I have given some thought to our rights as an American. There is no doubts that they are dwindleing every time we vote to take one more away. Now we had prayer in schools but it offended a few so we took it out. We teach the theory of evalutions, and it is a theory which means it can not be proved but we do not allow creation to be taught. Why you might ask. I have a theory, because all those who oppose do so because they think it can't be proved. Well if they think it is theory then it should be allowed as well as any other theory.
I've watched as taking the basic teachings of the Ten Commandments out and that went well. Now we have a new generation of children who think lie, cheat, steal, and kill are the rules of the day. Maybe this being too careful not to step on any toes is a right we should re-evaluate. Why should we have to have private schools to give our children a better education? Because we do not want them expose to teaching we do not agree with. We do not want them afforded birth control without our knowledge, or abortions, nor do we all want them taught we evolved from an ape, monkey or any other primate.
What we should have is a school where the non-praying, don't want the Ten Commandments, and want our kids to think they are the great grandchild of a primate go to and one where the prayers and ten comandments and the belief in creation is taught. After all we all pay taxes for schools so we should all have equal rights. Where the parents who do not want their children taught about sex at the ripe old age of 10 or 11 can do just that. After all whensex education was first introduced the rate of teen pregnacies went up not down and has gotten younger and younger as this teaching goes to the younger groups.
Maybe we should go back to the basics of teaching math, english, ( and God knows our children need that taught), history, social studies and sience. What is wrong with learning these subjects? Why should our children all be taught things that alot of us disagree with? After all do you really think you were once a monkey? I think some of us may have been but not me. Do we really think the Ten Commandments are so bad? What part of it sends a moral or life threating message? What was wrong with teaching morals in school?
I see that sparring the rod has spoiled the child no end. That the more rights we lose the worse our nation becomes. I just wonder what will be next to go? Taking God off our money, out of the pledge, and all mention of the Almighty out of the constitution and declaration? And it does say the Almighty Judge of the world and the year of our Lord and one nation under God and in God we trust. I see no mention of Darwin but I could of missed it.
I do know that the more the state teaches the more children are going to heck in a very weak hand basket. Maybe we should have 2 types of school and see which is fullest in the end. Makes me wonder. Just split the schools in half. One side for one type of teaching and one side for another. Seems fair to me and all our rights are covered. Or is it my way or no way? That seems to be how we do. Just curious.

I am a reformed democrat now republican and mother of 5, have 10 grandchildren and one greatgrand child. I have lived all over the US and love to sit on docks and fish. Waiting for the big one. I love my family and a good joke, reading and painting. My siblings all think I need to be taken care of as do my children and I'm the oldest so don't know why. I watch Fox 4 News because you are about the fairest all around on T.V.
