Last night I watched the All Star race for Nascar. My favorite driver has been in a slump for almost two years! Kasey Kahne has not won a race since 2006. Last night he finally won. Even though this was not a points race he did manage to bring home the million dollar prize! Not only that, he beat the odds from the get go. He wasn't eligable to be in the race, he didn't race his way in with the shoot out. But was voted in the All stars by his loyal fans! He didn't let them down.......... I for one am very happy for Kasey! Go #9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is a day of heart break for our family. Me personally have never been faced with such a feeling of helplessness in my life. There is not a more awful emotion a person can have. You see my ex husbands step son lives in China. He is married and his wife had a child a few weeks ago. This child was born with a very serious heart defect and was in dire need of surgery. China has no health insurance at all. It's pay as you go. The family had to take a cab 250 miles to the nearest hospital for all of tests which confirmed his defect. The tests and the cab fair drained there account. The child was scheduled for surgery and the parents were left to figure out how to get the money. They had 40% but needed it all for the hospital to proceed. My ex husband and his wife wired the rest of the money to a bank in China, and needless to say the money did not arrive. Not only did it not arrive in time but as of yet still isn't there. The child was basically thrown out of the hospital. As of last night the child's grandmother came to pick them up for the long 250 mile ride back to there home. All I can do is picture the mother of this child holding her son waiting for his last breath. Knowing that he will most likely not survive the trip home. Hopelessness. My heart aches waiting for that dreaded phone call today, and when it comes I know I will be lost in the hopelessness of a lost child.

Beware of the 0% credit card offers and the one year same as cash. Within the last few years I have found that some credit cards have a new scam. It's called a 20 day billing cycle. Which means you no longer have a once a month payment due on the same date every month. If you so happen to be late with one of these cards you will be slapped with huge interest and late fees and you no longer have 0%. I first noticed this when my husband bought me a ring from a jewely store. 12 months no interest. We figured out how much to send each month that would assure the ring would be paid off in 12 months. Six months into it I noticed the due date had changed without notice. When I called I was informed that my billing had been in error for six months and I should have been getting billed every twenty days! I was outraged! Most stores offering these 12 months do this now. One card is called GE Moneybank. Jewelers, HHGregg and the like use this company. I also checked into some others that I find do the same thing. Main stream cards like Sears Mastercard, and Fifth Third. Beware of this new card policy. If caught off gaurd it can cost you a lot of money!

Did anyone else see the news last night concerning the abuses of the Cleveland city hospitals and ambulances? This is a prime example why I am so outraged about government moochers. Who the heck calls for an ambulance because they have (hymoroids)? Everytime one of these people call for an ambulance for something ridiculous it costs the tax payers well over a thousand dollars, and there's thousands of them doing it. Not to mention the fact that someone who actually needs an ambulance and needs to go to the hospital can sit and wait. This is one of the many reasons our health care costs are out of control. These people should be ashamed. That one woman had no pride what so ever telling everyone that she left the hospital after waiting too long to go home and call an ambulance for something ridiculous only to get there again and wait again! People are treated by emergency status. Not first come first serve. Our hospitals are over run with moochers who clog up our health care systems with BS. I personally am not interested in paying for an ambulance ride and a hospital bill because some moocher has wax build up in there hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who believes in UFO'S? Well I can say that I thought I saw one but if it was an actual alien craft, Who knows. I was less than 10 but I don't remember my actual age. I remember waking in the middle of the night. I looked out my window. Behind my house was a field with a very large tree in the middle. I saw something that I have always thought was a UFO. It was shaped as a saucer. It had a small red light on the top, a row of small lights around the center, and a small red light on the bottom. It was circling this tree. It must have been small enough that it would disapear behind the leaves of the tree. It went around several times. I remember being so scared I was affraid to stop looking or getting my parents. It seemed to be there for a long time, and then all of a sudden it just took off. I really actually knew if I actually saw this or it was just a dream. I do know that I never forgot what it looked like. So I was just wondering if anyone else has thought they saw something like this too. Of course I am also prepared for the jokes LOL. But seriously............

Thruout my life time I have been around many types of people. I've been a bartender, a factory worker, a house keeper, waitress and most importantly a mother. I have never really had any problems with anyone ( except my kids LOL) I think being respectful is one of the most important traits a person can have. Being a woman I have always been respectful and I've always acted like a lady in my places of employment. I'm not saying that I used being a woman as an excuse not to do my job. I'm saying that I behaved like a lady. The worst thing I've seen is woman who do not act like ladies and especially speak like a sailor. I personally think that's disgusting. But that's just me. I have worked with men and women and most races as well. Again I've never had any problems in that area either. I'm not saying that I've not run across rude people or disrespectful people because I have. But I found thru lifes experiences that if I remained respectful to these people they eventually became respectful to me. My point is being respectful at all times almost always brings respect in return. Sometimes it takes a little more work but it does work. You can never controll anyone else behavior but you can always control your own.

Before I get started on my rant I would like to say that I am not including mentally or physically handicapped children. Or children who were seriously ill or injured during school. I am talking about the average child who goes to school for 13 years to ultimately receive a diploma. In recent years I have been doing some digging in to school policies and proceedures concerning graduation. I must say that I have never been so disgusted with the school and the parents in my life! Is anyone familiar with programs such as Taps and Life Skills? These programs are set up for children who go thru school each year that fail. These failing children are put into these programs to achieve a diploma. High schools do not hold a failing child back. They pass them on to the next grade every year. Then in the 11th or beginning of 12th grade they are placed in these programs. In some cases the child can do a hour up to three hours of work a day to make up years worth of failed work plus pass the year they are in! Not to mention they receive schood credits for working! Um our country already has an abundance of pizza makers and McDonalds employees!!!!!!! In the life skills program these children are sent to (in my school district it's Akron) one day a week to learn how to take care of themselves. Things such as house work, laundry, shopping, etc. Isn't this the parents job? Not to mention these children also earn school credits for working!!!!!!!!!! What a slap in the face to the children that work hard for there diplomas. The schools and parents should be embarrassed, but nope they are not. All they care about is the government funding if it's the school, and the empty diploma if it's the parent. Another prime example of the dumbing down of America!

My husband and i went to the Skynyrd concert last night. I must say that it was pretty good for a band that's been around for 30 years! The one thing I was a little surprised about was the amount of young children there. Under 10. I really do not feel that it was a good idea to bring children to that type of concert. There was a lot of drinking and pot smoking going on. Not the type of environment that I would take my children to. But I guess that is just me.

Today was my first day on my new job. I was hired last Thursday to start on Monday. This weekend my daughter told me of a horrible accident that had killed her fiance's parents neighbor. The poor man was killed by an alleged drunk driver on the way home from work. His job being a police officer. He was a husband and a father of three. I was very sad for his family, and just thought to myself "another life lost because of an idiot." Well the purpose of this story was because when I started my new job today everyone was talking about the employee who worked there who had been in a horrible accident and who was in intensive care. The more I heard them talk the more I realized that this employee was the same person who was involved and who had killed this man my daughter had told me about earlier. I could not believe how close this whole awful tragedgy was to me from both sides. I was not involved but seemed to land right in the middle of it. How sad that this young man that seemed to have everything going his way made a continuing mistake that took a life and if he survives, it will have changed his life forever. This was to close for comfort and it just made me realize: Wow it is a small world.

I had such an awsome time last night at the Def Leppard concert. I must say people haven't changed much though. You still had the staff hauling out the drunken fans on stretchers!!!! Actually it was quite fun to watch! What a concert! Styx wasn't too bad either. Well hope all are having a great day.

Another night race. Finally Jeff Gordon isn't on the pole. Or for that matter not even close. I'm happy to say that both my favorite drivers are up front. Carl Edwards is 4th and Kasey Kahne is 5th. Hopefully they'll give me a good show to watch. I hope everyone enjoys the race. As usual good luck to all. Go # 9!

Richmond International Raceway. A short track. Not one of my personal favorites. But another night race makes it easier to get things done before the race. Jeff Gordon is on the pole AGAIN:( I can't believe it. But my #9 is in 5th spot. Good luck to Kasey. He sure needs some. Hope everyone that likes Nascar enjoys the race. As usual good luck to all. Go # 9 ! ! ! ! !
