That just about says it all as far as I'm concerned.

If this guy gets elected we can forget the possibility of good times for a very long time to come!

i agree we can't have a man with his beliefs or back ground running our country. i am afraid that if he makes president i am moving to the house in any other country.

Those who share his political philosophy frequently make decisions that are poorly thought out and ramifications are not even considered. So it will be with this election.

Obama and his supporters will,if successful, make this country one that none of us will recognize in 4 years. We will be a socialist republic, open immigration with continued outsourcing of jobs, sky high taxes to pay for all the government programs and a military stripped of equipment and strength. If we survive at all as a country, it will be a miracle.

Does anyone else notice he never defines the "change" he keeps promising? Not all change is good.

We already are all those things, MissNancy, but under Bush we've also become a police state with no civil liberties.

Both parties have allowed our governemnt to become ineffective.. Time for americans to take back our government and remove all of them from office. A vote this year for Obama or McCain is a vote for the same BS we have seen the last 20 years.

Um...we already have that with Bush in command and higher gas prices, food prices, foreclosures and loss of jobs to boot.

You are condemning Obama on what you THINK will happen when you see what Bush has already done and think he is wonderful.

Rabbit -
This blog isn't about Bush. It's about Obama. Obama didn't know that Pakistan is an ally. He was going to bomb tham - remember? Obama has not told us what his plans are for America.(What does "HOPE AND CHANGE MEAN")? Obama is another Jimmy Carter - he has no idea what he is doing>

ok...if you go back and listen to his speeches he actually does go into detail about what "change" means...and to "Yvonda"..wow um.. "his beliefs and his background" um apparently some people have fallen victim to that ridiculous email going around saying that he's a muslim that's trying to trick us blah blah blah...ok his dad is muslim, yes, but his dad wasn't even around to raise him... Barack Obama was raised by his WHITE, CHRISTIAN grandparents! Yeah, hard to believe, I know, but yes, for those of you who think he's going to come into office and turn into some reverse racist black panther man...no...not gonna happen...he's an extremely well-educated man that is an amazing people person which as far as war and terrorism go(which I know isn't the most important thing) he's going to be the one person that can come into office and meet with these radical muslim leaders and get them to see his point of view because he's not some "gun-totin' cowboy" that's just gonna come in and tell them what to do because that is what you call an empire and if history has taught anyone anything it's that all empires must fall at some point. So instead of being an empire we need to work together with other countries and I don't know one way that I look at it, that my mom taught me growing up is "keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer" that's what I think we need to do with the terrorist countries to some extent. Back to Obama...don't judge a book by it's cover or in his case by propaganda that his rivals are passing along...do some "real" research before checking him off your list

jp -

The only people I can get an answer from about Obama's plans are those who don't support him! LOL. I know the guy has charisma and his "worshippers" feel good when they listen to him (so could a good preacher make them feel good. but most preachers would make lousey presidents).

I want one of his "worshippers" to tell me: 1. What he is going to do and: 2. How he is going to accomplish it.

Well there is one on my blog - "jp's oasis" but she's tired of defending him. This is a rather conservative blog overall, so I can understand why.

But if you popped in and asked real nice... LOL

There are no more separations in the parties. They are all Republicrats. The Constitution is gone no matter who gets in.

If the democrats say Bush is a figure head with now power who do you think is responsible for the state of our country? He can not even veto a bill or take off earmarks. All he can do is be Commander in Chief. So you do better asking who really sank our country and cost us our jobs. Actually you should go LOOK IT UP. Bush can not be a useless figure head with no power and still destroy our country. That is a two headed coin. You flip it and only the person calling heads wins. So far it hasn't been Bush. A person with no power has no power to make changes, so who made them? When did they change? In the last year and a half. Note that today Hallmark said they are closing up shop in the US too. Funn it happened after the democratic primary. They are going overseas now too.

Bush can't run again. Some people are saying that McCain is so much like Bush that electing him would be like having a third Bush term.

Person - I thought you resigned from this site - Welcome Back!

What an entertaining election and campaign it will be. Better than Oprah and Springer combined.

independant. If anyone wants to correspond directly with me you can do so at jstol3@netzero.com. I see myself as both a conservative and a conservationist. I despise wastefulness but I don't want environmentalists telling me how to live my life. I'm all for a free market system except when it comes to energy. This is a monopoly thast needs to be regulated! I diverge from most conservatives when it comes to abortion and stem cell research as I belive in freedom of choice and scientific progress as I believe that we were given a brain to think with. Knee jerk reactions and one issue politics turn me off. I am both a Vietnam veteran and former Vietnam war protester (we should have been allowed to win). I am an advocate of the war in Iraq (as long as we do what we have to to win) and the war on terror.
