Conveniently, the media have dropped the issue surrounding Brady Quinn's alleged homophobic rants in Akron on New Year's Day simply because he denied any involvement, and the Browns accepted that denial. However, the Akron PD's records have indicated a discussion with Quinn regarding the incident. Meanwhile, Quinn denies having had any interaction with the Akron PD. Whom are we to believe, the APD or Quinn?

It seems to me as if Quinn's integrity is in question. Furthermore, he comes off appearing as a bigot. One wonders why so many NFL teams passed on Quinn before Cleveland dealt to pick him up. Could it be that other teams knew something the Browns didn't? Are there other questions to be answered about his character?

The answer seems to be 'yes.' It seems the Browns will lose a quality QB if Derek Anderson leaves, and Browns fans will be left with a QB in Quinn who seems to be of questionable football and social skills.

I knew some idiot would show his true colors (in this case, a bigoted Republican--what else is new?!) by defending Quinn's actions. As a public figure, Quinn lacks the intelligence not to show his bigotry toward any group of people, especially in public! As a Republican, superbrowns advocates the show of hatred toward others. What if Quinn were to have called someone the "N" word, or a Jew a derogatory term, would that be acceptable to you?! Probably not, but this is where intelligence and integrity come into play. Do we really want a bigot and someone with no integrity leading the Browns offense?! Also, (to superbrowns) I presented this post as a hypothetical situation, as indicated by the "if" statement. Perhaps you should try reading my post a little more closely. Furthermore, you should keep yourself informed by referencing a dictionary for the proper use of the word "too." Unfortunately, you used "to." Moreover, you might keep yourself informed that Bush and the Republicans have completely decimated this economy through its "optimism." Ironically, Republicans tend to accuse the media of being "liberal," but this situation seems to call for a media that has closed its eyes to the truth, just like it has to all the illegal tactics of the Bush administration.

I think the big question for Brady Quinn is why the Browns drafted him in the first round if they didn't think he could be the starting quarterback at some point? Most athletes in today's society have off field issues, however, we don't see much about the ones that do good things off the playing field...that doesn't sell newspapers or magazines.

Darn right I'm angry when someone feels it's okay for professional athletes to express their hatred and get away with it. Even O.J. got away with murder. I suppose you think that's okay if it's his choice. Keep on supporting Bush and bigotry, moron Republican!

Brady Anderson had one hell of a year but that is all he had. I don't believe he will be as good or better. I believe what Quinn says I believe he is the Quarterback of the future for the Browns. The Browns have learned when they totally messed up Tim Couch. So they are making sure and not through Quinn into the fire before he is ready. You wait until the Browns start training Quinn will be the starting Quarterback. I think Anderson right now is very good trade bait because next year his stock will go down. Look at Lebron James the best basketball player I have ever seen but I don't like what I have been hearing with him and New Jersey Nets. Could it be by the year 2010 he will leave Cleveland and go somewhere else like everyone has, hint, Manny, Jim Thome and Cleveland received nothing for any of them.
Hey Cleveland Browns use Anderson as a high trade. GO QUINN

I think Quinn is a head case and will be a flop. Anderson is big with a cannon for an arm. I believe it's going to be a matter of his gaining more experience so that he'll make less mistakes by recognizing coverages and trying to sneak passes into too tight of spaces.

As for LeBron, I have issues with his bigoted comments of the past, as well. He's a great basketball player, but character should account for something. I found it funny that the Wizards' Stevenson was gesturing about LeBron's being on a pedestal. There aren't too many players who would have disrespected him like that, but I give Stevenson credit. He played better than LeBron last night. I don't fault players for moving to other teams if the money's there. Most people would do the same. It's a business. Unfortunately, we can't all experience such riches.
