JAY NIXON AND THE OIL COMPANIES

I see that Jay Nixon is lying to the electorate again. His ads say that he "prosecuted the oil companies for price goughing". Nothing could be further from the truth!

I have personally sent Jay numerous emails starting with the runup in the price of gasoline immediatly following hurricane Katrina. Jay's responses were always that he could only prosecute individual retail outlets AND only if they were charging more than 16 cents above the national average per gallon for gas.

Jay Nixon may have prosecuted a handful of gas station operators who overstepped the price boundary BUT HE NEVER, NEVER WENT AFTER THE OIL COMPANIES! He lacks the intestinal fortitude to take on anyone that he is unsure of beating!!!

BS talks and BS can walk, amazing isn't it. Your not hired on your abilities anymore, that has been proven with our presidential electives, more like a popularity contest rather than a presidential race, it trickles down to every state and local office, right.

I went to the Nixon website and found the commercial; I watched it.
Honestly, and I'm trying to be impartial, I don't see how the dialogue can be construed as anything but an OUT RIGHT LIE.
This is the sort of political commercial that EVERY news media should be calling Nixon out.
Shame, Shame, Shame, Shame.

Hey, I have a comparison for Mr. Nixon, I'm an attorney, so that must make me The Attorney General!!!

bigbird, I believe the media has named it appropriately "Mr popularity" and what are the abilities that he will be bringing to the table, does that include his verbal statement of 57 states? Muslim background? No, that is his relatives, and children learn nothing from their relatives, right. Can you say good motivational speaker, sorry for you. Is that the change America is waiting for, please. China sold their song by fronting a face, America will be fronting Obama, while the brains will be working in the background.

I despise wastefulness but I don't want environmentalists telling me how to live my life. I'm all for a free market system except when it comes to energy. This is a monopoly thast needs to be regulated! I diverge from most conservatives when it comes to abortion and stem cell research as I belive in freedom of choice and scientific progress as I believe that we were given a brain to think with. Knee jerk reactions and one issue politics turn me off. I am both a Vietnam veteran and former Vietnam war protester (we should have been allowed to win). I am an advocate of the war in Iraq (as long as we do what we have to to win) and the war on terror.
