The woman attacked outside the Dollar General Store in Independence probably saved her life by fighting back and scaring off this attacker. This can be a good lesson to all women who scary as it seems, might be faced with this kinda situation. Seems to be becoming common and can happen anywhere. Another aspect, is to stay aware and trust your gut feeling, as this woman was followed around inside the store before she left with him right behind her.

With his picture advertised and apparantly wearing a unique hat and tatoo displayed, he ought to be easy to track down. Men have a habit of wearing the same hat ,or just a few for months.

I think its amazing that an Old Dollar General Store has better cameras than a Brand new target store,
Obviously Dollar General Cares about their employees and customers a little more than Target.

Calco, wrong it wasn't the one by Hawthorne, they don't have parking spaces in front of the store like the one in the video has.You can't even park in front of that store.

Every woman needs to know a form of self-defense. Often you can find sel-defense classes for free. Mine has helped me out several times. A woman always has something with them that can be used as a weapon. Ladies, do yourselves a favor, take a class. It might save your life.

I've been followed b4. You should always be aware of your surroundings. If I know I'm being followed I report the jerk, then I ask the security guard in the store, if they have them there, to follow me out to the car. They're always willing to. I know Dollar General doesn't have security guards but there's always a worker that is stocking shelves that can walk you out. At least Target always has a security guard. Most stores do.

I walk around with a huge chip on my shoulder when I go in or out of a store...I give the appearance of being angry, while being mindful of who followed me in or out...If I think for one second I am being watched, I stop, stare at the person and stare at them with a very hateful expression and most of them just walk away. Also, appearing to talk on your cellphone can be a detirrent.
Be watchful, be confident and if you do get attacked, fight for your life.

Twistersister, do you actually think a hateful expression would stop them if they wanted to abduct you. I think not, if you think talking on your cellphone is a deterrent, think again.

I believe it was the Family Dollar Store in Susquehanna (spelling?)
It really doesn't matter what city you are in there are losers like that in EVERY city.

I always carry a knife, which is legal as long as the blade is no longer than three inches and it is not a swtitchblade. The one I carry is a lockblade which is legal, and if I can't get it open in time it is big and heavy enough I can use it like a roll of quarters and punch someone with it clenched in my fist.
