If I had witnessed anyone doing this to an animal, I would have taken action first and then called the SPCA, the lady might could have saved this poor dogs life.   I hope they catch those little sicko kids who did this as they are just a few years away from becoming mass murderers.

Ohhhhhh, lord!!!!!

I can't STAND it when people do this kind of isht to dogs!!! I think they should do something similar to the kids! I don't mean set them on fire, but, a good burning of the *ss somehow wouldn't hurt (or would it)...Brand them like cattle...as a dog abuser?

But, then again, I love and respect my dog more than many people I know, so I guess that I'm somewhat bias.

I totally agree Jim, I knew there was something about you that made me like you instantly- you love your dog. I love my dog the same way, if anyone ever tried to hurt her, I would have to really really hurt them. Animals are innocents, a dog, is your best friend, loves you unconditionally and very loyal... the least we can do as humans, is return the favor. My Avitar is my little baby Sandy. She was a puppy when I saw a van full of mexicans dump her on a train track, I didn't need another dog, at the time, I had 5 but I took her, thinking I would find her a good home... that was nearly 3 years ago, she is part of our family and we love her, spoil her and she goes to the Doctor as much as we do, because we want to have her around for a long time. She lets my son ride her around like a horse (She's Lab and Whippett) and they are best of friends. I can't stand the thought of anyone doing any sort of harm to her or to any animal.

I agree, the kids who did this need to feel the fire too, maybe not in the burn of a flame but certainly a good blistering on the ass... a couple of months of community service making them clean out the kennels at the animal shelters wouldn't hurt them either.

I volunteer with an animal rescue organization... as a matter of fact one of our two dogs was our 1st foster. Sadly, abuse is more ramaont than most people realize. Sickens me what people can justify in their own warped minds.

Though I do have a (human) child which I love with all my heart, I will always consider my two furry beasts my other kids. They are more than animals in my eyes. The running joke in our large extended family, is that everyone wants to be do gog under my husband & I's care in their 'next life'. I have pampered pooches!

I understand totally Snobunny, we have a child too but Sandy is our four legged child, as an added bonus, she also likes to wear clothes :) There are girls here at my firm who claim she has more clothes than they do.

I have a very good friend who works with several rescue groups here in Dallas, she has told me some stories that have broken my heart, I honestly do not know how people can be so cruel to such loving and trusting souls. God Bless you for helping these sweet angels.

I think about when I get home from work, the sheer look of love in his eyes, tail wagging like your the only thing that matters in the whole world. My buddy has an advanced case of hip displacia (he's only 12, did I spell that right?) But yet, he struggles up the steps to sleep in my room every night. I've tried to get him to sleep downstairs, for his own good, but, he won't have it.

I think that if most people actually took the time to KNOW their dogs, they would feel the same way as we do.

Btw.....Guns and Bunny, I think you two may get along quite well in this cyber world,

Awww bless your sweet buddy. I had chihuahua's that had hip displacia and it is so sad to see them, they somehow manage to get around though. My Chihuahua kiddo's lived to be about 15 years old and were great little friends.

Last year we had 3 little dogs who were living on a vacant lot, the former block where a bunch of apartments had once been, the city knocked them down for Code Enforcement issues and put a fence around the lot. These 3 little dogs never left, they would go over to the foundations where the apartments once stood and sniff and sniff around, as if they were looking for their home or their owners, it was heart breaking. Many of us would pass by and see them, many of us would bring them food and water, many of us tried to get them to come to the fence so we could take them and find them homes... they trusted no one. Eventually those of us who would stop and feed them decided to work as a team, we assigned daily feedings, some of the office buildings around the lot donated food, eventually 2 of the dogs began to trust us and we were able to rescue them, the third... a hold out, would never come forward, it was only just recently, with some professional help, that the last dog was rescued. All three were given health exams, brought up to date on their shots, spayed/neutered and homes were found for them- the first two were adopted together so that worked out well. Three innocent little souls, left behind by careless owners, managed to attract the attention of about 70 humans, all strangers at one time, now friends... because of 3 little homeless an

I can't really say as to what the horrible people who did this to the dog should get as a sentence.

Let's go back to an eye for an eye as a punishment.

I agree Stylegal. My husband just ran up to the store for me and was gone for over an hour, he came back with a tale of a Black Pit Bull puppy that had been dumped on the parking lot, he said he and a Dallas Fireman and a man from Atmos Energy spent that hour trying to lure the poor baby, it was scared and lost. The fireman wanted the dog, so the three of them tried to catch it. The fireman had ice cream in his truck so my husband stayed on the parking lot until the guy could return, he returned with dog food and the dog still wouldn't come near them to allow them to even touch it. My husband eventually came on back home but he said that Fireman was still up there trying to get the dog. I hope he does, the poor baby needs a good home.
