So, McCain and Obama are going to clean up government? That's odd, because they are making things worse.
It doesn't appear as though McCain is going to do it, so I will:
Hear Ye'! Hear Ye'!
The names of those in congress voting for pork are.......... Barack Obama!.... Wait, wait, there is another card in the envelope.......... Why, it looks like we have a second winner... John McCain! Congratulations, you, as well as the rest of the government, have voted for more pork than a hot dog factory. I guess we can see who really would make change:
VOTE NADER, THE ONE PERSON RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT WHO REALLY HASN'T HAD A WASHINGTON BACKGROUND

Ebaumsworld.com, the folks that bring you the racist, sexist, immature fart jokes and all around perversion, now brings you the Republican Party. Yes, these anti-Democrat jokes are bound to make you the hit of any party (assuming no one knows how immature the site is). Yes sir, the people who brought you these jokes are definitely a good example of who to keep away from!
Someone like this supporting the party = embarrassment.

Couple this with the KKK's endorsement of McCain and Palin's address to the AIP...

Once again, Democrats in congress are giving in to a Republican platform that will slow progress and hinder our future. Instead of focusing on alternative energy, the future, the ban on off-shore drilling is to be lifted, creating a new reason to delay forward progress. Democrats, if you want to call yourselves the progressive party, you need to act like it; you should not be HINDERING PROGRESS BY FOLLOWING A RIGHT-WING PLAN!!!
In the 21st century, we should not be stuck with early 1900's solutions. What next, a wagon train?
I guess there is only one thing to say about the Republocrats:
P.S. Ford has created a car capable of 60 miles per gallon......... For sale in Europe only for business reasons.

For those who have not noticed, the economy is failing. In order to safe guard your assets and work to turn the economy around it is important that you sell your stocks immediately. This will ensure the capitalist economy goes in the best direction.
Second, why is Palin refusing/unable to speak for herself? She has repeated the same line over and over and over and over again. Why not answer some questions or do a few interviews? Something to hide? Unable to speak without a teleprompter? It must be something. I have heard of giving a good speech, but not the same one repeatedly (and no, I do not really think she gave a good speech the first time).

I did not list all points given by Snopes for Obama. However, the list for McCain was only five points long (one of which was true, two undetermined and only two false). The Republicans should be ashamed of themselves for taking such actions to wrongfully spread this crap. I am forced to correct your wongs and I don't even like Obama!

This post should not have been necessary for a room of adults, and yet it has to be written.
Chain letters are not encyclopedias. The information contained in them is wrong 99% of the time. (I will use the Obama plane post below as my description - can you say "slander?") Really, people, if you believe something a five-year-old could have typed, I have a bridge to sell you.
Copy-and-paste blog posts. See this. This is my opinion. I am not sourcing anything in this paragraph because it is my opinion. Copying and pasting it to another site does not magically turn it into Einstein's next great breakthrough.
Far right/left sites. If you find a source that repeats "this guy sucks, vote the other way," every other story, chances are it is about as reliable as submarine on the moon. And yet, it is repeated as though it were scripture. That bridge is still up for grabs; any takers?
In reality, those of you who vote based on these "sources" are doing more harm than good. Sure, you will try to blame others (using these as your sources), but you have no-one to blame but yourself.
P.S. Those of you who preach "the president has no powers at all" should stick with your story. Saying this and then campaigning against a certain candidate because you feel they will hurt the country shows that you do not actually believe what you are spewing (in fact, if you really believed it, you would hope that candidate won to get him out of the legislative branch). Go ahead and show me where it is written. Pasting does not mean you yourself believe it.

Lately, it seems as though many bloggers use the
term "socialism" without knowing what it is. Most of the bloggers
doing this are members of the right-wing, so I do not blame them completely.
They have not learned how to do actual research and instead rely on chain
letters (which could be written by a five year old), right-wing blogs and other
non-sources for their information. Unfortunately, until these bloggers are capable
of reason, progress will always be hindered.
Socialism:
* Gives the workers power within their industry. The workers are the decision
makers under this system, not management or the government (as is often
inaccurately believed).
* Reforms the wage system to include a maximum wage for all workers (the wage
system is eliminated completely under communism). This ensures equality between
all.
* Is not controlled by government bureaucrats, it is controlled by the people
through elections.
* Does not hinder progress by eliminating competition, it promotes great
progress by favoring cooperation.
* Is a transitory period between capitalism and communism.
* Property does not belong to the government, it belongs to all people.
* Many on the right claim that a new class is established under socialism which
becomes the new upper-class. Not so. This class is a result of state capitalist
principles, such as Stalinism.
Wait! That looks as though socialism is a good thing! Indeed it is. Indeed...
it... is...

Since I have been here, remarks about media bias have ran rampant. It is the left. No, it is the right.
No, IT IS THE TWO MAJOR PARTIES!!!
This post is not a debate about left v. right, it is about domination by the two major parties.
Fox 4, break this domination and, if the national Fox New station refuses to allow it on the national news, host the debate here in KC.
Ron Paul debating
Ralph Nader debating
Bob Barr (Libertarian) debating
Cynthia McKinney (Green)

Sorry about the low sound. You may need to turn your speakers up.
"There's no question about it. Wall Street got drunk.
That's one of the reasons I asked you to turn off your TV cameras.
It got drunk and now its got a hangover.
The question is: how long will it sober up and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments?
And then we got a housing issue.
Not in Houston, and evidently not in Dallas, because Laura was over there trying to buy a house today.
I like Crawford, but unfortunately after eight years of asking her to sacrifice, I'm no longer the decision maker. [Although according to some on myfoxkc.com, you are the president and make no decisions whatsoever.]"

When it comes to powering the future of America, an industrial country still living in the stone age when it comes to energy, it seems as though anyone favoring anything but oil is nearly laughed at and at once considered immature. However, for those of us out there intelligent enough to know an energy problem does exist, I believe it is time to look towards alternatives.
1. First, it is important that we removed the subsidies from oil and nuclear. This money should immediately be redistributed into wind, solar energy, etc. Of course, there are some who would rather be big oil's
right hand man and sit on the
wing of progress, but they should be ignored. Their desire to prevent progress is nothing but emotional fear of the future.
2. The US should research and adopt
Pickens Plan. Of course, there are some who do not find wind feasible under
conservative estimates. These people apparently do not consider how windy parts of the country are. Wind will still be here after oil is depleted, and it is much better to favor with what is
left after oil. While we may be lead to believe those who agree that wind is not the
right choice, retaining such a view will
reduce our freedom of energy independence.
3. A plan should also be implemented to provide payment for private households and businesses who install their own solar panels (aside from the panels producing energy for the whole city) and pass part of the unused energy onto the electric grid. This would allow people to be more
liberal in their purchases and support of
alternative energy, which is for the
best.
4. Some people will still say tax dollars (subsidies) should not be used for such an endeavor and should be used
conservatively. These are the same people who support tax dollars (subsidies) for big oil and nuclear (noo-klee-er, not noo-kler), both of which are environmental hazards. These
hypocrites, while saying they are against subsidies, are in favor of expanding oil, even when they know it is
a step backwards, keeps the country in the energy
stone age and still favor using tax dollars for oil endeavors. They should be voted out of office immediately. If you are in a conversation with one of these people, immediately lay down the facts. Oil is finished, it is the
correct move to use what
is left.

Well, it is coming. The collapse of IndyMac shows the trend soon to follow. Soon, banks everywhere will join them, just like the first Great Depression.
Scapegoats are already under formation. The capitalist philosophy, the very philosophy causing this depression, is actually gaining in popularity. Rather than blaming the businesses for sending jobs overseas and hiring low-paid workers, people blame socialism, a system the US does not subscribe to. Yes, it is an obvious lie that socialism is the problem - and the people are biting hook, line and sinker. Immigrants are blamed just as the Jews were in Germany. They are blamed for the decline in jobs, without accepting the notion that these same jobs would just be sent to Mexico et al. anyway. It is not the immigrants, it is the businesses.
Didn't we learn our lesson the first time? Where are the modern Eugene Debses and De Leons? Where is the outrage and solutions. Where is the youth? Why are they not taking to the streets? Simple: they are politically brain dead. I know I will catch a lot of heat for this, but it is true. Rather than working for change, the youth is posting their dislike of the times on YouTube and MySpace. Yeah, that will change the world.
You see, for a lesson to be learned, someone has to know what really happened then to prevent it now. I will leave you with that thought.

Why does it always take so long for ideas to form? Nearly twenty years ago, a form of turbine called a Solar Tower was tested, a system possibly efficient enough to heat 200,000 homes! Heated air from the earths surface rises through the tower into the atmosphere. The updraft drives turbines, thereby creating energy for general use.
It is not, however, believed to drive enough warm air into the atmosphere to create any sort of climate change - cement in cities creates greater changes in heat pattern than this thing would.
Also, the Japanese are working on a solar array that orbits the earth and sends electrical power back to earth via microwaves.

Greetings from KC. Please note that I do not support either Obama or McCain, but will be voting third-party this election.
The reasons behind your vote this November should be obvious to anyone who pays attention to politics. It seems as though both branches of the major party (those on the left and right of the Republo-cratic party) have their fair share of sycophants, but which side would really be worse?
Answer: Both are nearly equal, but the Republicans have already shown they are incapable of doing the job; look at the last eight years.
On the right, we have people on this very St. Louis blog making statements such as "NO WONDER THE SOUTH SECEDED FROM THE UNION (bubba-right-wing, CONSERVATIVE VIEW, Jun 30, 2008)" and "You are one of the two and this year the choice is as simple as BLACK OR WHITE (bubba-right-wing, CONSERVATIVE VIEW, Jun 24, 2008)." If you are like me, you will agree that we have enough divisions in the world without listening to babel such as this. A person should vote for who they believe will do the highest quality job, not who is white, black , Christian or Muslim (which Obama is not). What nonsense.
The title of this post is "Resist The Right Wing." Many may take this to mean that I am attacking everyone on the right. Not so. I am generally attacking only those on the far right, those who use race and religion to discriminate against others. Those who are make statements such as the blogger above.
However, there is another side to this post. The very word "conservative" means to resist change. Well, it was those who resisted change who were opposed to the Women's' Rights Movement, the Civil Rights Movement and supported maintaining sweatshops rather than reforming industries. Research will show anyone who looks at real information (not just conservative/liberal blogs, real sources) that both the Democrats AND the Republicans can be accused of each of the above listed. Even though one candidate is considered the candidate of change and the other is considered Bush III, both are for more of the same. Liberals are not evil, nor are we Democrats. We are for the betterment of society, and ask you to join us this Election Day.
Come November, vote third-party.
