ABC putting the message out that Clinton is unbeatable because of the money she has raised. Even if she is out there more, she is only overly reconfirming the reasons I and others wouldn't vote for her. Bill stated that anti-Hillary voters are republicans anyway and she can win without them. How is it right that the amount of money can determine our next president. Can't anyone see the wrong in this?

On another subject,,,,,If she does get elected, whats the chances Bill gets caught with his pants down during the next four years. The democratic principle isn't the only fear we face, as their cause of American standing among other countries. I'd rather have them upset with our policy than laughing at us.

I read this blog and was not going to comment. But, being from NY I have to add something to this, even if it raises a stink.

I was there when Hillary got elected to the senate, I did NOT vote for her. It was the most disappointing election. She and Bill bought a house in ritzy town just to be residents. then with scare tactics the threatend the elderly to get them to vote by saying they were going to loose Medical benefits. Because she had money she pretty much ran both campaigns Reps and Dems.

OK this is me falling off my soap box...

Unfortunately, that is one of the flaws of our system. Money plays a big part and if it didn't then it wouldn't be reported every other day how much someone has raised or not raised. Big business and lobbyist pay a lot of money to get people elected and to have legislation swayed on their behalf. I think it is a corrupt system. There are so many politicians from both sides that leave office and then sign huge deals to work for a lobbyist group or the corporation they just help with writing laws or blocking laws.

Politicians no longer work for the common man but for the almighty dollar, it is a system of sellouts and both sides have their hands open and ready to receive.

I liken this to the differences between Major League Baseball and the National Football League.

Who's going to win the World Series? Most likely the usual suspects--those teams with the money.

Who's going to win the Super Bowl? The best team.

What's the difference? SALARY CAP.

Cap the money that each candidate or any entity can spend on a campaign and this won't be as much of a problem. I'm putting my money on the Yankees, or the Red Sox, or the Braves, every single year.

One of the things that I'm curious about is how they are allowed to spend the money. Is it strictly for advertising and other basic expenses? Or are they allowed to stay in high dollar hotels while traveling, rent and/or buy high dollar cars, draw large salarys etc?

Ask Adam Taff, he switched a bit of his campaign money to buy a house--a very short term loan, paid it back and spent time in the pokey for loan fraud and campaign money abuses.

I know they can't buy houses etc. What I'm curious about is campaign related expenses. Are they allowed to stay in $3,000 a night hotels while traveling, are they allowed to lease a Lexus or other high dollar car while campaigning etc. I'm curious where the line is drawn for what is neccessary and what is frivilous in terms of spending the money.
