Apr 8, 2008 | 1:25 PM I encountered a similar experience, several years ago. I was victim of a woman with a Bellaire address in an SUV, yacking on a cell phone, and exceeding the speed limit, who failed to observe four vehicles stopped at a red traffic signal in front of the St. Clearwater Airport. She rear-ended me with such force that neither of the rear doors on my full-sized Chevy Station wagon could be opened. A fellow following her in a Datsun Z apparently never saw any brake lights, and wound up with his hood under her truck. A short blond female FHP officer, and an old black man FHP officer arrived on scene. (Turns out the lil' blondie was in training, but she was handling the call.) I explained to lil blondie that I had felt two distinct impacts - the first when the SUV hit me, and the second when the Z-car hit her. Lil blondie chatted with the Bellaire babe for a few, then cited the guy in the Z-car for pushing the SUV into me. Being the victim in all this, and seeing the rich witch getting off scott free didn't set well with me, so I showed up in court, and gave testimony. Lil blondie FHP, and old |

Apr 8, 2008 | 1:27 PM (cont.) black man FHP, both sold the judge that my tesitmony was hog wash. The judge listened to them. I looked them in the eye and declared that they were a disgrace to their uniforms, and walked out. I complained to their Lieutenant, and he ignored me. I've never since had any respect for FHP. |

I am originally from Michigan, but have always been a Floridian at heart. I am 41 years old, and a Musician. I have 3 dogs, a boxer/border collie mix named Powder, a chocolate lab named Paczki and a white boxer named Casper. I am not bound to conservative ideologies, and have mixed feelings about a lot of things. I believe everyone has SOME good in them, but have a hard time showing it. I believe when somebody points the finger of blame at someone else, they are usually blowing smoke to distract attention away from their own wrong doing. I don't trust my government, am suspicious of most people in law enforcement, and I think people that don't tip their waiter or pizza delivery person should not go out to eat or order in, but should cook their own food at home. I don't believe in global warming or the boogie man. I go to church, but I believe the church as a whole may be way out of touch with their mission and their God. I am a church music director, youth worker and consider myself a person of deep faith. However, I know that I am human and sometimes do and say some stupid things. There are two rules to follow in life 1.) Don't sweat the small stuff 2.) It's all small stuff. God is bigger than any problem you may have, and you've made it this far, so give yourself a break, forget what's in the past, and look ahead to a great future.
