The price at Ridge & Brookpark was up over $2.80/gal this morning. Why?! I thought the increase last week was because Iran detained those Britons, who were released yesterday. Shouldn't the price have gone down?! They raised the price because the warm weather was prompting more people to drive around town. With this cold weather, shouldn't the price have gone down again?!

What's the deal?! When will our politicians do something about these increases that take place for every and any excuse the oil industry can come up with?! We're getting gouged for absolutely no reason, and it's time to get MAD!!!

Because the Watchdogs for that is the Public.
We dont get paid to rally or vote,so most of us just complain and deal. I would like to see
more research done on GREEN resources and less
dependancy on foriegn help! Problem is we need
a media to unite that we all can afford. The one with the biggest bank roll rules.

Well, I think it's time to complain and get our politicians to deal, or we better use our heads and vote for someone else. I read in the PD that some gas stations in the Cleveland area have been given grant money to make ethanol available at their stations, one of which is a Sunoco in Parma. I have a flex-fuel vehicle, but I can't purchase ethanol anywhere in the area, which I think it ridiculous when you consider ethanol is manufactured as close by as Medina! I'm tired of all the lies we are told about price fluctuations. We need to bring the oil executives in front of Congress to testify under oath as to why the prices seem to jump at the drop of a hat. If they lie, convict them!

You will probably always see increases when there is a holiday weekend coming up which ups the amount of travel. I have noticed that since the gas prices have been on the rise for quite some time. A holiday weekend approaches and there ya have it - the Thursday before, the gas prices begin to skyrocket.

I agree - I think this is gouging, but like many other issues in this country, there just do not seem to be enough numbers out there to take a stand and get some action. People are all too afraid, I guess. I don't know.

Well, when the president's cronies consist of oil guys, there's not much he's going to do to help bring prices down because this affects his profit margin. Not to mention his Saudi buddies--why wouldn't he attempt to talk them down from gouging our country unless he wasn't in it for the money. I think Congress seriously needs to take a stand on behalf of the people to keep the oil guys from raising prices at their every whim. Fortunately, the price at the Brookpark-Ridge Speedway came down to $2.74--. Perhaps it's time to picket in front of gas stations like the guys who picket in front of the new Rite Aid at Ridge & Pearl Roads. We all seemingly need gasoline in our cars, so one would think we could do something about it. Nevertheless, you have a point about the holiday weekend--I didn't think about that. I suppose we should just say "Happy Easter" and "Happy Passover" to our friends, the big oil tycoons!

Scam, Scam, Scam,Scam, and we are a bunch of whoosies and afraid and don't do what needs to be done, and we don't want to ride with anyone to save gas or take a bus because it's all about me and screw the rest of our fellow americans because it's all about i can afford it to bad if you can't,it's all about ME!!

We better start doing something about cutting back, that's for sure. However, it's just not going to happen where I will take a bus from the western suburbs to the eastern suburbs. It would take me three hours, one way! Nevertheless, I'm tired of watching everyone else take home all the money while I don't get even a cost-of-living increase for two years! In that sense, I am selfish; but I've experienced too much BS to take it anymore.
