It will never cease to amaze me how the drive by media Changes its views when it wants to try to look good. When Mr Ford was president the media never stopped trying to make a fool out of Mr.Ford. When he pardoned Mr.Nixion the media went ballistic and never stopped trying to discredit him and called him an ediot. This a man who was at the top of his Harvad law class. With the exception of Fox,Cnn,Cbs,Nbc,Abc makes me want to throw things at the tv. I had gotten out of college in 67 and remember this well. Look at the disaster the Carter administration was. President Ford reast in peace.

Ford Pardons ONE guy and he’s vilified for THAT forever........

In the last days of his presidency in January 2001, Bill Clinton granted 140 pardons and commuted 36 sentences. Many of the pardoned parties were convicted felons who allegedly paid large fees to Clinton family members and associates.

Clinton does THIS and they campaign for HIM to take THE top position in the U.N.

140 to 1.………Just about the multiples of SCANDALS in the Clinton Presidentcy compared to Nixon too. Nor did NIXON have SO many people close to HIS Presentcy. ( who could testify ) DIE mysteriously………………………………...............................

And THAT’S not even counting the HILLARY Scandals……………………………

Hawkeye you got that right!! If you could get the correct people to testify they both would go to jail. Nixon was trying to find out what the democrats were up to with watergate. This was not national security. He wanted to know what dirty tricks they were up to because they were up to some....Clinton type tricks. Shakespear said in McBeth "the evile that men do lives after them,the good is often intured with the bones. Praise Nixon for the good he did and let the rest go.

As long as I have lived, the only people I have ever heard speak ill or harshly about Mr. Gerald Ford were Democrats and their sycophant media following.

Sure, Richard Nixon screwed up royally trying to IMITATE the Democrats' tactics. It's a pity - he probably would not have been bad for America.

"He wasn't doing anything the Democrats hadn't done" is not why Mr. President Ford pardoned him. Nor was it because he was a Republican.

Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon in the interest of ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS, who (I believe) he had on his heart at all times. If he had not, the Democrat leadership and what we now call "the drive by media" would have kept this Nation in a much worse uproar than we now see.

Mr. President Gerald Ford loved America, and America should love and respect his memory.

Arky51--AMEN...Watch what happens now. The drive by media will start publishing everything that he disagreed with President Bush with. It has already started with thr Iraq war. They media won't be able to speak negatively about the dead,but President Bush is so hated by the media that they will quickly turn back on him. America screwed its self by putting the Democrats back in power and now America will get the screwing it voted for.(Jimmy Carter) Remember????????

As a Human Being, Jimmy Carter has always been a nice guy. A real Humanitarian.

But, as a politician? Jimmy Carter is as bad as Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Streisand rolled into one bundle with a little Alec Baldwin on the side.

And his theology has taken a dark turn, as well.

Yes, I remember.

Arky51 Carters theology turn dark when he let hate take over because he lost re-election. He and his wife have never forgiven Americans for that.He created his own white house in Georgia where his wife made that statement to a reporter in
georgia. We were fortunate to get Ronald Reagen to get us out of the mess Carter left. Whats your view on why Republicans didn't vote and let Democrates take over. It seems character and morals have given over to flash and dash. Iraq couldn't be the only reason.

Thanks for the comments fellows. This situation is a disaster. Liberals want to cut and run. Most of them want america to lose because the hate Bush that bad. Moderates want to go back to appeasement. The rest of us want to kick "BUTT" and have a victory by turning all our might loose. Democrats want to lose,Republicans don't know how to win,. Lincoln said "the world would little note or remember what we say or do hear". This is the truth now. You understand the mess?
