I was at the gas station just a couple of weeks ago and this older gentleman was filling up his Dodge Ram Dooley Truck. He looked at me and smiled and said to Hell with these gas prices, I think that i am going to patch of the tires on my 1950s bike and use that to get around. It was not a bad thought but I am sensitive to the HEAT. SMILE. To take the train from San Bernardino to Los Angeles is $15 round trip and for seniors and disabled/handicapped it is half that price, and it takes about an hour. To take the bus from San Bernardino to Montclair is $3.50 for an all day pass and it takes 3 hours, but once in Montclair you can transfer to the express bus to LA or take the metrolink. The metrolink will cost an extra $7 and the express bus an extra $2.50 and approximately 45 more minutes. A monthly pass for the train is about $200 the monthly buspass for San Bernardino county is $33 and I believe just a little bit more for LA county. In either case, I would rather spend $20 round trip and leave a little earlier than to spend $400 a month in gas. My finance' drives an older Benz and it costs him $110 a week just to go to work 30 minutes away from San Bernardino. That bike idea is not so bad especially when you can put it on the front of the bus or take it with you on the train.

I think that having a Bluetooth is a good idea for people that are not responsible for using a cell phone properly, but why make it a mandatory law for having them? I think that this is just another gimmick to make money off of the taxpayers.
Before cell phones, there should have been and are laws that prohibit eating while driving and women putting on make up while driving (since I am a female and do not wear make up), fussing at others while driving and a few other things. With the price of gas going up the way that it is, and the economy going upside down many people might decide to go back to the old fashioned way of life; that is using a home phone or the phone booth. Cell phone prices are going up and getting ridiculous. I
nstead of paying $30-100 for a Bluetooth and then $150 for the cell phone bill, I will be better off using my home phone that costs me an average of $50-75 a month with all of the features and long distance. The average cell phone package ranges about $50 then you have to add federal excise tax, funding to support the Public Utilities Commission, Temp. Surcharges as allowed by the Public Utilities Commission, CA High Cost fund-A, Federal Universal Service Fee, CA teleconnect Fund surcharge, CHCF-B rate adjustment and a bunch of other taxes that are too many to mention. With all of these taxes that many of use do not pay attention to once we get our bills, those taxes are the causes our cell phone bills going from the average $50 to $150 and then we wonder why our bills are so high if we did not go over our anytime minutes.
Now after all of that, why make Bluetooth mandatory. Not everyone is irresponsible. I thing that the laws are good for those under 18 because most kids to not pay attention or they try to show off for their friends, but why do everyone have to suffer because of a few rotten apples in the barrel?

I was speaking with a friend earlier who is a peace officer, and they were saying that they had to get a second job just to pay for the gas. I stated that I should purchase a gas station and charge between $1-$2 for the gas and watch the Nation go CRAZY and the politicians get TICKED. It was just a thought to ease their day. SMILE. Those who have part time jobs, minimum waged jobs, those who are students, and those of us that are not rich (which is most of the country) can barely stay afloat. What are these people thinking? First we had the crisis with the Home buying situation which still exists. Now we have the outrages gas prices. Are politicians thinking? NO! cars are not selling right now, especially the large cars and SUVs. Come on give the country a BREAK on the gas because we all need it. I know it's a dream, but it does not hurt to think about it.

Who was the idiot that made such an obtuse statement, “If Obama became President would we still call the White House White?” What did you do listen to Bootsy Collins’ Chocolate City back in the 1970s?
If Baby Bush was not president now this country would not be reverting back to Hoover’s days and Hooverville before the 1929 stock Market Crash, and the Great Depression. If Baby Bush had commonsense, we would not be paying $5.00 for a gallon of gas. It is sad that a person has a job making $60,000 a year and still have to get a second job just to put gas in their Toyota, Honda or Nissan. If Baby Bush was not president we would not be at war because someone talked about his mommy and daddy. GET MY POINT?
If more people put their faith and trust in God regardless to their religion, this country would not be going through the changes that it is going through now.
Sometimes a person that is poor, a person of color or a woman can do a whole lot better than the self-centered, egotistical, arrogant, incompetent “Good ole boy” because they have an open window of perception. So I say to the person that made that comment, “get a life, accept change, and get over it. If you don’t like it scratch you’re a@* and get glad or move to Mars.” This is only one persons opinion, not society's as a whole and you only speak for a multitude of a few just like you.

I was a victim involved when the old Waterman Canyon fires took place 3 years ago. We lost 3 neighbors and several homes. My friend works 2 hours away from her home in/outside San Diego and she was devastated not knowing about her family or being able to contact them by phone for the first day or so, that same friend just lost a family member and is down south for funeral purposes only to find out through family (and I am like family) of this devastation. I live about 20 minutes from Devore and 12 minute from Cal State San Bernardino, which were all evacuated yesterday. I was out of the city on my way home when a neighbor called and gave me the news that everyone was being evacuated. Thank GOD most of us are more prepared than before. We are on standby evacuation. I know some of this was by a freak of accident, and probably most was done purposely. A letter carrier is still homeless from 3 yrs ago, and the family has just fallen apart. I may be rambling all over the place, but first of all people need to be more cautious of where they flick their cigarettes or just stop smoking (SINCE I DON'T SMOKE), secondly, prosecute those dearly that have committed arson because the tragedy in our lives behind these fires are devasting. You know I heard cruel people say 3 years ago say “OH WELL THEY CAN BUILD AGAIN, or let the insurance pay for it, or most of those people have money, they will be okay.” Well I am here to say it does not matter who you are or what you have, people whether rich poor or middle class ((many) work hard for what they have only for it to be lost in a matter of minutes. I am ticked off and at a lost for words. I already have insomnia so imagine my concern all night as I watch my child sleep and worry about neighbors, family and friends. These fires have destroyed several of celebrities’ homes or dang near it. Maybe we can pass a bill that will severely prosecute such evil doers and create PAPM people against pyro-maniacs. I am only writing now because I have a small opportunity, our belongings are packed and ready to go. I am going to pray for those who have not ever gone through this before, and I am going to especially pray for those of us that are reliving this nightmare. May GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

While the white media is sensationalizing the OJ hotel theft case, this has gone virtually unreported.
This happened in West Virginia , USA very recently and yesterday, Wednesday, 9/12th 2007, Megan Williams was still being treated for this in the hospital.
She was Tortured and Raped for a whole week, by Six White individuals, Three males and Three Females Between the ages of 20 and 49.
CNN normally does not reveal sexual assault victims' names. But Williams, who is hospitalized, and her mother, Carmen Williams, wanted her identity revealed.
Police said Bobby Brewster raped Williams, forced her to lick blood and drink from a toilet, and told his mother to kill Williams if she tried to escape. Authorities previously said Williams was also forced to eat rat and dog feces.
According to criminal complaints filed in the county, Williams was assaulted, stabbed in the left leg, choked with cords and beaten for at least a week. When she was found, big parts of her hair had also been torn off of her scalp. Williams says that Alisha Burton 22 cut her ankle with a knife while saying, "That's what we do to BLEEP around here," police records show.
"I don't understand a human being doing another human being the way they did my daughter," Carmen Williams told The Associated Press on Tuesday from her daughter's hospital room. "I didn't know there were people like that out here."
Deputies received a tip and Saturday visited a home owned by Frankie Brewster in Big Creek , West Virginia . As the deputies spoke with a woman on the front porch, "a female inside the residence limped toward the door with her arms held out, saying 'Help me,' " according to a news release from the sheriff's department. "It's something you'd expect to see in a horror movie, not in Logan County ," Abraham said. "She was subjected to unendurable torture down there."
The six are charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, malicious wounding and battery. If convicted of kidnapping, a suspect could face a sentence of up to life in prison. The penalty for first-degree sexual assault is 15 to 35 years. Abraham said he is seeking the maximum sentence on the kidnapping charges. In addition to the Brewsters, the suspects are Danny J. Combs, 20, of Harts, West Virginia; and George A. Messer, 27, Karen Burton, 46, and her daughter, Alisha Burton, 23, all of Chapmanville, West Virginia. "They all have previous records and have been arrested numerous times," Sheriff W.E. Hunter said Tuesday. "They are familiar to law enforcement."
Frankie Brewster was charged with first-degree murder in 1994, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter in the death of an 84-year-old woman. She was released in 2000 after serving five years in prison, according to court records cited by the AP. All of the six individuals that are involved in this case are accused of 108 different cases of crimes all combined.
All six were being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, and all requested court-appointed attorneys, the AP reported. Investigators are still looking for two other people suspected of driving Williams to the home, according to the AP.
Carmen Williams had not reported her daughter missing, saying Megan Williams often disappeared for weeks at a time.
Carmen Williams said she is "horrified" by her daughter's injuries. "She wakes up crying, and the first thing she hollers is 'Mommy,' " she said.
Spread this article since the news stations are trying to keep this quiet.
Send it to all the Black people you are able to send it to and tell the rest of the Black people you know by word of mouth. It would not hurt to tell White folks also.

Is Bill O’Rielly really a Moron or just SOS (stuck on stupid)? Does he think that just because there are a few rotten apples in all ethnicities, that they all have to act alike? He is not culturally insensitive just stupid. All looks are not alike, meaning just because you have a few rappers or gangsters regardless of color, ethnicity or cultural background that you should identify everyone in that group by the same standards. What did he think when he went to Sylvia’s in Harlem, that Blacks were going to be swinging from the ceilings like Tarzan, or scalping people like in the John Wayne western’s? What a total idiot. He may be educated but he does not possess commonsense. Let him have dinner with poor people period regardless of color, ethnicity or cultural background just because a person is poor does not mean that everyone is on WELFARE.

Why are there so many of our youth dying at such a young age and so tragically?
Why is Lucky Lohan and her partners in crime getting away with murder?
And why do you think Mike Vick found Jesus? (He got religion before he made it to the jailhouse). Saving FACE (won't work with me). I am like Mark Thompson. Cruel and inhumane punishment towards animals is WRONG.
We all make mistakes in life just as we did when we were younger, but my question is "if you get a ticket 3 times in one night for having possession of alcohol and being under the age of 21 and then get arrested during the 4th encounter by law enforcement wouldn't you learn?"
If you had your car impounded 3 times for speeding (racing) and tore up 3 other cars, got your license suspended for 5 years, and yet you continue to drive around on a suspended license, wouldn't you have learned a lesson (so one would think)?
It seems as though many of the ME Generational kids are very inconsideredate feeling invencible and not thinking about those who love them. Now isn't this " Misbehavin according to them?"

It is bad enough that we had to learn about all of the FATAL car crashes within the past 24 hours which is just devestating to family members and friends, but on the same note, do these KIDS ever learn?
I have a friend who is in the Limo business that informed me that if a child is caught driving without a provisional permit regardless to if you or anyone 25 or older is in the car or not, the car will be towed and the minor will not be allowed to qualify for a license until they are 21. In addition they could receive a citation for up to $1,500 and 2 years probation. I do not know the validity of this information, but if accurate then THANK GOD. Maybe if 1 in 5 minors are affected by this then hopefully they will learn a valuable lesson.
Additional information that was given to me was that if a minor (or otherwise) is caught racing the car will be impounded and destroyed to prevent their friends from buying it and racing it again.
As I stated, I do not know how accurate the license part of the information is correct, but tell me how do you feel about it? I am all for it, becaused it could save on insurance, fatalities, (kids being inexperienced drivers), and a number of other issues.

I only ask this question, because it hurts my heart to continuously see our children dying the way they that they are over unessential nonsense. Our president is overtly concerned about a war that is really none of our business when we have a war right here at home. I am going to tell you a little story and understand that the victim nor the friends are gang affiliated.
A 15 year old in San Bernardino was shot over jealousy last week. This morning I heard about the 5 kids/teens that were shot at a house party; my comment is, on the 1st of July, there was some shooting at a house party, and a young man was shot in the back as he was trying to run to safety. He was shot twice, and as he was running he tripped and fell over a small brick wall, knocked a chunk of skin out of his head and broke his neck. He was my son’s best friend. They had been friends since the 5th grade and the young man was 19 years old. Do you know that it took the ambulance over 2 hours to arrive? My son ran 6 blocks to get his friend’s father in which the father, my son and 5 other friends put the young man in the back of his father’s truck only to be told by one hospital that they did not treat gunshot wounds and told by a second hospital that he had to be transported to a 3rd hospital. He laid there on life supports for 4 days before he went home to meet GOD. This too happened in Sn Bdo. You know 2 weeks later, law enforcement still had not caught the shooter? I requested that a $25,000 reward be put out and then I bet the boys’ mother would turn him in. My request was never answered. Ironically, my son and 2 friends were standing in front of his apartment when they saw the 18 year old murderer. They chased him down beat the crap out of him while the girlfriends called the police with the help of other members in the complex. I thank God that nothing happened to them. My son watched his friend get shot and he watched his friend die. He was there every moment with him in the hospital along with the family and other friends. I know that I sound rhetorical and I haven’t gotten straight to the point, but this young man was like my son. He always had a comic sense of humor, always smile and truly believed in God. He made everybody’s day from all walks of life and was truly loved. Why is it that many kids today do not value life the way we once did? You know the killer was arguing with a 16 year old over a girl and this young man was not the intended victim. Please continue to pray for us and our extended family. Services were Friday the 20th of this month, but it is after everyone is gone that we will all really need support, especially the parents and my son. I have included a poem that I wrote for this young man and my son, I left my name out for this blog.

THE ONE’S I LOVE…
Life is precious, life is dear,
Please oh Lord lend me your ear.

please help them to understand and do no wrong.
Keep my legacy alive through LOVE
as you release GOD’S precious Doves.
Help my friends to understand that I am safe in GOD’S hands.

God has drawn his blueprint plans.

Just write a few things that you are grateful for today. After the fatal accident in Ontario, we should stop and reflect upon many things in our lives. Do not be derogative, be positive. And think your thoughts through before writing them.

How about the media stepping up to the plate and stop glamorizing so many negative issues and incorporate some positive issues…help to diffuse some of these issues…when reporting on the negative, come up with some positives or ask for suggestions…the media can do wonders.
Djohnson2 said that “Over the past year, there has been an increase in Gang violence, Gang vandalism and gang related racial tensions on and off school campuses in South Central Los Angeles…this include other areas that we do not even hear about…Reports show that students felt most unsafe, not only on campus, but in the community as they moved to and from school. Students reported being the victims of armed robberies, gang harassment, intimidation, drive-by shootings, and other crimes
I recently asked the question, “Media havoc & School Drama,” Did you know that violence has gone on for decades on the high school campuses? Is this something that is new to you or is it a wake up call from Columbine High School? Tell me what is the difference between twenty years ago, ten years ago, yesterday and today. Does the environment play a pivotal role or does the media? Describe some salient characteristics (important issues).
Christine Devine leave us with these words… student "tags" a bus... with Mayor Villaraigosa on board. Now, Villaraigosa wants to be the teen's mentor. A+ idea??? Two schools of thought. I applaud Mayor Villaraigosa for wanting to help our youth... but can't help but wish a student doing great things, getting good grades, and abiding by the law would get such a generous offer. On the other hand, Mayor Villaraigosa has talked about his own difficulties as a young person. Perhaps he might just be the person to make change... one young person at a time.
Reality is that IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD AND IF WE WANT CHANGE WE ALL HAVE TO PITCH IN EVEN IF IT ONLY A LITTLE. IT IS THE EFFORT THAT COUNTS…
The Navy Cadets ages 10-17, The Marine Devil Pups, The Air Force (Through the Tuskegee Airmen), the Police Explorers, The Fire Explores and other programs for children and teenagers have several programs that these kids. I am not saying that these are for all children but it is a start in the right direction. Let’s hear your opinions…
