Has anyone watched John & Kate Plus 8 on Discovery Health?  I watched for the first time tonight, and wow!  Those parents have a life of busy ahead of them.  I wish I could say I have seen the series from the beginning, however, tonight was my first time.  I was saddened to see that the twins who were turning 6 and John and Kate took them to celebrate in NYC for special time without the sextuplets were so whiney and acted so spoiled.  If someone has seen more of this program, and knows more I would really like more info.  I am not sure which twin it was, but after all the parents did for the girls, they were leaving the American Girl Shop, and she said to her mother that she ruined it and some other very naughty things.  Everyone has different parenting skills and expectations, but if that were my daughter......she would never have gotten away with her comments, being filmed or not.  Thank you for your thoughts and insight, as I said, I would like more info because I intend on watching more episodes.  I watch discovery health more than most other channels as there is so much on tv that is distasteful and disgusting.  You know when you tune into anything on Discovery, you will learn something or for the most part, be able to enjoy it, even if your child/children comes into the room.

Hi Redhotz :o)
I, too watch Discovery Channel ~ too much!
I really enjoy Jon and Kate plus 8. I watched the very first episode, when she was pregnant with the 6. ~ AMAZING!~ Her tummy got to be 54 inches around!
The other day, I happened to watch Dr Phil, and Jon and Kate were on there, asking for guidence on discipline for the twins and the sextuplets. I bet we will be seeing a huge change in all the children.

I'd think you'd have to learn to get into routines and become VERY organized just to get by day to day. I did child care for 20 years with 8-10 children (not all the same age of course) but had the benefit of them going home at night. It's a difficult job. These parents are in for a whirl wind of trouble when these kids are teens. AAHHHHH! If they make it with out a straight jacket it will be a miracle. Hopefully Jon and Kate have a strong enough marriage to survive everything they'll go through.
