During the 7th Inning Stretch, when the play God Bless America at Yankee Stadium, you have to remain in your seat.  Recently, one man had to go to the bathroom really bad, and tried to leave his seat to go to the bathroom during the 7th Inning Stretch's playing of God Bless America.  He did not know about this rule.  Two of the NYPD stopped him and said he would have to wait until the song was over.  He said he had to use the bathroom really bad, and right now, he cared more about that than God Bless America.  He was ejected from the Ballpark.  A later police report stated that the man was standing on his seat, drunk, cursing and shouting obscenties.  Both he and a season ticket holder who was sitting next to him have said this is not true.  The ACLU has said that New York's finest have crossed the line.  So I guess  Yankee Fans and Owners would rather see a guy pee his pants in the stands when he couldn't hold it rather than go to the bathroom during the playing of God Bless America.

Maybe I could understand it through the singing of the National Anthem, but NOT this.  I am as patriotic as the next guy, but this is ridiculous.  What if this had been a person with a serious medical condition?

In Germany, Churches are Setting Up Their Own Gas Companies…

A society of churches in Germany has set up its own gas company to help credit crunch families hit by rising prices. The Society for the Supply of Energy to Church and Social Institutions is not for profit and wants to undercut commercial power companies by 10 per cent.

Chairman Johannes Baumgartner said: "If we can supply gas at a lower rate by cutting out the middle man, then we have done a good job. We just want to be cheaper...  "At first we want to concentrate on supplying gas to our parishes and to charitable and social organizations here in Baden-Wuerttemberg. If that works out well, we'll be glad to welcome others from outside who will increase our purchasing capacity."

Is this an innovative idea? Or should the church stay out of it? Even if this served as a great foot in the door, should the church be in the gas business?

How and where should churches be involved in non-church activities?  Churches already run schools, orphanages, counseling centers, food kitchens, low income housing, malls, and coffee shops, so, why not gas companies?

Over half of the gold medals awarded to China are in events that are judged.  Nearly all the gold medals wond by the US are in timed events.  The clock doesn't lie.  But judges can, and do effect the outcome for a gold medal.  It is my contention that something dishonest is going on, not just in the age of gymnasts, but in the decision of judges.  Not that some of those gold medals won by China are not deserving, some of them are not.  It makes you wonder if the judges, who are chosen by the IOC, are even qualifed to rate in a given sport or event.  The disparity in the number of gold medals makes this highly suspect.

Are the Chinese holding guns to the heads of judges so they win the most gold?  Or do the judges despise the Americans and other countries THAT MUCH?  Or are they afraid of retribution by the Chinese government if China does not come out of the Olympics not only with the most gold medals, but the most medals overall.  As of this morning, when I last checked, the US and China were tied in the number of medals at 79 each, but China had 45 golds and the US had 26.  Othere contries lag far behind the US and China in number of medals.  I believe this years Olympics will go down in history as the most corrupt of them all.

I mostly boycotted the Olympics, but could not resist watching Michael Phelps who won 8 Gold Medals in TIMED EVENTS.  Like I said.  It makes you wonder.

This post is intended to post in the news rather than sports, because I believe that this is more news than sports.  It is about criminality more than athleticism.  Whether FOX posts it at Sports of News is at their discretion.

On Saturday Night, August 16, 2008, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama will participate in a forum at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California.  The pastor of Saddleback, Rick Warren will give indentical questions to both Obama and McCain.  Obama will go first, and McCain will go second.  McCain will not hear the responses of Obama.  At the end, Obama and McCain will appear on stage and shake hands.  What do you think about this?  Should a pastor be doing something like this?  Both of the presidential hopefuls agreed to the forum only if pastor Rick Warren gave the questions.

I'm going to watch this at 8:00 on CSPAN.  I'd be interested in hearing your feedback after the forum is over.  It should be an interesting time.

It seems that a family that was the beneficiary of ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition is losing their home to Foreclosure.  Their original home was torn down and a new home put in it's place in January of 2005. Three and a half years later, and BAM!

I guess it wasn't enough that the materials to build the home, which were donated to build this mini-mansion would have been about $450,000.  In addition, the family received about $250,000 for things like scholarships for the children.  The family took out a mortgage on the home, for whatever reason, and now it is to be auctioned off on the courthouse steps.

I just don't get it.  How could this happen?  You have a home handed to you, and then for whatever reason you take a large mortgage out on the home?  I can't help but think that these people had poor counsel or none at all.  I can't help but think that they somehow acted foolishly.  I can't help but think that may ABC needs to stop handing things out like this, and maybe do it the way Habitat does it.  Make them work, make them pay, and don't overdo it.   Each person who gets a home through Habitat for Humanity does not get the home for FREE.  They have to take part in the construction, they have to make mortgage payments, and they have to agree to donate their time to future things.

Too many people who appear to have fallen on bad times are there because of foolish decisions.  This sort of thing makes me sick.

I was surprised to find out that Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in California has convinced both Barack Obama and John McCain to have their first forum at his church.  Both agreed to the forum if the megachurch pastor was the only one asking the questions.  Rick said he won't ask many questions about the hot potato issues dominating the campaign, but more pointed questions about their world views and defending the constitution.  Warren appeared on CNN to discuss the upcoming forum.

Both Obama and McCain claim to be people of great faith, and Warren claims he is friends with both of them and likes both of them.

Now, how to I categorize this?  As NEWS, POLITICS, OR RELIGION?

Either way, I suspect it will be a refreshing change from the debates and rhetoric of the typical campaign.  I think if they can get away from the issues, they might be more telling of what an Obama or McCain presidency might look like. I still don't like either one of them though.

Did you know that there are still what could be considered Dinosaurs on the earth?

Did you know that there is more scientific evidence supporting accounts in the Bible than there are in support of Evolution?

Did you know that Evolution has been debunked repeatedly, time and time again, it is a theory of falsities and outright lies, and is still being taught as fact in our public schools?

Do you remember in 1977 when Japanese fisherman found what you might call a "water dinosaur"?  US Media Outlets refused to carry the story, but it was such a popular event, that the Japanese government issued a postage stamp to commemorate it?

Did you know that in Texas, and in other places in the world that there are human footprints right along side of dinosaur footprints?

Did you know that the largest human skeleton found was found in Italy, it was that of a woman and stood 11 feet 6 inches tall?

Did you know that while drilling for oil in Arctic Alaska, some 1400 feel down they found the remains of plants and trees that only grow in a subtropic to tropical climate?

You've heard of the Mammoth that was found frozen in the Frost in north?  But did you hear about the sheep and horses and cows, and that one in particular had buttercup still in it's mouth, a plant that is not native to that area?  Or was it?

These are just tidbits of information, and you can find it all on internet.  Much of it debunks evolution, and definitely debunks the notion that man did not appear on the earth until 2 millions years ago and that dinosaurs are extinct.  Don't ask me to point to the sources.  You need to do the research for yourself.

There is so much evidence to support a very young earth, and there is no evidence whatsoever that has been able to debunk anything at all in the Bible. Absolutely nothing.  Many have tried, and they have their theories, but that is all they are, and those theories are not grounded in any type of reality.

Yet, many still continue to believe lie after lie after lie.  Evolution as taught in our schools is a lie.  But, some people just can't handle the truth.  Theories about the age of the earth being 4-6 billion years old are purely conjecture.

But all too often, we choose to believe what we are told, and we fail to do the research ourselves.  So what's stopping you?

I have recently come to learn about something that totally baffles me. Black Liberation Theology, which is credited primarily to so-called theologian James Cone. These same teachings are taught at Trinity United Church of Christ where Reverend Jeremiah Wright was the pastor, and where Barak Obama attended for some 20 years. Rev. Wright uses the premise of black liberation theology as a benchmark for the mission and vision of that particular church. Slain black leader Malcolm X once said the following, and this is just part of the centerpiece of Wrights work:

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

Have you ever heard of this? What do you think of it? Is it racist as so many have said? Do you think that since Barak Obama attended Rev. Wrights church for so many years that this type of teaching has influenced him? I think it has and it does, and that he is trying to hide it.

Bottom line - I believe Obama is a racist by association, whether past or present with the racist Reverend Jeremiah Wright. It is already obvious that Michelle Obama is a racist, and that will be more clear if Obama is elected president.

Mark my words. Barak Hussein Obama is a danger to this country, and if he gets elected, watch out, cuz the fat lady is getting ready to do her last performance.

I just want to let you now that there really are STUPID people. They are everywhere. They are politicians, judges, teachers, police people, ministers, lawyers, doctors, people in the media, entertainers, gosh, I can't list them all.

Granted, there are a lot of SMART people too. They tend to be the ones that you hear very little or nothing at all from.

I have no problem calling someone stupid. I used to refrain from it, but I have repented of those ways. If something or someone is STUPID, I'm going to speak up. Stupid people need to be made aware of the stupidity, not that they will ever smarten up.  Stupid peple tend to stay that way.  There are some STUPID PEOPLE who sometimes sound intelligent, like Barak Obama or John McCain.

Some of the most intelligent people I have met have held what many consider the most menial of occupations. Some of the stupidest people I have met had college degrees and distinguished positions.

For this blog, please list, one person who you believe to be SMART and one person who you believe is STUPID. I'll start.

SMART - Maureen - my waitress at Roosters Restaurant
STUPID - Charlie Crist - gubuhnuh ub fluhwuhduh

BTW, I consider myself pretty stupid at times, but at least I'm aware of it.

Gas prices are high because stupid people put stupid people in office election after election.  Gas prices are high because of unchecked speculation.  Gas prices are high because George Bush's blind trust is full of oil, and he 's in bed with the Saudi's.  If I had that much money, I know would care less about the price of a gallon of gas.

Maybe so many Americans are angry about high gas because they suck at managing their own money? Not maybe, but definitely.  Americans taken in by easy mortgages, no payments til 2009 and wild living.  Suck it up America, it's not just the politicians, big oil and speculators that created this mess, your pathetic existence is the main reason. So quit pointing the finger at everyone else, and point it at yourself, because you are to blame for your apathy, your complacency and your stupidity.  You made your bed , now lie in it.  It's time for my bicycle ride.

'God' meets judge in Hillsborough court

TAMPA -- God Lucky Howard landed in jail last week after Tampa police said he sold drugs near a church, among other places.

Today, he was supposed to plead his case for reduced bail before an earthly judge.

God was present. His attorney wasn't, so the hearing got delayed until next week.

But first, Hillsborough Circuit Judge Walter Heinrich considered the name of the man standing before him.

"Is this a nickname?" the judge asked. "God Lucky? Is this a real name?"

It was hard to hear God's answer.

"Interesting," the judge said. "I've never seen that before."

Heinrich looked at God's case file.

"Let's see why we're here, to see if you're getting into heaven," the judge said. "Just kidding, of course."

I was driving in downtown Brooksville on May 22 a little after 2 p.m. A Big Yellow Chevy Duallie  was parallel parking as I approached an intersection, when I thought he was done parking, I slowly eased past his apparently parked vehicle toward the intersection, where the light was red, and came to a stop. My cousin, in the car with me heard someone yelling. He said "that guy was yelling at you". I said "no, his radio was just blasting". About that time, a man came running up to my car and with his arm and side of his fist slammed it against my drivers window twice, using all sorts of profanity, accusing me of trying to hit his truck. I rolled down my window to try to diffuse the situation, and he proceeded to try to punch by throwing his fist at through the car window, so I stepped on the gas to avoid him. According to another witness on the street, he went to the back of my car, punched the rear quarterpanel, and now there is a dent there. The man went into the courthouse for something. I called 911, the man hurried out of the courthouse and got in his truck just as the police arrived. I wrote out a statement, as did my cousin, and the other witness. The man was not arrested or even ticketed. I had to wait until the day after Memorial day, I had to go to the courthouse to fill out a non-arrest affidavit at the state attorney's office and I have to be the one to pursue charges. To me the case is cut and dry. The man was not in control and committed Road Rage and Assault. The man committed a crime. Why was he not arrested?  Maybe some of you have some possible answers.

The man committed a crime. Why was he not arrested? I can't get an answer from the Brooksville Police as to why. Maybe some of you have some possible answers.

I've seen a bunch of very intelligent people come through these parts.  I have also seen a lot of misinformed come through here as well.  I've seen people in here argue a point just to argue it, whether they are right or wrong.  I have seen people who are misled.  I have seen people who are prejudiced.  I have seen people who know what they believe.  I have seen people with strong convictions on a variety of subjects.  I have seen the opposite of all of these too.

What have you seen?

****The people who think they know all the answers rarely listen to the questions and make themselves out to be morons.

****The people who admit they don't have all the answers, are usually the wisest of them all.

****Those who think before they speak are often silent.

It makes you wonder if some people should ponder, To BLOG or NOT to BLOG? That is the question.  What will your answer be?

Sharon Stone apologized for saying that "maybe" the earthquake in China was just bad karma for all the oppression of Tibet.  I don't think she should have apologized.  IN fact, I'm kind of upset that she did.  She does not owe China anything, she was a star before she even splashed on the scene there.

There was NOTHING wrong with what she said.  Although I do not believe in KARMA, I do believe in God, and I believe both the blessings and the wrath of God falls on the just and the unjust.  Was the earthquake a sign from God? Or as Stone puts it, "Bad Karma"?

Let's look at the track record of the Chinese Government.  They are oppressive and abusive and blatant violators of human rights.  The evidence is very clear.

While I do not wish ill upon anyone, except those who would try to make me speak Spanish, I do believe that there is a God, and that God is very aware of what is going on.

So, is the earthquake punishment?  Is the cyclone in Burna punishment?  One can't help but wonder what will happen right here in the USA.  What are we in for?

KARMA?

Hi, I'm a musician, I live in a house and I have 3 dogs. I believe in God and Jesus, and am the most imperfect person in the world. The hand I have been dealt is better than most, but not as good as others. I am blessed to be alive, and looking forward to the day when this body will be replaced.
