as time goes by and things continue to change,some not for the good i wonder,how could this great and beautiful country be in such bad shape.i am a "baby boomer".i have watched,lived through the vietnam era all along to here where we are today.this country is supposed to be "for the people,by the people" how long ago was that crushed,not lost but crushed! and sadly to say we "the people" have allowed this to happen ! we have no one else to blame other than ourselves,the people the voters.so stop blaming the government when we the people voted these fools in,not once but repeatedly! now we the people need to do something and do it now!

 i agree with the truckers 100%! i can only imagine how badly they are hurting and all the while mobil/exxon c.e.o. is raking in BILLIONS of dollars in sheer PROFIT! yet we go and pump their gas! we go to other stations that the gas is from the middle east,our enemies..the same people who murdered americans on 9/11! why? why do we the people support the crap we dont like and then complain abt it?because it is easier for us? yes! thats the truth.easier to pump at the closets station than to drive a little bit more to buy gas from a non enemy.i for one will NOT purchase any gasoline at any station that brings it in from the middle east along with citgo ! i will walk before i buy there.sometime people we have to take a hard stand,a not comfortable stand.but a stand for us,for America.how can we,an intelligent people,a beautiful country,a giving people sit here and moan and complain,blame everyone in government and yet not do one thing ourselves to change it?

now we have election year..God help us! ask yourselves this question when you are going to vote..who do "they" want in as president? thats who you dont vote for!

we are hearing all the talk abt the iraq war.all the americans lost in battle,and why?

do i support the war?i support being on the defensive.i always have and more so since 9/11.

do i want to hand hold,babysit another country? NO! do it yourselves.get up and stand on your own 2 feet! why is America always the one cleaning up,defending,helping,bailing out every tom dick and harry in this world?! do we ever get help? NEVER! are we ridiculed,hated? YES! so why are we anywhere in this world rather than on our own soil? defend us right here in America! put up bases all along the coast of America,not in other countries.i could care less wht they do over there. come near us and we will kill you.simple.cant life be just that simple? you handle your country and people and we will handle ours. i dont understand what is so hard abt that. BRING ALL OUR SERVICE PEOPLE HOME! where they belong,in America.

get rid of the u.n. a total waste of time,land,and money! nothing but a farce.

if you are not a legal immigrant GET OUT AND STAY OUT till you are.

no more "political correctness" just say it ! stop dancing around hand holding!

imports..can you find anything in America made in America? hardly ! after all the crap china sent us lately,that we have "caught"  why are we still accepting their crap here in America? because some corporate slob wants the bilions in profit! no other reason.money! put Americans to work.let them make all that we need.there would be no more unemployment,welfare,fod stamps etc. dont give me the line "Americans wont do the job" thats why they hire the illegals or out source..thats a pile of poop! we will do the job! pay us and watch! stop looking for all you profits! how much profit do you need to be happy? and off the people of this great country! they all ought to be totally ashamed of what they allow and condone!

i love this country! i am one PROUD AMERICAN but i am also one pissed off American! i am sick to death of seeing,hearing and living the crap! we are giving away our country! stop this now,we have the power.

WE THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE!

BELEIVE IT.LIVE IT. ITS WHAT OUR FOUNDING FATHERS DID.

i am beyond pissed ! i want them all out ! starting with all the officials getting paid by our money! every one of them gets a pink slip and no severance pkg . either!
we the people need to do something. we have no choices left! for hard working americans to not be able to make it any longer due to all the piss poor money hungry people in power is sickening. look at the truckers,your neighbors,your friends and family..and maybe even you and i. its not right.

Face the first fact the Government got us in this mess and they sure as hell will not get us out.Welcome to the Peoples Republic Of North America. Americans are to lazy and stupid to vote the incumbants out, they will vote for the one who will give them the most free stuff.
I know this country is lost when i walked into the Westchase McDonalds and every employee execpt the manager was a Mexican. to make matters worse they where all talking in spanish. I wonder if I go back and yell ICE if they would all run for the door.

I work in the fishing industry, and the imports are taking over- Why? it is cheaper. Very few people care if the grouper on their plate was caught in the Gulf of Mexico or imported from China. Local grouper is about $9 a pound, imports $4.00. I say we need a very large import tax added to everything that we bring in, that would cut in to the profit, therefore making going to other countries less profittable.

I mean, here is a reality check, I live in Florida, so why does some of my orange juice come in from Brazil???? I can only find 2 companies that use only 100% Florida OJ. My limes are a product of Mexico?? WHY?????? Where did the limes in Florida go???????

I support local fisheries, local farmers, and will pay more for products that are made in the US, but sadly that isn''t easy. As a mother of 3 small children, It is very hard to find toys and clothing that are made in the US. Believe me though, when I do find them, I am a loyal consumer!!!!!!

Oh yeah, and I vote. I have every year since I turned 18. I research, pick apart and find who is funding and then make the best decision I can. Sadly though, most of the folks I vote for never make it to office.

i agree..every single item coming into america ought to have a hefty import tax! i am one who is sick of these other countries and american business getting rich off of us !yoy want to outsource,take away from the american people,then you pay a huge dollar amnt to do so! i also look,search and hunt for anything i can buy thats made by us!
how stupid, oranje juice NOT from florida! how much did that save someone in wages?!
i also vote,i also take apart every little thing,examine each person. i do have one idea..since the whole political system is in the toilet why not just deep six it>! anyone who is in office now..HAS TO GO !! DO NOT RE ELECT ANYONE INTO OFFICE.lets show these fools we mean business.every election if things have not gone well for our state,our country,our local towns/cities...vote every one of them out !!! now come on..everyone can do that cant they? not a hard task to do!

I hate to say it, or maybe not- but I do tend to vote people out of office if they have been in there awhile. Don't get me wrong, I would and have re-elected officials that are doig their job- BUT...

I think our Presidential system needs some major work. My son's odds (or daughter's) of ever becoming president are right up there with me winning the Lotto. I am poor, how many modern day Presidents can say that about themselves? Bush? Clinton? Bush? Reagan? Ford? Carter? Kennedy? Nixon? So on and so on. I think that running for President shouldn't cost millions. We are a country being run by a very elite and small section of people. How in the world can Bush understand that most American's are just a few paychecks away from homelessness? That man is set for life, and gee just think of how much EXTRA money he will get when he is no longer president. Sickening if you think about it.

Answer: FDR layed the foundation.

If you doubt that, look at how the Democrat party have run it's primaries since 1984. Unlike Republicans they use super-delegates. SUPER DELEGATES? WHAT? This is by their definition, a delegate that unlike rank and file delegates, can come out at the convention and vote for whoever they think is best. Dispite who they were pledged to vote for by the members who elected them to do just that.

Sadly, this is how they see the country as a whole. They think that THEY should have more of a say than WE DO! They think they are "Super-Citizens"! To them, we are just citizens.

look i am all for making a stand..revolting! doin the 60's and 70's thing ok...but how do we fight "city hall" cant do it alone..we need "the people" i know a few things i am doing and will do in the future..i will only buy my gas at a non arab station! i will not buy anything at all at a citgo! i will vote every single elected fool out of office in every election that comes my way..unless by some great miracle they actually do what they were voted in for.i speak out on every level when i see wrongs being done in my local city.we are middle income people here and we are hurting in all ways.and i am just sick of all the b.s. i hear from local and national government.its all crap ! i dont think they would know the truth,reality or what we the people want and need if it jumped up and bit them in the face.besides all this anger i feel along with it comes fear for the future..for us the people,for our country that we are handing over to others,for my grandchildren and with that said..a deep sadness for the huge loss we the people are seeing happen right in front of us AND WE DO NOTHING TO STOP IT ! someone make me understand this..why we do we sit and do nothing? why ?

It doesn't look like you are doing nothing to me. You might think this blog is like yelling into a fan, that being the message gets lost in the distortion. You would be wrong. Lots of people read this blog that dont write back. Your message is getting out even if you dont think so.
