I listened to most of the Tribe Game last night and I gotta admit, listening to the ninth inning reminded me of the Cavs double overtime win in more ways than one. It was as if Lebron was batting for us in the ninth and helped us come through with yet another come back win against a Detroit team.
Seeing Jacobs Field filled to maximum capacity again was a welcome sight. There is nothing better than not being able to hear Mike Heagan and Tom Hamilton because the crowd is making so much noise, it drowns out their voices. What a night at Jacob's Field. Imagine what downtime Cleveland will be like tomorrow night if the Cavs win and the Indians win.
I wonder what the heck is going through Detroit's mind right now!

No matter what these folks say, I don't
feel safe at all eating fish or any seafood that happens to come out
of Lake Erie. No need to increase my intake of mercury. How about
you? Do you feel safe eating the fish you catch now a days?
Especially in Lake Erie?
I hope that the virus doesn't do as
much damage as it is capable of. Considering the overfishing that is
taking place in the world, this is not the time for the fish to begin
dying in rapid numbers like the honey bees.

Wow the timing of this story is pretty coincidental. I'd like to see aluminum bats banned in Ohio. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing them being banned everywhere. Let me share a story with you that happened on Mother's Day.
Some bad news concerning a co worker of mine.
Nick, who was playing softball Mother's Day morning was pitching for
his team when the opposing batter hit the ball as a line drive hitting
Nick on the left side of his skull. It knocked him unconscious for
about 20 seconds. Life flight had to fly in and land on the field to
take him to Cleveland Metro Hospital where he was later transferred to
the ICU at the Cleveland Clinic.
As it turns out, he has a skull fracture, a neck fracture, swollen
brain, and blood on the brain. The part of the brain that controls
speech and your ability to speak is swollen and at this time he is
unable to talk. He has shown signs of moving around and being somewhat
responsive but it's not looking to good for him right now. I hope he
gets better soon. We are now another man short on night crew and this
week is going to be hell.
All of this from a line drive shot to the head from a softball.
Makes you wonder if we are going to see pitchers wearing football
helmets when they play the game.

Oh my. After reading about the spiders that were found in that boys ear, I am now really afraid to go to sleep. Sometimes I would think about situations such as this. What would happen if I went to sleep and one of those things crawled inside my nose, my ear, or for god sakes my mouth. No need to remind me of the statistic that tells us on average how many spiders we eat in our sleep per year.
This story is just freaky and I hope this never happens to me! How many of you will have trouble sleeping tonight after knowing about this story?

On Tuesday May 2nd 2007 severe
thunderstorms moved through the northern Ohio area causing quite a bit
of wind damage. These storms also produced quite a few funnel clouds
while only one of them was confirmed to have touched the ground. The
storms never moved directly overhead where I live but I did manage to
snap a few photos of the storms when they were about 15-20 miles south
of me. Nothing special but dark clouds none the less!

It appears as though today presents the best chance of having severe weather since the season began. SPC is forecasting a slight risk of Severe Thunderstorms for the area and they have us down for a 30% chance of seeing significant winds and hail while we have a 5% chance of seeing Tornadoes. Hopefully if the storms initiate early and form ahead of the squall line, I will be able to head out and take some photos but I have a feeling that were just going to be dealing with a squall line which never really results in much.
Keep your eye to the sky today.

Cleveland doesn't often experience a weekend of sports like the one we just experienced. The CAVS swept the Wizards, The Indians are on a roll and the Browns just went through a phenomenal draft. Despite how the Cavs barely won their playoff games sit back and enjoy what was, the perfect sports weekend.

I applaud these fast food chains for finally getting rid of the fatty oils and substituting them with 0g trans fat oils. I'm not sure if this will impact the taste of the food but at least now folks won't have to feel so damn guilty when they are eating it. I hope more fast food chains jump on the bandwagon.

A tornado watch has been issued for most of the counties west of Lorain. I'm still waiting for a break in the clouds so that some sunshine can peak through but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Around 11:30 A.M. this morning the first round of storms blew through which produced quite a bit of heavy rain in a hurry but they quickly moved out of the area. Looks like the tornado potential is their with any storms that form south or near the warm front, so let's see what happens.

As I was driving home this morning I heard about Wadsworth School being closed today because of some sort of threat. It seems as though there is a new threat being called in to some local school once a week and I don't know why. Do the kids find this act to be a joke? Perhaps they think they can get away with it and in the end get a day off from school. I don't know why these school kids are making these sort of threats but it appears to be happening at an alarming rate recently.

Why do events like this take place? What in the world possessed this person to go around shooting over 20 people? For god sakes, places of education are turning into places of fear. What do we as Americans have to do to prevent events like this from happening?

Man, I just got in from pumping a full tank of gas into my 2000 Ford Mustang and it cost me $37.50 Is anyone else feeling the pinch from these high gas prices?
It still upsets me to hear about the oil companies reporting record profits and here I am going broke trying to fill my tank up.

My oh my what a way to get back at your husband. Ask him to pose naked for you so you can grab a couple of shots and then post the images on Myspace where children of all ages are virtually guaranteed to see perhaps their own teacher nude. I think the school administration team made the right decision in terminating the teacher and I hope that everyone else reading this story realizes this could happen to them. MySpace 1 Teacher 0

Early on Monday morning I began to fill this
tickle in my throat. Once I felt this I knew what was going to come
next. Sneezing then ensued and now I am dealing with one stuffy runny
nose as well as mild dizzy spells. I think one of my co-workers got me
sick but who knows. I want to call off work tonight but I can't really
afford to. At any rate I'll keep blowing the hell out of my nose and
just get on with it.
Are you sick or are starting to feel the symptoms of something around the corner?

Just watched another Ohio based team lose yet another championship. Although none of the Ohio teams has a curse like any Cleveland based sports team does, I think it is starting to become contagious. Whats that phrase we keep saying? Maybe next year?
