SIPEDO and YOU

by sipedo from Brooksville, Florida

Last Post 21 minutes Ago

I'll never get used to these young "men" wearing their trousers down to their knees showing off their underwear.  But now, it has gone on so long that some of them have grown up into what are supposed to be ADULTS, and they are still wearing their clothes the same way.

I was in Circuit City, and the young man that was assisting me, had his shirt not been REALLY long and tucked in, there is no doubt that his skivvies would be showing.

Where is the professionalism?

My cousin worked as a printer in the Pinecastle area, and his boss, who is in his mid forties was wearing his pants a might low too, just like his 19 year old son.

The next thing you know we're going to see reporters on FOX wearing their pants down to their ankles.

I just don't get it.  Enough is enough.  It's time for these "ADULTS" to grow out of their rebellious stage.  It's not attractive, it looks totally stupid, and the next time I see that kid at Circuit City, I'm going to tell him, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, "HEY KID, PULL YOUR PANTS UP"!  But maybe CC will get wind of this before that and they will FIRE the twirp.

Thanks for letting me vent.  Now it's YOUR turn.

I especially want to hear from the ladies.  Do you think men should pull them up?  Or is this supposed to be sexy or something.  Enlighten me.

Men should buy pants that fit.
Dressing well shows class.
Droopy pants looks stupid and is a safety hazard.
Men should be sure both jacket and pants drape well.
You should have looked at the printer and his son and told them that if they can't even hold up their pants, you do not want them being that sloppy with your printing.
Speak up, when it counts.

Girls, your dress code, also, could use a little help.
Pants two sizes too small, makes you look fat!
Nobody can see the size, we just see the funny walk and muffin top bulges over the waist band.
The plumber's crack is no treat!
Also, please note that some bellies should be covered!
Victoria Secret was sexy because her underwear was "secret."
Those bra straps showing look cheap.
I, personally, do not care for the boobie shows.
Very few woman can wear a plunging neckline with class.

Where is the professionalism?

Florida is a rite to work state...
Rite to hire too, I wouldn't give a chance after already stating my opinion..
This has more bearing on IQs than a hat...

Don't need any help in that area toddt, but thanks for your concern. It's kind of hard not to notice when sometimes it's right in your face. No wise cracks.

Just the other day I was driving down the road and saw three young men walking down the roadside, all three were showing almost all their underwear. One of the boys pants fell all the way to his ankles, and without missing a step, he reached down and pulled them up to their previous position. It was kind of funny, but all three did look pretty dumb.

I just cant understand why those guys who wear their pants like that want to copy a gay criminal. That trend started in the prisons and was a method used to tell other men that they were available for sex.

Hmmm. Yes, I think that they are gay gangs that wear their pants like that. That's so they can get a quicky without fumbling for belts, buttons, etc. But, on the good side, if these dumb A's try to run from the cops they're tripped up by their droopers. What happened to the afro American church man who was giving out free belts?

I DO NOT want to see the color, style or brand of your BOXERS, so pull your freakin' pants up, you little sissies! You look like an overgrown baby with an overloaded Pamper, walking around, constantly hiking up your drooping drawers!

I just deduct about 50 IQ points on sight. I'm definitely not into "the clothes make the man", but spending boat loads of money to make yourself look like an idiot is just well, idiotic.

Wasn't aware of that one, Ericjhach. I think I'll have to start deducting a few more points.

While in a store in Ocala (Wal-Something), I went to the Food store (Sub-Something), The young man was mopping the floor and had his really baggy pants hanging low.
As I walked past him, I stated, "Pull your pants up, that looks unprofessional", To which the man replied "This isn't a professional job". He then went behind the counter and told another employee loudly, "Why's the guy looking at my A** anyway."
Yes, I got the Managers number, and called her, and also called the Corp Office, and lodged a complaint.
The young man no longer works there.

LOL Sorrento Dude!!! That Broadcast would be TIVO-worthy. As long as Corinna is co-anchor. Really though, baggy pants are not my thing but I am not about to tell someone else how to dress. I own my business and I wear shorts & flip flops to my office when its warm enough. If someone does not like it they can go elsewhere. Its too hot to sweat my nads off!!!

I personally think it shows a lack of intelligence and these people look like uneducated fools running around with their pants down to their ankles. I don't think it is sexy, I think it is thugish, tacky, and without class. I believe these "droopy-drawers" people are not only disrespectful to others but also to themselves. It shows that they do not take pride in who they are and do not believe they are worth much at all. I can go on and on, but I wont. I personally want to yank their pants down and embarrass the heck out of them. I can't stand seeing someones scooby-do, striped, or polka-dot boxers. I don't care what kind of briefs they wear and don't feel like I should have to see them. Get a grip!!

I have gotten different responses from young men when I have politely said to them, "Pull your pants up!" Everything from immediate obedience, to a cold, defiant stare. The funniest is when I holler from my truck window, at someone ambling and tripping up the sidewalk. That usually respond with immediate compliance! Once in TJ MAXX, a little, white thug wannabe gave me a cold, mean, defiant, stare, when I asked him politely to pull his britches up. The boy that was with him obviously had a much better upbringing, because he nudged him, and said, "Dude, pull your pants up!" Only then did he pull up his pants, but he still kept staring me down with the "evil eye." I love to watch them when they trip, and almost bust their fannies, because they can barely walk!

I was waiting at a red light the other day, and this chunky black dude was walking on the sidewalk. Every couple of steps his shorts would start falling down, and he pulled them back up, but only to just below the buttocks. I was laughing pretty hard, and all I could think of was how uncomfortable that had to be.

This guy had to be in his late 30s! I will never understand this "fashion" statement.

On the other hand, I was walking into Publix a few weeks ago behind a very attractive young woman. Her shorts were slightly low, and her G-string was pulled up high. I didn't mind THAT at all! LOL!

Frank, I wondered why you rear-ended that Cadillac you were behind! Did you hurt yourself? Man, you really messed your truck up, Dude! You really need to watch the road, and NOT what's coming out of the Shark Lounge! LOL!

Nah. This was at Mason and Nova, a very long light. The dude thankfully had boxers on too, but it was very comical to watch him walk!

The girl with the G-string was not funny, it was erotic.

Good thing I was walking and not driving!

DF; was the girl 'advertising'? Did a lot of cars stop and ask her how much? If they did and she wasn't a hooker she'd get the message, but on the other hand if her hiney looked good........... it's a man thing.

As a man I too enjoy seeing a good looking girl with a thong or G-string. As my wife would say she enjoys seeing a guy in tight pants with a nice rearend, but we both agree to see these moronic idiots with their nasty undrewear showing is discusting.

I am originally from Michigan, but have always been a Floridian at heart. I am 41 years old, and a Musician. I have 3 dogs, a boxer/border collie mix named Powder, a chocolate lab named Paczki and a white boxer named Casper. I am not bound to conservative ideologies, and have mixed feelings about a lot of things. I believe everyone has SOME good in them, but have a hard time showing it. I believe when somebody points the finger of blame at someone else, they are usually blowing smoke to distract attention away from their own wrong doing. I don't trust my government, am suspicious of most people in law enforcement, and I think people that don't tip their waiter or pizza delivery person should not go out to eat or order in, but should cook their own food at home. I don't believe in global warming or the boogie man. I go to church, but I believe the church as a whole may be way out of touch with their mission and their God. I am a church music director, youth worker and consider myself a person of deep faith. However, I know that I am human and sometimes do and say some stupid things. There are two rules to follow in life 1.) Don't sweat the small stuff 2.) It's all small stuff. God is bigger than any problem you may have, and you've made it this far, so give yourself a break, forget what's in the past, and look ahead to a great future.
