In Afganistan and Iraq Obama stayed inside and spoke to a few troops, played basketball and ate. He spoke to the leaders of the countries and an American general but he went with his mind already made up on his policies. He was ask 3 times if the surge was working and managed to avoid answering every time and in fact said we should never of had it but should of with drawn our troops out and left Iraq to sink on its' own. Yet he says the surge was not the reason but the fact that Iraq took up the slack on its' own that they are doing so well. Then he says we need a surge in Afganistan but if he does not beleive a surge works then why do it. Then he goes to Europe. Now he is making campaign speeches.

Just where is Obama running? Europe or here? What is he up to when he goes over there and tells them they need to send more military into Afganistan? Has he become president and I missed it? Why should the President of France have to tell the people that France is not electing him? Why did Obama have to have a free concert in Berlin, Germany to attract a crowd? Why was he bashing the US there? Just who is Obama and where is he coming from? Just what is Obama up to? He is promising world peace and an end to genocide. How is he going to do this? He cancelled his visit to our military in Germany to make a campaign speech to Germans. Now that is so nice, pay for a concert and then run for president in Germany, then go to France and run in France.

Does he feel he is going to be president of the world? What is he up to? His people already call him president, he has refered to himself as Commander In Chief, is he giving the world the impression he is already our president or that the election is in the bag? He is discussing foriegn policies as if he was our president and he has implied we are violent and prejudice. He has slamed us as a people and as a nation. Just when did we elect him? It is one thing to privately discuss issues it is another to do so publicly as if you are the president and have the right to. What is going on? What facts is he finding when he is making political speeches and not touring Afganistan nor did he tour Iraq. He brings up Jerusalem and how it should be done which is touchy with both Israel and the Muslims.

So what is he up to and why does he think he can hold summit meetings in Europe? Basicly that is what he is doing. One country at a time. Do you not find out facts by asking question and listening rather than telling the world what you want done and by who? I thought it was how you found out about things. You ask and some one explains. Is that not how you go about fact finding? Maybe I am wrong. But my husband, who avoids politics, ask me why Obama was having summit meetings so now I am asking.

It's simple. He will be the next President. Now, before you go and blast me for that comment... let me ask you a few questions.

Why was McCain in Columbia, Canada, and Mexico? What reason would he have to do campaign speeches in those countries? Have you ever wondered exactly what Lobby Groups support the GOP Contender? Have you ever considered the simple fact that McCain has some foreign policy credential, but has almost no domestic credentials?

Mr. Obama was doing what a candidate does. But while in Europe, the leaders of Europe chose to meet him. Why is this? Why would they choose to meet a candidate, if they didn't believe he was probably going to be the next President.

Historically speaking, many presidents in the past spent as much time in Europe shoring up support for their candidacy as they did in the US. Go look it up. I won't take the time to name them all, but most of the Great Presidents had some European support for their candidacy.

Also, consider this... McCain is having to bash Obama just to get attention from the media. Yes, I know... Liberal Media and all that jazz... but the Conservative Media, like Fox News has been following Obama as well. Why is this? He's a News Maker... and McCain, well, He's just old news.

I'm not a Democrat. I'm an Independent... and 8 years ago, I would have voted for McCain. But the reality is... McCain and the Party he represents has done more harm than good to this great country of ours. And it's time to change our Leadership.. and that means someone who thinks progressively and is not afraid to d

Awe but was he telling them to send more troops into Afganistan or how a city in their coutry should be handled or bashing the U.S. for torture and violence and not meeting our ideals? And did he go to the gym and work out instead of visit the injured troops? Obama may be alot of things but he is not the president and he may not become it. There is still hope. As for the U.S. becoming a united goverment with Europe that is not what I want.

Also I am leary of a man who is socilistic in veiws and will not debate nor will he be interviewed by anyone who may ask him hard questions. So far he has said we as Americans are embarassments for not speaking foreign languages, yet he does not, he has insulted small towns, he has insulted our country and he has change his stand on most issues according to who he talks to. He says he is anti war but wanted to bomb Pakistan but he claims he is anti war. He says the surge did not work and wants to use a surge in Afganistan.

He never stated we were embarassments. That is your twist of the words.

He said we should learn to speak the language of the country we visit because it is an embarassment that they speak ours and we do not speak theirs. Now the words are untwisted.

"It’s embarrassing when Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe and all we can say is merci beaucoup.”
Now that is what he said. So we are embarassing. Get over it.

Well, I didn't happen to read that particular article. Did you find it on littlegreenfootballs? I don't think anyone would be so offended if they spoke two languages. Seems hypocritical when everyone and their brother talks about the "dumbing of America" yet when a presidential canidate faces the fact... they are ridiculed. So he states "we"? By we whom is he refering? Perhaps himself or other members of Congress, heck the President. I can't be for certain until I read the entire story... I will not jump to conclusions from a few sentences without the complete context.

Perhaps you should get over it. You ask him to not be sensitive when you yourself are.

I am a reformed democrat now republican and mother of 5, have 10 grandchildren and one greatgrand child. I have lived all over the US and love to sit on docks and fish. Waiting for the big one. I love my family and a good joke, reading and painting. My siblings all think I need to be taken care of as do my children and I'm the oldest so don't know why. I watch Fox 4 News because you are about the fairest all around on T.V.
