A LETTER TO OUR MILITARY HEROES

DEAR TROOPS,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SELFLESS ACT OF DEFENDING THIS COUNTRY. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME THE FREEDOM TO SPEAK WHAT I FEEL AND STATE MY OPINIONS EVEN THOUGH SOME MAY NOT AGREE. THANK YOU FOR PUTTING YOUR LIVES ON THE LINE SO I MAY LIVE A LIFE OF FREEDOM . THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING OFF THE ENEMY THAT HAD TAKEN AWAY MY SENSE OF SECURITY, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROTECTION.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR BRAVERY , YOUR LOVE FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND FOR CARING ENOUGH TO TREAD THROUGH HELL IN HOPES OF ONE DAY BRINGING PEACE TO THIS WORLD.

WITHOUT MEN AND WOMEN SUCH AS YOURSELVES, THERE WOULD BE NO PROTECTION FROM TERRORISM, NO FREEDOM, NO LIFE. I KNOW YOU ONLY CONSIDER YOUR FELLOW SOLDIERS THAT DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY, HEROES.  I BELIEVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU ARE HEROES, YOU ARE MY HEROES. 

HEROES ARE NOT SPORTS PLAYERS, HOLLYWOOD ACTORS, OR CHARACTERS IN A COMIC MAGAZINE OR VIDEO GAME, ETC.. HEROES ARE PEOPLE SUCH AS YOURSELF THAT SELFLESSLY WILL GIVE THEIR LIFE TO SAVE AND PROTECT A LIFE.

PLEASE KNOW THAT THE SELFISH PEOPLE HERE IN THE U.S. THAT PROTEST THIS WAR AND PROTEST OUR NEED FOR YOU, DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME. THEY ARE SELFISH, MISINFORMED TRAITORS AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. THEY SHOULD BE STRIPPED OF THEIR RIGHTS TO BE AN AMERICAN, THE SAME RIGHTS YOU AND OUR FOREFATHERS HAVE FOUGHT FOR. 

 I KNOW EVERY ONE OF YOU WOULD DISAGREE AND SAY IT'S YOUR JOB TO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY SO THAT THEY MAY VOICE THEIR OPINION. ANOTHER SELFLESS ACT ON YOUR PART. I CAN'T HELP BUT DEFEND YOU BY SAYING THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS WHEN THEY SPIT ON THE ONES THAT FIGHT FOR THEM. THEY OPEN WOUNDS FOR TERRORISM TO EXIST BY SHOWING THEIR  WEAKNESS IN UNITY. THEIR LACK OF UNITY SHOWS ONLY UNITY WITH TERRORISM. THEY ARE TOO OBTUSE TO REALIZE THAT OTHER COUNTRIES SEE OUR WEAKNESS AND WILL TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACT ON IT. NO MATTER WHAT THEY BELIEVE, SOME THINGS ARE BETTER LEFT UNSAID, ESPECIALLY DURING THIS COUNTRY'S CRISIS. THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN  TERRORISTS AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. THEY CAUSE TERRORISM WITH THEIR PROTESTS AND WIDESPREAD PROPAGANDA.  

 I KNOW IN MY HEART, AS LONG AS OUR MILITARY IS STRONG, TERRORISM WILL NOT PREVAIL. I AM NEITHER A LIBERAL OR A CONSERVATIVE, I'M A PROUD AMERICAN THAT IS PROUD OF EVERY SINGLE MILITARY MAN AND WOMAN, THE HEROES THAT EXIST.  ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU AND KNOW THAT THE MAJORITY THINK THE SAME WAY AS MYSELF. 

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.

TY criesen!!!, too bad yellowdog and moonowl don't feel the same, since their opinions don't count to me, i will continue to delete their comments and any others that don't agree. this is my way of stripping the freedom of speech away from people that bite the very hand that gave it to them, they don't deserve to be heard.

yes yellowdog, another thing you can not understand because of your stupidity, as i said, you have no rights when you dis our troops, so yes, you can call me a nazi blogger for erasing your stupidity all you want. This is my protest against ignorant A%^holes such as yourself that do not support the men and women that put their lives on the line so that F%^&ers such as yourself can reap the reward of free speech, you do not deserve it!! post again, you'll get erased again...take your hateful stupid A%^ somewhere else!!

Awesome !! I am going to send it to all of "our" Marines. Most people have NO IDEA how much a simple "thanks" means to those guys...

Anyone else want to follow suit with a thanks to some Marines living in some of the most austere conditions imaginable, just post them here and I will collect and disseminate !!

Oh, and, yep, blow it off.. You should see some of the posts that that Chang guy left on my blogs, I just leave them there for comic value ... LOL ... Considering that YD was actually in uniform, I do find it surprising that he would call you a terrorist for supporting the troops regardless of how distasteful he may find their mission.

He must have been army .. LOL

lol!! i erased their nasty comments about our troops, so they decided to gang up on me because i won't let them speak. it's like i said in the letter, they should be stripped of their right of free speech if they spit on the men and women that fight and have fought for those rights. when they say disgusting things about our troops they involve my family and friends, i wouldn't let anyone talk to my family and friends like that, so i put them in their place, if they said in my face, they wouldn't be talking at all. now it's turned into this child's game of BLEEP for tat. i've been layed up in bed w/ the flu, so i'm just passing time..no shirt off my back to torment them the same way they torment everyone else..it makes them go to bed thinking all night..not me, it rolls off my back..i deal with idiotic numbskulls like them everyday..you should see the disgusting post that exiledone wrote, what a scum!!

YF, he probably lied about being in uniform, if he was, then he should know better..he called my blogging terrorism because i wouldn't let him disrespect our troops and i replied 80 x to his posts, childish on my part, i just let him get the best of me after he continued spreading his propaganda on this post when i asked him not to..i have family and friends over there..hey watch what you say about the Army!! LOL!!

I actually have a group of Green Berets who wound up with some stuff I sent to some grunts last year... I kept sending to them after the Marines left... Heck, they are in Colombia now and I support them AND an orphanage down there that they work with ... LOL

I know what you mean about letting them get the best of you.. I let chang and some dolt named TT get the best of me a few times, but then one of my junior Marines brought it to my attention that by arguing with them, I was giving them what they wanted .. attention and a forum ... I am headed to bed but remind me to tell you what happened when I stood right smack dab in the middle of some anti war protesters with my 2 signs... CLASSIC :) It wasn't quite as good as Berkeley because I couldn't get anyone arrested but it was pretty classic

I have found if you just stand there with a sign stating YOUR opinion and won't engage them in a screaming or verbal attack.. it angers them even more.. I LOVE it when the yell so loud spittle comes out of their mouth.. They cannot STAND a PRO TROOPS "protester" who just stands their passively holding their signs

oh i'm through, being laid up in bed has drove me nuts!! so why not make them nuts?? lol!! their minds are so underdeveloped, i think they're still in junior high or something like that. so i felt it neccessary to talk to them on their own level..how about that for_ the_ people guy?? what a wanker!! lol!!! man it's scary to know that people like that exist, no wonder society is so F_D up!!

Have you been to the Colorado blog? I post there also, much more conservative crowd

Believe it or not, 2 years, 60 units and 2600 packages and I have NEVER met any of the guys who we have supported.. LOL. I just met my first oif/oef vet the other day on a fluke at the gym.. go figure

Hi Yank. too bad you did not have the opportunity to actually read my blog. If you see this before the "super smartie" erases it, you'll know the truth.

I NEVER attacked or criticized the troops. I NEVER have, not on you posts or anyplace else.

I did criticize our illustrious "leaders" who lied about body armor and to this day treat returning troops like leftover garbage.

Bo has lied about what I said and unfortuately the deletion makes it impossible to read what I said.

YOU know that I have always supported the men and women in our military. Not only did I volunteer for service in Viet Nam, I have spent the [past 9 years volunteering with the American Red Cross, which has an important support arm for our troops in the AFES program. I hope you see this before Ms Evil hits the delete button.

lol!! i'll leave it since it means so much to you..i wish i hadn't deleted your posts to prove how big of a liar you are..think about it, why would i bother erasing it if you weren't being condescending?? as i said, you lack integrity..stay off my posts, and i'll stay off of yours. how convenient for you to come on here and recant your little story.you start an inferno and all you can do is add more fuel..as i told you in another post..this means a lot more to you, it's the only way you can voice your opinions, because in the real world, you're only a little rat amongst big cats..FEARFUL AND INTIMIDATED...you get the heat from your words and now you can;t take it..i really wish now i hadn't erased your blubber..maybe you said things out of anger towards me, or maybe you didn't realize how it sounded, it was an insult on our troops and it was wrong..if you support our troops, why didn't you put exile in his place after he wrote a digusting letter about them? if everything you say is true about nam and the red cross, you should be agreeing with my letter and disagreeing with exile's...hmmm..makes me believe you are full of it...as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror......

VERY NICE letter mybo! I read some of the blogs, I agree wholeheartedly with you. Just ignore Yellow, he's a waste. It's quite obvious he has beaten his blogs in the ground. I read ExileDone's post, it's not even worth responding to, he's just an imbecile. What a hateful post.

Do yourself a favor and don't stoop to their level. Silence is golden when you are dealing with inept folks such as Yellow and friends.

thanx SD!! you are absolutely right about stooping to their level. i'm going cabin crazy w/ this flu bug and really had nothing better to do, so when i got attacked i attacked backed. for some reason YD thinks he's some angel and doesn't seem to realize how he takes personal cuts on others. he wants to come out smelling like a rose and that's ok, as i said, this means a lot to him...it's the only place he can jack his jaws. where the heck have you been?

YankeeFan and I had a discussion a week or so ago about the "Support the Troops - Bring Them Home" crowd. Or "I Support the Troops But Not the War". HOGWASH!

I wish that I had had the opportunity to see YD and MO's comments. Although I more often than not disagree with them, I have found those two to be the more affable of the bloggers from the other side of the aisle.

You know how I feel about Dick and Dumb (and I make no apology) but you also know I am leaning toward McCain.

Maybe Bo was in a nyquil induced haze and "mis read" my blog? We'll never know.

You DO KNOW however, that you have NEVER seen me disrespect the men and women in uniform.

if you didn't respect them, why did you post something i deleted? if it was nice, it would have stayed, but you and MO decided to make this your soap box for BS. after i asked you not to post hatefully, you did it again. then because I wouldn't let you on, you had to post SEVERAL other blogs bashing me. once again, why would you even bother posting on exile's blog after his nasty letter? seems to me you agreed, i put him in his place, you didn't. so there my friend, looks like YOUR WORDS CONVICT YOU.....

If you care to have an intelligent discussion this may be the start.

That was the crux of my original post. I did not support the war after I discovered the history leading up to the invasion and I have not supported the lack or planning or execution of the occupation.

In no way, shape or form does this equate to my "not supporting the troops". If you love the troops and support them you MUST protest anything which endangers their safety and which makes their job harder.

Not to mention the disgraceful treatment of the injured.

Can you accept the fact that "blind unconditional" support of a bad war is not a prerequisite for "supporting our troops"?

If so, we have a basis for a reasonable discussion. If not, I bid you adieu.

I'm a third generation Floridian born and raised here in Tampa. I fly for a major airline and have SEEN IT ALL!! LOL!! I believe we should live life to its fullest, never take anything for granted, learn from our mistakes, and always take responsibility for our actions because Karma can bite us in the butt. Not all people are book smart, I'm one of them, but I pride myself on common sense and common courtesy to which some book smart people have a lack thereof.
