Here is the scoop about felons and whether they can vote.

Felons can vote, as long as they are not in jail or prison.  Further, people who are in jail PENDING criminal charges, misdemeanor or felony cases, but NOT convicted while still in jail, CAN VOTE.

Color me crazy but I thought this was one of the rights they lost when they became convicted felons.

Many people have this misconception.

Cynthia, if you were to get off the internet, get drunk again, finally take a shower and put on some floozy makeup, slapped some cheap aZZ clothing on, crammed your hooves into a pair of 6" stileto's, and then were picked up for selling yourself on a street corner the week before the election, was thrown into jail overnight, and then released on bond the next morning to appear before a judge, wouldn't you be considered eligible to vote?

Sure you would.

Because you haven't been "CONVICTED" yet of a crime.

So the people that are in jail pending criminal charges, misdemeanor or felony cases, wouldn't they have the same rights as what you do?

So tell us the exact law that states FELONS can vote?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Now we've got to drink to erase the thought of you out on a corner.

LOLOL

In the example you described of you and your invisible companion, as long as ya'll are registered to vote and ya'll are not bonafide felons in jail or in prison, yes your votes are supposed to be counted in Michigan.

I've not been able to find any current laws that says law abiding citizens, including felons, can't vote.

Go to the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

I love God so much. Additionally, I love my family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. You know what I try not to do? I consciously make efforts in not taking any of these people for granted. Life is so short. If I could change the world, I would end ignorance. If I could change the world, I would end hunger. If I could change the world, I would end poverty. In my new world, people would take responsibilty. People would not be mean. In my world, there would be equality, justice, love, and righteousness. Life is short. I'll work on me and try my very best to be a beacon of light. Will I be perfect? Nope, I'm just a work in progress with strong opinions.
