As an icon of weird story telling, Stephen King has made our skin crawl and our hearts pound, but not like mine is now! Why? Because I'm hopping mad at this goober! Read the quote below, watch the clip and join me below that.
At a writers symposium for high school students Stephen King said...
"I don't want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV but the fact is that if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don't, then you got the army, Iraq, I don't know, something like that. It's not as bright. So that's my little commercial for that."

WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING? Is he really calling our troops illiterate and stupid? This is the kind of elitist crap that fills the liberal left! This bobbleheaded bookworm owes his very livelihood to people willing to defend his freedoms to the death if necessary! I know Mr King has suffered head injuries lately but has his brain slid out of an open wound or something? A few years ago I reached a point where the brainless boobs of entertainment caused me to make a list (in my head) of the people I just wont watch or patronize anymore. You know, your basic Alec Baldwin, Barbara Streisand, Rosie O'Donnell types. Welcome to my list Mr King! You are among the best of the worst now!

WE ALL HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY!
Now that I have your attention, let me explain what I mean.
I hear a lot of people moaning about not having health insurance. Has anyone ever stopped to think how much money people waste these days on frivolous crap? By crap I mean,
Cell Phones,
Computers,
Internet (broadband),
Video Games,
DVDs,
MP3 Players,
Big Screen TVS,
Cable TV,
Cell Phones for KIDS,
Eating out 4x a week,
and all the other stuff we just dont need to have!
That's right, we dont need to have these things! Buy them if you want but when you dont have the money to buy health insurance, go look in your livingroom at your new 61" Sony and tell me if it's worth it!
Our parents and grand parents, didn't have all the extra crap we now see as a "must haves"! They also had plenty of money for things like insurance and a word most people have never heard of.......SAVINGS! I don't have a cell phone, my video game is a used PS1 and my TV is a 18 year old 27" Sony with a great picture on it! My only luxury is this PC and my FiOS. Ok ok, I do a classic car in the garage but I have had it for 28 years! So when it comes to money for insurance, I have nothing to moan about.
LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS PEOPLE!
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put some money in my savings account!

Ok.....A lot has been said about how Rev Wright has hurt Barack Obama's campaign for the Democratic nomination but there is something fishy about his latest comments and Obam's reply.
Let's analize this a bit.
When the poo hit the fan about Rev Wright's comments from the pulpit, barack Obama seemed to blow it off like it was no big deal. The comments have actually taken their toll on the campaign. So now Obama has a problem. Does he now come out and condem the comments from the first blow up and look like a hypocrite or does he keep ignoring them and hope Rev Wright goes away?
This is the fishy part so pay attention!
Obama needed Wright to say something else stupid so he will have a fresh reason to denounce him and not look like a hypocrite over the 1st round of Wright comments!
How lucky for him that Wright spoke at of all places but the "National Press Club"! He made a complete fool of himself and gave Obama a new reason to "Officially denounce him." Any idiot can see that Barack and Wright set this opportunity up from the start! Rev Wright is taking the fall for his buddy by keeping his big mouth flapping! The part of all the comments at the press club that smell the worst are these.
Rev Wright was asked by the moderator:
"Are you disappointed that Senator Obama has chosen to walk away from you?"
His answer was this:
"Whoever wrote that question doesn't read or watch the news. He did not denounce me. "
Like a T-ball player up to bat, Obama now replies:
"I catigorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to devide us from our allies."
That was too easy a set up! Rev Wright isn't that stupid is he? Is he so stupid as to go off in front of the National Press Club? I think not! Obama and Wright surely planned these comments at the Press Club and the replies to follow. It was Obama's last chance to officially shake off the damage Wright has caused. You watch, now that Obama has "denounced" him, Wright will shut up and you wont hear from him until after the convention or November if Obama gets that far! One way or the other, they'll make up and hold hands again but it will be a while!
I'm not falling for the song and dance these two are doing. I just hope the American public see's through this attempt to deflect and misdirect the heat of the past few weeks!

I was watching TV the other night and this commercial came on for a new heartburn drug called "AcipHex". Looks like something you would name a drug right? That is until you hear how they pronounce it in the commercial. I swear it sounds like they are saying "Ass Affects"! What boardroom bozo approved this name and worse yet the TV commercial? I really do think they are running out of names for these new drugs! What's next? A hemmorrhoid cream called "SphincterAll"? *LMAO*

Today I'm reading a news story about a new proposed tax that California voters are being asked to approve.
I find it hard to even type this next bit without smashing my keyboad so please bare with me. ***taking several deep breaths....and continue***
The new tax is to help fight ***gulping air*** GLOBAL WARMING! The "climate change mitigation and adaptation fee" as it's being called is to fund public transportation and they claim it would generate some $400 million dollars a year. The fee would be generated from, get this part, gasoline taxes of $.09 per gallon at the pumps or an EXTRA $90 in vehicle registration! Just when I think they have lost their minds out west, they prove me even more right!
I have been more than clear in my blogs that I think global warming or whatever they call it this week is a load of crap. My question now is if asked, what would you say to a tax like this? You all know it's only a matter of time before we are asked to do the same thing. As much as I like Gov Charlie Crist, ( I voted for him and would again), he has fallen for this myth and I'm sure he'll propose or back such a tax here.
So, I'll ask again, would you approve it? Or would you tell them where to stick their global warming tax?
Here's a gift for Mr Rickles (you know who you are)*lol* http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/04/should-drivers.html

Tonight, Saturday March 29th the world will participate in "Earth Hour". That is to say, more than 20 cities around the world will switch off their lights for one hour at 8:00pm EST, in a climate change awareness event. WHAT? You have to be joking? This is what you get when hippies grow up! Meaningless garbage designed to make those who join in feel good. They claim this event will "Raise Awareness" of the subject of Global Warming. Note that they now call it Climate Change because they have warn out Global Warming. But anyway, do they really think that people haven't heard of this topic and need to be made aware? Unless you live in the the middle of the African savana and have no access to news, I'm sure that EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT! Also, you wouldn't have lights to turn off to show you are now aware, so what is this going to achive? NOTHING! Another thing that shows how meaningless this is, they only have about 20 cities taking part. 20 cities out of thousands of cities world wide? That's a huge joke!
If you are as sick of the Global Warming wackos as I am, this is what I want you to do.
TURN ON ALL YOUR LIGHTS!
I don't care if it cost me another $10 in electric tonight, I'm going to do it! Let them know when they see your lights burning that you haven't fallen for this crap that's being shoved in our faces day in and day out!
I'm calling this event "Anti-Earth Hour!" Not that I'm anti-Earth, because I'm not. I'm just anti this meaningless hour of feel good mumbo jumbo!

Hillary Clinton's latest claim is that on March 25, 1996 while landing at an airport in Tuzla Bosnia, she came under sniper fire and had to run for her life. Rather than me tell you about it, here's a quote from the woman herself.
"I remember landing under sniper fire,..." "There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
She is using this to sound like she has experience under fire. LITERALLY! The fact is though that this NEVER HAPPEND! It's a bold faced lie! And now she claims she misspoke! How is this possible? She can't remember clearly if she was being SHOT AT? She's so bold in her lies that she thinks the people with her will not say a word as to what really happened. The Actor comedian Sinbad was with her when she exited the plane and he has said this story never happened. Hillary's reply to that is "Sinbad is a comedian." Come on Hillary! You can do better than that. You are a liar!
Here's the photo to prove it!
This photo was taken as she got off the plane and was greeted by an 8-year-old Muslim girl, Emina Bicakcic! And look! It's Chelsea "Mini Me" with her!
HILLARY CLINTON IS A BOLD FACED LIAR!
I would love to hear someone try to defend this lie!

I just saw this disturbing report on the here on the Fox 13 website. It's about the push to make bullying illegal. WHAT? Are you kidding me? They want to make illegal, and I quote, "Teasing, humiliation, excluding someone from the group"! WHAT? Are you kidding me? I mean come on people. I know kids have a few more techno gadgets to bully that my generation never had, the internet and Myspace etc but this is too much.
Teasing, humiliation, excluding someone from the group are not crimes. It's normal for people and or groups to do this. It might not be right and friendly but it's not a crime! The first two are wrong under any situation but the last one, excluding someone from the group is the right of the group. If I or a group I belong to, don't want to associate with someone for any reason, that's my right. There were a lot of groups I wish i could have been in but wasn't welcome. I didn't cry about it or shoot up a school or worse yet, do myself in. I remember this kid in high school that didn't bathe too often. No one wanted to be around him except the other stinky kids. If this new law goes into effect, would a group have to associate with him even if they dont want to? If we had this law when I was in school, would Stinky be able to get us arrested or fined just because we didn't want him in our group? Thinking about that more, just what will the punishment/s be?
We have laws against asalt and slander and that enough to protect our kids from bullies. It's up to parents to raise their kids with enough backbone to stand up to bullies and have enough self worth to shrug off the barbs that EVERYONE faces from time to time. This proposed legislation is just plain stupid! And I'll tease anyone who thinks otherwise and not let you in my group! *lol*

I found a great article on the climate and how it's actually getting colder. The article is not on some wacked out no credit website. It's on the Washington times website!
http://www.washingtontimes.com/article/20071219/COM
MENTARY/10575140
The article is titled "Year of global cooling" and it's dated December 19th 2007! Well worth the read and no techno babble at all. We should make our kids print this out and bring it to science class! See what the teachers say then!

According to an article on Yahoo! finance, a couple of our candidates for president support automatic manditory enrollment of workers into IRA and 401k retirement accounts. Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama support such a plan. Each worker in the country would be signed up for a retirement plan. Sounds good on the surface huh? Let's think this through though. How do these plans work now? Firstly, you have to want to have the plan and second, you have to put part of your paycheck in these accounts. When you put money in these accounts, normally your employer matches a portion of these funds. In a goverment mandatory enrollment plan, you would have to participate even if you can't afford to put funds away for retirement. Let's face it, not everyone earns an income that allows for manditory savings. And what about the small business that will now have to match these funds? Or will the government be matching the funds and if so, how will WE pay for it? Higher taxes? When you hear a candidate say they are giving you something for free or making something manditory, think it through and think about how it will effect your wallet and the wallet of the person who fills yours, your employer! Nothing the government gives you is ever free! When the government or a politician says free, they most often mean "taxes to come".
The article I mentioned above is at: http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeting/article/104

Hey Paul and the gang!
When are you gous going to talk about the Maunder Minimum (little ice age) and the Midevial Warming period? These highs and lows in the history of weather were worse than today's spike. Also, isn't it true that solar output has gone up and the other planets are warming right along with us? Give me some info to help fight the "Global Warming" banner wavers when I meet them!
Thanks!
Sunny days to you all!

I dont know about you, but what the Titan's Albert Haynesworth did to the Cowboys' Andre Gurode in that game on Sunday was unexcusable! Stomping a guy in the head with cleats while he's on the ground...without a helmet? COME ON! Big woop, he said he was sorry afterward. They shouldn't just fine him or make him sit out a few games, they should send him home for good! As in kick him out of the NFL! FOREVER! What are we teaching our children if they don't? We'll be teaching them that it's ok to play dirty as long as you say you are sorry......and can aford the fine!
