How dare George Bush continually lie to the citizens of the United States about how "we" got into the mess that "we" are in and oops, we must bail (pay additional taxes) out the white collar criminals. While he continually spend our tax dollars, at least $60,000,000,000, that's BILLIONS monthly (or is that daily) in IRAQ, he lied to the public, to the world how great we were financially doing. (What a LIAR!) Many of us knew better. Now, he is again using scare tactics, which now they are legitimate concerns right up in our faces, and there is no way for Bush or his crew to lie them away.
Talk about Kwame going to jail? Yes, he definitely deserves to go to jail. But Bush? He deserves to be charged with Treason, War Crimes, Larceny, and Extortion for harming and devastating the residents of our United States of America.
(And what were those recent simulus checks all about? How many of us were just so happy to get some extra dollars as opposed to looking deeper into the reason the snake was appearing to be so kind?)
The Magnitude and Meaning of the Proposed Bailout:
What $700 Billion for Wall Street means on Main Street
NPP Provides Analysis of $700 Billion for Taxpayers
The plan proposed by President Bush and Secretary Paulson for a $700 billion bailout of Wall Street is difficult for most people to comprehend. At NPP, we've been crunching the numbers and offer this analysis of what $700 billion means to taxpayers.
A healthy and productive economy requires substantial investment in affordable housing, health care, education and renewable energy. Taxpayers in the United States will be required to pay $700 billion for the Wall Street bailout. They should also know that for the same amount of money, they could secure the following:
51.6 million people with health care for four years OR
181.2 million homes with renewable electricity for four years OR
2.9 million elementary school teachers for four years OR
27 million four-year scholarships for university students
$700 billion is more than what is currently allocated for the U.S. war in Iraq. This amount would allow us to repair all of our nations 77,000 deteriorated bridges and still have $519 billion to spend; or it would allow us to rebuild all of our nations 33,000 deteriorating schools and still have $664 billion to spend. I love God so much. Additionally, I love my family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. You know what I try not to do? I consciously make efforts in not taking any of these people for granted. Life is so short. If I could change the world, I would end ignorance. If I could change the world, I would end hunger. If I could change the world, I would end poverty. In my new world, people would take responsibilty. People would not be mean. In my world, there would be equality, justice, love, and righteousness. Life is short. I'll work on me and try my very best to be a beacon of light. Will I be perfect? Nope, I'm just a work in progress with strong opinions.
