Questions of the Day......

1. Where will you spend your retirement days?  Will you move somewhere sunny and dry?

2. What is the best "type" of place to eat/dine?

I wanna be a snowbird (I think that's what they call them) LOL

To SanDiego 711:

There was no place to comment.....So here is mine!

I will mark down the diner, I love them.  Thank You for sharing.  I just returned 2 weeks ago from visiting my hubby in VA and all I wanted one morning was some eggs, wheat toast, home fries, and bacon, and coffee.  But in a military town, everything seems to be fast food related.  We are driving along, and happen upon a tiny, back out of the way place called "House of Eggs"  Being a little apprehensive, we pull in, and say a little prayer.  And wouldn't you know it, it was exactly what I wanted!  PERFECT!

So, moving to Surprise, AZ?  Do you need a daughter and 2 grandchildren to adopt for a year?  We have to be returned this time next year when our Sailor gets home.  But we'd love to help you re-locate!  Well, truth is....I LOVE ARIZONA  especially that area.  My aunt lived in Casa Grande, and I still visit her husband even after she passed 9 years ago.  We just don't go as often as I'd like.  Maybe That's what my Sailor and I'll do....Just what you and Elvis are doing!

Check out - Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food network. Guraanteed you will love his show! I like all kinds of restaurants but I prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes, fancy is fun but I am more "down to earth" and prefer being unpretentious and so totally formal. Az is kind of laid back and I like that as well as the climate which is a priority as I have Rheumatiod & Osteoarthritis!
In a day and half I felt 85% better and that was the "two bad months of the year"? ha ha Winters are fabulous unless you feel 60 degrees is too cold! The heat is different as there is basically no humidity except in the teens most of the year. During the bad two months it is first extremely hot and dust storms - then monsoons come in - a big rain every day toward the evening. During that time there is also some humidity and a teeny bit of uncomfortableness for those of us with Arthritis. Good luck to you and your Sailor!

Thank You Thank You! I can't wait to see Arizona again! I wish our circumstances were different right now, and when he gets out, but for now, we must stick around here. Family takes priority, and we must take care of those around us for the time being. Until we can be there on a more permanent basis, it (AZ) will be our vacation spot! Thank you for the idea on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Gone are the days though...My folks owned a drive in called Hoods Dari Treat when I was a baby, and what they wouldn't give to do it again. They miss those days.
