On the news last night, I watched how Chelsea handled being questioned about Monica Lewinsky.

First of all, I was appalled that some one would ask her about this.  Why would anybody want to bring up an obviously hurtful time in her life that has absolutely nothing to do with her mother's campaign.

Chelsea handled it well.  She told the person who asked the question that it was none of thier businees, and out of all the colleges she has spoken at, this is the first time that question has been asked.

What is wrong with people??  Why do they need to feel the need to feed off of other's pain?

I'm so glad Chelsea put that person in their place and made them look like a fool.

This is what happens when you're Momma PIMPS you out. Why is this not a proper question? Why was she not asked why she Covers for her Lying Mother who claims she is a War Veteran, "Landed Under Sniper Attack"! If the pictures are true, was she not wandering around in the Compound during all of this Sniper Fire. You my dear are throwing _iss in the wind. She and her Momma are true Clinton liars. Got it?

The sins of the father should not be placed on the children. It is inconsiderate and rude to ask his daughter this. It is her father's business, not hers. And it has nothing to do with Hilary's canpaign. As to the "pimping" comment: All candidates wifes, husbands, children campaign for their family members. Is George Bush a pimp because his father endorsed his candidacy years ago?

This is simply a blog about rude and obnoxious people. I'm not going to get into the lies that politicians tell. I'm not going to argue the "pimp" issue either.

hdrider - let's just hope your children are never harrassed for your mistakes.

girlscout - so true. I don't think this should've been brought up at all!

Be sure to do one about "hdrider". I think he qualifies as obnoxious people. I wish we could find his kids and ask them why their father is a prick on this site.

This question is so inappropriate, especially for a campaign event. What her father did has no business in Hillary's campaign.

As for the "pimping" thing, that was also very inappropriate. ALL political candidates use their families and children as props for those "photo-op" moments.

And I don't know what is up with that sniper attack thing. It's really not the end of the world.

polarbear - I agree with you 100%

Common curtesy is a lost art.
Chelsea handled the situation well, obviously her parents taught her how to behave.

I didn't see the news last night but I would think this person that would ask someone about there parents indescrestions is a moron. I hate when you see some of these news reporters ask the dumbest or most obvious questions.

If this BLEEP was a Rep. you would be on my side. If you don't get the Sniper thing, you are dumber than you look. Ask a VET. about SNIPERS. Yes I voted Bush, TWICE. Never again for dog catcher. I've never seen anyone write a blog about Bush's daughters and their supporting his campaign on this blog website. They seem like two very nice young ladies and are not responsible for things their father has done.

Chelsea Clinton is a grown woman, she's nearly 30 years old and she voluntarily waded into the turbulent waters or a political campaign, for the highest elected office that this country offers. As comedian Dennis Miller is fond of saying, “Wear a cup!”

I don’t think the question about the Monica Lewinsky situation was below the belt or out of bounds….Senator Clinton lists her “experience as First Lady” as her qualification to be our next President, and exactly how she dealt with that deeply troubling time is a good indicator of her crisis management skills, and that is a very important requirement for anyone who seeks to occupy this Nation’s highest elected office and to control our military forces & nuclear weapons.

Even Bill Clinton was quoted as saying this week, “If a politician doesn't wanna get beat up, he shouldn't run for office. If a football player doesn't want to get tackled or want the risk of an occasional clip he shouldn't put the pads on.”

The same is true for the younger Ms. Clinton. If she doesn’t wish to be asked tough, personal & invasive questions, then she shouldn’t involve herself in a political campaign.

I'm sorry, I think we as human beings should have a little more compassion for others and think before we speak.
I'm tired of people getting pleasure from other people's pain. I thought we were suppose to be civilized!

"If you don't get the Sniper thing, you are dumber than you look. Ask a VET. about SNIPERS."

I couldn’t agree more with this statement. I’ve worn the uniform of a US Marine, and I’ve been deployed to Iraq for combat operations. Padding a resume is one thing, but totally making up & repeating phony war stories is unforgivable among the ranks of service men & women. There is a reason why wearing phony medals that you never earned is universally frowned upon, and that’s exactly what Senator Clinton tried to do with her “corkscrew landing” and “sniper fire” fantasies.

I know why she did it though, she know that neither her nor Obama can even touch Senator McCain in a military sense, and she was trying to make herself appear brave & calm in the face of life threatening enemy fire but that doesn’t excuse her intentional dishonesty and false bravado.

It was bad enough when she sat there and called General Petraeus a liar to his face for her own political ambitions, but this was far worse…. It’s unforgivable!

As human being we are in general, civilized….political campaigns are not, and haven’t been for awhile now!

She is not a child and the public deserves to know as much about a canidate as we can find out. This was part of thier life. When a spouse cheats it does not only affect the non-cheating spouse but the whole family. If she was 16 it would be wrong but she is an adult and is campaining for her mother. I think she is open game as should be any other adult child of a canidate campaining for thier parent.

sorry gyro, i have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. chelsea is in this thing voluntarily and her momma is using her so-called "experiences" as first lady on her campaign. that includes monica lewinsky.

All three of them, Bill, Hilary & Chelsea opened the door, it's inevitable that SOMEONE would step through it.

:)

I am a homemaker. I hope to start breeding goats in the spring. I have 2 alpines, 1 nigerian dwarf, 1 pygmy, and on mix goat. My children are grown, so now my goats are my "kids".
