Gas, food and everything else is going up why cant we see pay do the same

We are in Iraq one of the riches oil countries in the world. We are spending billons of dollars to be there. why cant we tap into there oil to help us offset the cost of the so called war. We help other countries when we cant even help our own. why is it that the oil companies make such big profits if they made less profit the price of gas might go down     My point lets just get oil from Iraq to pay for the war and that might make the oil comp here trim some of there profits

The answer is simple. IT'S NOT OUR OIL!
Remember in Desert Storm when all those against us said we were just there to occupy Kiewit and take their oil? What did we do? We rescued their butts and gave them back their oil.(after putting out the fires) Why did we do this? The answer again is IT'S NOT OUR OIL!

See how easy that was? Dont worry though. Reports this week said that they oil companies are moving back in to start pumping in Iraq now. That will boost supply and bring down prices. How much remains to be seen but it's coming.

By the way, you said "the oil companies here". There are are no companies that just sell oil here. They sell it all over the world! You think Exxon-Mobil and Texico just sells in the US? They are global companies! Dont forget, Shell is Dutch, Citgo is Venezualen and BP is British. See how it works now?

I am a 41 yr old man. I got hurt at work so im only getting 2/3s of my pay, my job paid me $8.50 hr so you can see why the price of fuel,food, and other expences are hurting me. I am also a newly wed. My wife just started work at min wage.
