Is Gov. Spitzer right by giving the 1 million illegals the right to drive?

I believe this governor is the worst Gov. that NY has had since of been alive. He believes  he can give licenses to 1 million illegals without the consent of the voters. He's the same man who spied on Mr. Bruno. I believe Mr. Nixon was put out of office for the same thing he did. You know the middle class will be suffering the burden again for this. All jobs will be given to illegals because cheap labor. Where are the teamsters when you need them. It's time now the Federal government step in before this becomes a serious problem.

It's time to dump Spitzer

I agree but there is a more scary reason to not giving these illegals real drivers licenses. Its called terrorism. a lot of the mexican illegals are being recruited by terrorist and giving these illegals ids would help them attack this country. it blows my mind that laws don't mean anything in this country. if it was up to these liberals there would be no law and no government. if this goes though you will see an attack on this country. could you imagine a terrorist getting an id. most of those that acted on 911 had drivers licenses.

Thanks for the reply, Spitzer is the worst Governor NY has seen in a long time. He should be kicked out after what he did with Bruno. He's a little boy who never grew up. He's a spoiled brat

The word "illegal" means just that, NOT legal. These people have no right to be in our country, now the Gov. of my state wants to give them legal drivers licenses. This is nothing more than a political stunt to gain more votes. Mr. Spitzer is supposed to uphold our laws, but by doing this, he's thumbing his nose at all of us. my6luvs, Glen Spey, NY

He got away with it, by abusing the use of Executive order, it's time this man be put out of office, he spies on Bruno nothing is done, he's abusing his authority. Everyone should be mad as h---, call your Rep time to put this clown out to pasture.

MY SON WAS HIT IN THE BACK OF IS CAR BY A ILLEGAL .NO INSURANCE AND TO BOOT HE WAS DWI.LET THEM GET THERE PAPERS PAY INSURANCE AND PAY TAXES. THE PERMIT TEST IS IN SPANISH SO HOW DO THEY READ THE SIGNS.I CAME HERE AND LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH AND EVERY ONE SHOULD LEARN TOO.

listen there here, there illegal, and now they can pass the border and get the remainder of there family? drivers license help you open your own bank account and at the end we realize the money is going somewhere else. hmmmmm..what an invite for another attack.

Your so right thirtyfunnish, I hope your kids and mind get to benefit from all the taxes that
we pay. I know the illegals are doing quite well with our money, just ask that rich spoiled brat of a Gov, how did he get elected.
It's his type of personality that will create
a new civil war. Sorry to hear about your son, but I hope the Chineese, Koreans, Russians,etc.

There are New Yorkers to whom have loss their license for an illegal act, and are punished. This lack of having a license is affecting the lively hood for some. Before you give driver's license to illegal's, give some amnesty to the LEGAL New Yorkers and other citizens first. Let's give NY and NJ citizens a chance to redeem themselves. Reissue the driver's license to them who has been suspended, giving them 18 to 24 months to work on clearing up any infractions that cause the suspension. LET'S HELP THE TRANSTATE AREA GET ON IT'S FEET.

Hey Guys don't blame Spitzer. He has just lost his mind. AGAIN. Having a license is confusing, having a three-tiered licences are three times confusing. How can Spitzer understand that. He can't. As I said previously, he lost his mind. AGAIN.

Thirtyfunnish, I couldn't agree with you more.
Remember 9/11 only took a few people to carry out their dastardly act. With free drivers licenses to roam, we will never know how many are illegals.

With that in mind, they can make 9/11 look like a day in the park.

THANK YOU SPANKYNJ1 and ASH1, of course the gov who should be impeached for spying on Bruno and the using an Executive order that wasn't required on this issue. He's a little baby who never grew uo, how he became a gov is beyone me. He doesn't listen to legal tax paying citizens, WHY? This guy has to go he does more harm then good.

He is an idiot, most likely wants them to be able to vote also. Now that they would have an ID they could slip theu and vote.. gusee what party the illegal people would vote for?? Tough guess huh? Illegal is Illegan and supporting a crime as he is by pushing his will on the people should end him up in jail for harboring criminals especially if anything happens to anyone atthe hands of an illegal person
