It's really an insult  to all the people who came to this country  and helped built this great

system we have by hard work, taxes, conforming to the laws, etc. Today, we have to bend

down on our knees to please these ungrateful ILLEGALS or criminals that are coming to

live here just to freeload. No politician or ACLU group has a right to make it sound as if

these people have a right to be here, They don't have a right. They are sponging off the

hard working middle class. The people who have the money in this country have no rigth

to hire these people. They are illegal. If they want to change or bend the laws then we

will probably have a revolution or some stronger reaction then the border guards in

Texas.

We have a Mayor in NY who is threatning city workers by firing them if they tell who

these ILLEGALS are. He should be fired, he doesn't have a right to do this, this is America

It's time the middle clas start threatening the politicians with a no vote if they don't

stop this nonsense.

I agree. Politicians who stand in the way of our law enforcement agencies doing their jobs should be voted out. They are just pandering to the mainly Hispanic groups to gain favorable votes in the next election. Illegal means outside the law. My father and his family came to this country to better themselves, and they did it legally. They all became citizens, paid taxes, and contributed to their communities. These immigration laws are there for a reason and they should be enforced....

I agree. Politicians who fail to aid our law enforcement agencies to uphold our laws, and actually encourage individuals to skirt around them, should be forced out of office. After all, they are just pandering to those groups, such as Hispanics, among others, who will be the most effected by the enforcement of our current laws. My family, on both sides, were immigrants, "legal immigrants". All were honored to become citizens, pay taxes and contribute to their communities.....

There are only two things that will change the current state of immigration from south of our border: Stricter US employment laws with better enforcement and improved economies In South and Central American countries. As long as US companies continue to employ illegal aliens, they will continue to come. You can't blame the immigrants for wanting a better life. It is the US companies who are making large profits off the backs of hard working, law abiding immigrants that are really to blame. responsibility, like charity, starts at home.

Who are these "ungrateful illegals" you wrote of?

They handfull you hear about in the news, or read in the newspaper surely cannot be the total number of immigrants who come into this country, if that were the case, there would be no problem.

Being an American and having traveled I fully understand why many people throughout the world would want to live here. Our freedom, and land of plenty will forever look apealing to many. You really dont cant blame any living soul for wanting a better life, for them and even sometimes their children.

I also feel there should be more strict laws as to why and how people come into this country. One where being a + to our economy is number 1 on the list. I came across my grandparents papers from way back in 1930's where they both had to proove they had a trade and some cash before they were allowed to come to NY, they came from PR. Times have changed indeed.

This country was born through people from all kinds of places, destroying that pattern, well, would make us just the same as communists countrys, no?

Its sad that America has so much that even those born here do not live fully as an american, vote, pay taxes, contribute. I say get americans to do their part, make an excellent example for those who want to live here....

Cityslicker, remember this point, your paying
taxes to provide better care for your family's
future. Alot of other ethnic groups are doing the same, when people come into this country
they should be grateful that this country is
made great by those who pay taxes, instead of
looking for a handout and going back to their
country and telling others how the U.S. is a
terrible place.

Sanchus, your right. If companies or businesses
employ illegals of course they will come. The
trouble that this country is having with illegals is that these people who are employing
them are violating the law. They should be fined heavily. The U.S. should do something now, otherwise more state militias will be forming ,like in Texas, and this proble will be handled by these militias.

my6luvs, your right on the money with your thoughts on this issue. Hopefully, this will not become a major problem beause right now it's becoming an issue that won't go away.

My point was that not all who come into this country are looking for a handout. And I dont mind paying taxes to help someone get on their feet. We all need some help every now and then... no?

Cityslicker, it's great that you want to help
people. But, your taxes should be going to
fellow Americans, who have lost their jobs,to
building bridges, etc, those taxes are suppose to help fellow Americans.
Your failing to understand that illegal immigration is now an issue. When other ethnic
groups came to this country, they had to wait.
We can't keep helping others because of the goverments they have are failing or corrupt.
Thanks for your reply
