If you haven't heard about this yet,

You need to read on.......

Here is a web site to review ( www. fairtax.org)

I would really like to get this message out to the people, you know we all over

pay in our taxes. We pay taxes when we buy everything we buy now, the way

this will work we will still pay our taxes, this is not a way to stop

paying taxes just pay them in a different way. This plan also feeds our

retirement program by a % of every dollar we and every tourist who visit our

country and spends their money will contribute. Let me just give you few

different points,

The fair tax...

Is a federal consumption tax of 23 cents out of every dollar retail purchases?

Raises the same amount of revenue for the federal government

Creates jobs, where the current system destroys jobs

Gives you your paycheck free of federal withholding

Eliminates the payroll tax- our most regressive federal tax

Provides a monthly  prebate that ends taxes up to the poverty level

Taxes the trillion-dollar underground economy

Eliminates all FICA taxes, including employer contributions

Give you control of 100% of your paycheck

Abolishes the IRS

Eliminates all corporate and self-employment taxes

Eliminates all gift, estate, and capital gains taxes

Restores financial privacy to all citizens

Ensures Social Security funding

And replaces all federal government revenues with a national sales tax on only

new goods and services at the retail level!

Look at the jobs and companies that will open up here!

Wow, lets not let the lobbyist tell us this will not work, after all it will

cut out a lot of their power over us.

Would you like to help me in letting the people know about the Fair tax -

HR25/S 25

It's not to late to save social security, and surely it would be

something for our children

Let’s get started!!!

Thank you for your time,

Bob & Judy Whitlock

...If it's implemented it will actually be 30% sales tax and will hurt the poor and middle class the most. 30% starts to really add up when you're talking buying a car or a house.

...This "fair tax" or consumption tax (as opposed to the income tax) is the same monster by a different name, and it also opens the door wide for a carbon tax, an international tax giving power to the UN and infringing on our national sovereignty.

...We don't need the federal income tax or the fair tax if we cut spending, namely on the war. Neither of these taxes pay for roads, schools, etc, as most people think, but goes toward paying merely a portion of the interest on the national debt.

...Overall we give roughly half our income to one tax or another, this includes inflation which is a tax inflicted by the federal reserve devaluing our currency by creating money out of thin air. Stop the madness and stop paying federal income taxes. There is no law that requires you to file, but once you file you're binded to that contractual agreement for that year. Don't fear these vigilantly counterfitting crooks, google up some info and learn about it, I suggest the film, "Freedom to Fascism" as a good place to start.

I think that Westly Snipes would not agree with you about paying paxes and no matter how you look at it .23 of a dollar is not 30%.How do you figure that the fair tax will hurt the poor and the middle class, have you not read the info. on the fair tax. I am a lowermiddle class person and I can not wait for it.

...The first problem is that the true rate to reach revenue neutrality is unknown, and unknowable in advance. Changing the rules on such a massive scale will lead to unpredictable consequences. Fair Tax advocates call it a 23% sales tax, calculating a "tax inclusive" rate to make it sound less frightening.

...The President's Tax Advisory Council estimated that a 34% rate would be needed. The Brookings Institute pegged the needed rate at 39%. Other independent groups have said the true rate could be even higher.

...To get to the lowest rate possible, the Fair Tax would have to be levied on all purchases of goods and services at the retail level. New $300,000 house? Tack on another 90 grand. New $25,000 car? Add another $7,500 to that check.

...Do you think health insurance is too expensive today? How will you afford it when it costs 30% more? Will restaurants suffer when patrons see another 30% tacked onto the bill? Maybe not, since groceries will cost 30% more as well.

...The Fair Tax would exempt wholesale purchases, and sales of used items, to prevent double taxation. This is a laudable goal, but opens the door to widespread fraud.

...Sham businesses would be created to sell "used" goods that weren't really used, and an underground black market economy would undoubtedly ensue.

The price of products will go down when the price of doing busines goes down. If you think that where will only be fraud after the fair tax you need to look around.

I am just another hard working American that believes we can not keep pushing the business community out of this country. I believe in closing the border.I believe it is the rich people that keep this country going.I believe that giving people a hand out just keeps their hand out.I believe that giving a person a hand up gives them their pride back.I believe we need to give the fair tax a try, come on people lets work together for a change.
