I'm not sure about anyone else but I trust her with overseeing our military because she is trusted with overseeing the United States as I type this post! When North Korea launched the missles this defense battalion was readied for action and America never knew! Do any of the Obama/Biden supporters believe their candidates knew the Alaskan National Guard was readied? No way those knotheads even had a clue!! Who's ready to lead? It's darn sure not Hussein and his partner!!!

Is it just me or has the media given the presidency to Obama already? From all the things I see pop up on the web it sure appears that way to me! I wonder if this the liberal medias way to keeps conseratives from even going out to vote? I may as well stay home on election day IMO! Why bother to go to the polls?
I do still have hope though! The debate format is more to McCains likeing being the Town Hall type! Especially since he has asked for this type since he became the nominee for the republicans! I'm guessing Obama doesn't want to do the Town Hall because he will be asked questions by voters and not by liberal media types! Obama and all his knowledge won't help him answer the questions he will be asked and its not "if" its "when" he talks down to the people asking the questions he had best have on steel toed shoes because he will shoot himself in the foot! Thats when McCain will take control of the meeting!
Now we are being told whom to vote for in the election by Hollywood! I still haven't figured out why these people have a hold on the young voters of America? Maybe I just fell off the turnip truck but no one and I mean no one will tell me who "I" want to lead this Country!! Lots of voters will vote for McCain since the other choice is Obama! I would rather have more of the same than have the "Change" Obama is advertising which will cause our ship to sink!

Doug, I just wanted to say Thank You for your actions tonight during the newscast when the chatters were getting out of hand! I observed you did the same thing last night with some of the crude remarks made toward Melissa and with someone involving the weather! It irritates me when people become so nasty with their comments and I should have known someone would be keeping tabs on this stuff! I guess I'm from the old school to show respect to be able to get respect and some people sure don't give the news people much respect! From all the news shows I've seen over the years Fox seems to be the most un-biased of all and I enjoy the morning as well as the 9pm news. Of course thats because I enjoy picking on Melissa while blogging and chatting!

Thank you Melissa for the news report you did on people with Rhumatoid Arthritis and the medicines they need to allow movement! I have Rhumatoid and it causes terrible pain and swelling to the joints due to the Auto-immune system in a person's body attacking the joints! I was diagnosed in 2002 and started on one of the injectable drugs in March of 2003! That drug is Humira and as you stated it does cause the body to lose it's ability to fight off infection! My Rhumatologist is excellent in his ability to understand and know the side effects of every drug he prescribes for his patients! Therefore he let me know straight away to get to a doctor if I caught a cold or even sneezed more than two times because of this medicine's effect! Another side effect is bruising easily and bleeding when injured!
Once I began the injections the swelling went away and I could actually walk without pain as well! My Dr also has to understand every drug before he prescribes anything since I'm also deathly allergic to aspirin! I had been working all the while with my hands, feet, ankles and wrists swollen and hurting so badly I could not shift the floor shift on my truck because of not being able to close my hands! I had to start driving my wife's vehicle! Once I started the injections my swelling went away and the joints stopped hurting! So even though there are side effects to almost every drug the Dr a person uses had best understand all these and more! In my case the benefits outweigh the side effects! But thank you for reporting to others of the problems associated with Humira and others!

After watching the news on Fox Sunday night and hearing the report about the backlog of receiving the CHL I have an idea as to the reason for the more than 40% jump in persons applying!
Texans are afraid Obama could win the presidential race and he will do his best to appease the anti-gun nuts and keep people from getting the license if they don't already have one! Of course he said he would never try and take away a persons right to protect themself but him being a politician is like a bucket with a hole in both ends! Tell people what they want to hear but lots of Texans don't believe in his "Change We Can Believe In" since he never says what kind of change.
McCain may not be the best but at least we know what we are getting with him plus we get Sarah Palin! I received a note that supposedly came from an Alaskan Guide that tells about Ms. Palin and her get the job done attitude! I know lots of people don't think she can handle herself against Biden in a debate but IMO she can kick his behind with her smarts and especially her wit!

I was just wondering if anyone else observed the same thing as me during one of Obama's speeches after the RNC? I noticed his demeanor has changed and his speech wasn't near as elequent as normal! He seemed to studder and stammer while he was speaking! I do believe he has come to realize he isn't the only person with great speaking skills and also realizes he now has a real fight to win the presidency! Although it wasn't McCain that has rattled him! Sarah Palin has caused the democrats to scramble to try and gather some kind of dirt to demeanor her to make themselves look better! It's really a shame the politicians on both sides have to use these tactics to gain support! They haven't figured out when they point the finger at someone, there are three pointing back at themselves! I just want the candidates to show how they plan to make all the changes and what the changes happen to be! McCain has done his part but Obama still hasn't given his "Change we can believe in" changes!!!
I'm also waiting to see the debate between Palin and Biden to see if Ms. Palin is a sharp as I believe she is and if Biden is as dull as I believe! It should be interesting to say the least.

Barack Obama's motto "Change you can believe in" has acquired a new meaning‘ changing his positions is the only thing you can believe in. His campaign began with a huge change in the image he projects, compared to what he was doing for 20 years before.
Despite the New York Yankees' awesome record over the years, no one has ever made 3,000 hits in his career as a Yankee, nor has any pitcher ever had 300 lifetime victories with the Yankees. Despite their well-deserved reputation as "the Bronx Bombers," there is only one Yankee among the top ten career homerun hitters.
After getting DVDs of old "Perry Mason" TV programs and old "Law & Order" programs, I found myself watching far more of the "Perry Mason" series. The difference is that too many "Law & Order" programs tried to raise my consciousness on social issues, as if that is their role or their competence.

Such terms are especially valuable to politicians during an election year, for these terms can attract the votes of people who mean very different‘ and even mutually contradictory‘ things when they use these words.
It may not be possible to have machines call balls and strikes in baseball, since the vertical strike zone depends on the height of each batter. It is hard to get the supporters of Barack Obama to give a coherent reason for their support. The basis for their support seems to be guilt, gullibility or‘ in the case of some conservatives‘ a hatred of John McCain.
It is heart-warming to see the Williams sisters maturing as people. They made tennis history from the beginning but they had a lot to learn about human relations‘ and now they seem to have learned it.
How many in the media have expressed half as much outrage about the beheading of innocent people by terrorists in Iraq as they have about the captured terrorists held at Guantanamo not being treated as nicely as they think they should be?
Although most of the mainstream media are still swooning over Barack Obama, a few critics are calling the things he advocates "naive." But that assumes that he is trying to solve the country's problems. If he is trying to solve his own problem of getting elected, then he is telling the voters just what they want to hear. That is not naive but shrewd and cynical.

- Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.
- Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.

I wanted to post the quote from Obama about America being ready for a change from the most powerful nation in the world but was unable to locate that one. After reading it I took a deep breath and thought OMG he just told the American people what he intended to do to America if elected. Does anyone know the quote I'm speaking about?

It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If Obama or Hillary are elected, they both say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.
