Northton

I find it disturbing that, in this day and age, people still believe in ghosts, goblins and gods.  I read as they go on and on about how messed up the world is, how terrible the world is, and then there is a severe disconnect from reality.

Why must people imagine that there is a vengeful monster from another dimension, or should I say, dementia, trying to secretly run things?  Why would a god hide?  Is he chicken?

Please, listen to yourselves talk.  Listen to your own crazy ramblings.  Wonder why the world is messed up, start with people who still make superstition their number one goal in life!  Listen to yourselves rambling on about old wives tales!  I cannot fathom how people still believe these far out stories created by cave people!

What about you?  Are you living in dreams with imaginary friends, or are you living a real life?

LMAO....I was talking to my mom the other day and because she is JW she of course has to bring religion into it. When I told her I was fed up with religion completely and could we just leave jesus out of our conversations she asks 'why?'. I tell her 'Because mom, everything wrong in this world has been caused by religious people'

LOL on the hide and go seek.
jesus

Norty,

I would much rather live believing in God, then die only to find out what I had believed in was wrong. Rather then to live not believing that there was not a God and then when I died finding out I was wrong!

Did that make any sense?

Yes, I understand. Fear has always been used to keep people from questioning their faith or their spiritual leaders.

I was scared to say it at first. I no longer truly believed but for a while I was still afraid to really say, "This just isn't real and deep down I know it. It was made up to give people guidance and inspiration and hope but, like many stories, it just isn't true. I have seen too much evidence, listened to too many dissenting opinions from so called experts and leaders, and I am finally ready to admit that I have been following a clever lie made up by people who wanted to control others and that is propagated by it's adherents, including myself."

It's easier to believe a legend because, as in many stories, we are led to believe that, at one time, things were different, that magic reigned, and that Gods and Sea Monsters roamed the earth. What we really see though learning is that things appear to be pretty much the same today as always. People are just people, there are no ghosts or magic, hard work and determination are still what are required to live a full life, and death is still the end of all life.

And when you can say these things, admit these things to yourself, then your life will change. You will mature in ways you could not before, because you are no longer limited by fear.

Norty I have seen a miracle, I can not say that God does not exist. It is not fear that keeps me believing. I believe because of what I have witnessed, but if I am wrong I will be no worse off when I die.

If you are wrong, you may be much worse off.

I also believe in ghosts, spirits and demons. One person very close to me has seen at least one ghost. The two of us together witnessed an aparition during the night, floating on the ceiling, neither of us could move or speak, it was very freaky,, and it got freakier when we awoke in the morning and compared notes.

I have seen a darkness in a few people that I can not explain, kind of like a dark mist surrounding them, I remember seeing this even when I was a child.

So in short, I can not dismiss God, ghosts, spirits or demons, I beleive they all exist.

Always been 100% real.

What is reality?
A perception of the mind.

What is consciousness?
IDK, but we can perfect it.
Shalom ^ -^

Yes it does, Crone. Thank you, and thanks to all for contributing to the conversation.

I won't doubt you Deb. I personally have never seen anything unnatural, but I will try to keep an open mind.

My take: Everyone seems to think that if you don't follow the word of God and abide by his teachings.. (interprided over and over again) that upon reaching the pearly gates, St.Peter will not let you in.....

I will be skidding to a sliding stop at that enterance, smoke pouring out of my vette, my hair and clothes tattered and smokin, glasses half off my head and my drink still in hand as I crawl out! WOOOOOO WEEEEEE!!! MAN WHAT A RIDE!! Whats next!?!

Charlie's not gay! At least that's what his room-mate said, and he should know because they've been living under the same roof for over ten years now!
