansas City including eating some of his $12 million per year contract.

The source says Guillen feels like the Royals haven't kept their promise to build a winning team.

Guillen hasn't been completely healthy all year, yet he leads the club in home runs and RBI's.

It was just anounced  that Will Shields is retiring, and I just wanted to say thank you not only for what you did on the field but for your more important accomplishments off the field.I also wish you  success in your future endeavors.

Just saw on the news that the Chiefs may not get a primetime game this year ,the one that is scheduled is part of the flex schedule and might get bumped. After the year we had last year plus having one of the best running backs in football and being one of the more popular teams in football really don't mean a whole lot I guess huh?

I noticed something a little odd this week, first of all I don't have all the facts being that the story is  just unfolding about how our tax dollars intended for stadium improvements may be being spent on expensive lunches on the Plaza. Just a few days after the Star ran a story on Dan Glass and how he eats at Subway quite often. Most of you probably think I'm paranoid ,or crazy ,or have to much time on my hands or, all the above, but what I find really odd is the timing of the stories,Could the Royals have found out the Chiefs are doing something they shouldn't be and told on them then tried to strike first with a feelgood story about their ownership ,or did they get caught with their own hand in the cookie jar.All I know is something smells a little fish sandwichy to me,and if they are buying peoples lunch, take them to Hardee's ,McDonalds or even Subway it's cheaper than most anything on the Plaza.

I just read in the Star that Jared Allen wants to be traded since he can't get a contract worked out .He is a good player with lots of potential on the field but with the DUI's he has proved he still is a risk off the field and is facing a possible suspension at the start of next season. I think the Chiefs should give him a decent not large 1 or 2 year contract load it with performance incentives and personal conduct clauses, then see what happens.

I have been a Royals fan ever since I was little and that was a very long time ago,I just wanted to say that I think they have a shot at 500. or 3rd or maybe even 2nd in our division that's IF and a BIG IF they can get their pitching especially the bullpen (mainly the closer )straightened out, plus a good start wouldn't hurt.Any other opinions out there?GO ROYALS!!!

I just heard the Chiefs are thinking about selling the naming rights to the stadium, and I hate it.I  hope that after the passing of Lamar Hunt the Chiefs and their front office would continue to be an organization that shows the leadership and class that Lamar had,he didn't always do what was popular among the other owners, but he always did what was best for the team and the league, and that did not include selling out .I also think it would be an insult to us fans and this city, county, and state. To me it would be stating that we can be bought off like other cities,we need to take a stand and say NO!!!! We've already lost two of the greatest owners and people in proffessional sports, and one of the greatest ambassadors a city could have in Buck O'neil,we don't need to start losing  our cities identity by selling it off piece by piece,I mean like what's next, THE GATEWAY NEGRO LEAGUES MUSEUM ,THE NIKE LIBERTY MEMORIAL ?

First of all congratulations to Chicago and Indianapolis and their teams for reaching the Super Bowl. One of the things that drives me up the wall about the Super Bowl is how it has became more about the halftime show and the commercials than about the game itself. The Super Bowl is America's #1 official unofficial holiday and yet we continue to commercialize it in the name of the all mighty dollar just like we have our most sacred of holidays Christmas, which has gone from Christmas to Xmas to $mas and it needs to stop,we've already forgotten Thanksgiving (walk into any store a day after Halloween and Christmas ads and decorations are already up) which holiday is next? What do you say we do what we're supposed to today get together with friends, family, and good food and enjoy the game.GO BEARS,P.s. Thank You Lamar.

Over the hill and going up the next one,and after reading many of the politically motivated blogs here I just want to say,an airplane can't fly with just one wing whether it be right wing or a left wing it will just fly in circles like a dog chasing its tail.
