The office of "President of The United States of America" has become an office without the slightest shred of dignity or principal.

The last president to hold both an office of dignity and principal was Ronald Regan.

Following him was George H.W. Bush. You all remember the President who solved his recession by purchasing a pair of socks at J.C. Penney and who barfed in the lap of a Japanese dignitary, right?

You also remember Bill and Monica, right?

How about the current Pres. who told us to "drive less" as fuel prices started to spike and who played the buffoon at a recent graduation ceremony?

Hillary wants to do shots and beers to impress the working people of this country.

Obama is having a hard time distancing himself from his hate filled preachers and church while he tries to convince us that he is for "change" that he won't define.

Who does that leave? We have McCain of the Republican Party who seems to be a "middle of the road" guy who I'm sure is honorable and has certainly given more than his share in defense of our country and you have Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party who is certainly a defender of individual liberties.

Who can guite us through a resolution of beserk fuel prices, out of control ILLEGAL immigration, the War on Terror and all of the other problems facing this country AND restore dignity to the office of President.

Only you the voter can decide.

Paul isn't even in the ring.

All you've got is my buddies Barr and Root, obama, clinton, and McCain.

There is of course Nader, but it remains to be seen how many states will have him on the ballot. Most likely not enough to even possibly win.

We're going to set records this year, I can just feel it.

The problem is, people will, as always, vote for the lesser of two evils, not the best person for the job.

I think Pat Paulson would have been great as a candidate..dead or alive.

If you're going to write a dead person in, it may as well be Barry Goldwater

I remember Pat, he cracked me up. If I don't write in myself, I'll write in Dr. Paul. There has to be some reason the MSM shunned him, other than money. He has actually improved his numbers, just nobodies covering it since McCain went over the party number. But since I think it's important, and I like to sleep at night I'll write in Ron Paul.

This year everyone will be holding their nose while they vote for the best of the bad. Until we get rid of the two party system (we do that by convincing the media there are more than 2 parties to cover), we are stuck with the people each party vomits out.

I just hope that voter dissatisfaction this year does not elect Obama...self descrived "son of Africa", not "son of America".

Do they do "write-in" voting anymore? Any suggestions? If enough people would do write-in on an Independent candidate it could upset the apple cart big time. hee hee

pat would be a good candidate. this is one guy who is sick of the BLEEP. and won't be a party to the maddness anymore. the people of this country will get the government they deserve. be it a man that is black by choice or and old fool who's service to his country is not in guestion but his ideology and judgement are. those who serve and those who are not entitled to lead. and when i here the word change it makes my skin crawl. with so many un happy cry babies in this country today i'm not sure the changes that brought us to this point socially were good. now if someone said let's go back to where we went wrong and fix this i would look at them. but this same tired BLEEP i will fight for your handout. wears me out. fight who? go to bar and get in a fight for my wright to smoke,go to the court house fight for my privacy, how about my wright free speach, and stop the sezuire of assets without due process. just a thought.

Koo, you are right that there is a lot that needs "fixing". So many have forgotten how to live by the "golden rule": "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." It seems now it's all about ME and MY "rights". Then you have the activists who are first in line to scream for the "rights" of those who bring harm to others and their "rights". And if I don't happen to agree with someones lifestyle, God forbid I voice my opinion because that is certainly cause for a protest!

No one...that is the simple answer. Government has grown to be an unkillable monster. The office of the presidency has mor epower and responsibility than it should have.

The only thing that could solve our problem would be another revolution either through war with the government and hope the citizen soliders support the citizens and not the government. Or through some mass revolution of voting out every single person in office now.

Either way none of these will ever happen

independant. If anyone wants to correspond directly with me you can do so at jstol3@netzero.com. I see myself as both a conservative and a conservationist. I despise wastefulness but I don't want environmentalists telling me how to live my life. I'm all for a free market system except when it comes to energy. This is a monopoly thast needs to be regulated! I diverge from most conservatives when it comes to abortion and stem cell research as I belive in freedom of choice and scientific progress as I believe that we were given a brain to think with. Knee jerk reactions and one issue politics turn me off. I am both a Vietnam veteran and former Vietnam war protester (we should have been allowed to win). I am an advocate of the war in Iraq (as long as we do what we have to to win) and the war on terror.
