Fire At Jenkins Creek

There was a fire at  Jenkins Creek Park in Weeki Wachi,Sunday..My family and I came back from a day of going up the river and having a wonderful Easter Sunday to see the fire in its beginning stages.I believe it was Volunteer Fire Department 52 Hernando Beach...that responded very quickly to a mans call to 911.

I took some pictures and video with my digital camera.I have them posted on youtube under  my channel NoviceKiti...

It's heart breaking to see these kind of things..we go to Jenkins Creek Park all the time for fishing and boating.I love taking pictures there because of the wonderful scenery and wildlife..

I think I have been to this place. Does it have a really deep hole for diving? And what started the fire?

We're not sure what started the fire.I would hate to speculate and assume anything.If you go down to Rogers Park and go up the river there is a hole that's about 100+ft.deep.Divers go down all the time and the fishing in it is good.At Jenkins Creek Park,which is down the road from Rogers Park,is where my family and I do all our local fishing.Mullet is pretty good out there.It justs depends on what you bring to fish with.

I'm a mother of 3 boys,engaged to be married to a wonderful man.I love to take pictures of just about anything..I love to go fishing any chance I get,it helps that the rest of the family does too,which also makes for great photo opportunities.
